As Scarlett Jennings was contemplating this and planning to suggest an alternative, Samuel Chalrs said,
“The back door will do.”

If she were told this was his own house, she’d believe it.
Scarlett Jennings quickly followed him with Little Pretty and was about to take him through the corridor to the west wing.

Adam Jennings naturally accepted it as him not noticing the guest’s arrival,
“Apologies, I didn’t realize you had arrived.”
“It’s alright,” Samuel Chalrs said, gesturing toward Scarlett Jennings, “Shall we go? Aren’t you going to show around?”
Scarlett Jennings quickly caught on, reciprocating with an equally composed deanor, nodded to Adam Jennings, and then followed Samuel Chalrs and Little Pretty as they left together.
Upon reaching the stairs of the west wing, once they ensured Adam Jennings was no longer in sight, she suddenly grabbed Samuel Chalrs’s hand,
“Let’s hurry.”
Samuel Chalrs watched the hand clutching his wrist, then at her sneaky, anxious appearance, and subconsciously followed her quickly down the stairs, unable to suppress a slight smile at the corners of his mouth.
Out of sight, on the third floor, standing by the window overlooking the stairs to the west wing, Donovan Jennings watched the pair head downstairs and then toward the back door, a trace of exasperation in his peach blossom eyes.
“Ha.”

That afternoon, at Lucas Jennings’s strong insistence, Scarlett Jennings took Little Pretty to the house they bought for her.
Surprisingly, Kingston Jennings, Adam Jennings, and Chase Jennings also went along.
Originally, Lucas Jennings didn’t want Chase Jennings to go.
Even though Ava Zimrman’s matter had been resolved, Chase Jennings’s previous actions had left Scarlett Jennings indifferent to him despite resolving his issues.
Lucas Jennings feared that Chase’s presence would affect his sister’s mood while “inspecting the gift.”

Chase Jennings hadn’t planned on going but upon Lucas’s words, instantly insisted on joining.

Before, Scarlett Jennings only knew they purchased a city-center condo for her to have her own space, but she didn’t know Lucas Jennings had chosen the most luxurious developnt in the city center.
As Lucas Jennings led them upstairs, he introduced,
“There’s only one unit per floor here, with a single suite area of 388. Although a bit small, it’s good for occasional stays
And there’s a surprise in every room which you’ll definitely love when you see it!”
Lucas Jennings kept chatting until the elevator doors opened, before they reached the entrance door.
Lucas Jennings was ready to let Scarlett Jennings perform a housewarming ceremony, but he noticed her pausing with a concentrated expression.
Everyone noticed the oddity, “What’s wrong?”
They heard Scarlett Jennings speak solemnly,
“In this house… there’s a demon’s presence.”
