Chapter 364: Chapter 364: Say You’re Senile and You Still Won’t Believe It

Old Mrs. Jennings looked up at her suddenly taller grandson, her eyes filled with disbelief.

Not just because of his actions, but even more so because of his words.

“Are you really Chase?”

He actually called Azura an outsider?

And said she was senile??

How… how could such words co from Chase Jennings’s mouth?

Hearing Old Mrs. Jennings’s questioning, Jacob Zimrman’s heart suddenly skipped a beat, realizing his behavior clearly deviated from his character. Just as he was about to smooth things over, he saw the old lady seed genuinely angered, actually pulling out her phone to make a call.

“I—I can’t deal with you anymore… You’re really out of line now, I’m calling your younger uncle over, let him co back now, and have your eldest uncle return too, to deal with you!”

Although Old Mrs. Jennings asked that question, she truly hadn’t considered the possibility that her grandson might not be himself, and she hadn’t thought about Azura Loomis’s situation either.

Old Mrs. Jennings didn’t think much of it, but her actions in Jacob Zimrman’s eyes was not the sa, he thought he was really exposed.

Even if not exposed, if Old Mrs. Jennings called others over, other mbers of the Jennings family might think of possession.

His heart tightened, and without thinking too much, he rushed forward and snatched the old lady’s mobile phone.

Old Mrs. Jennings was shocked again, she looked at Chase Jennings, only to see her grandson’s expression unfamiliar and fierce, his voice deliberately lowered as a warning,

“Old hag, mind your own business!”

The old lady was stunned.

She was not an inexperienced old woman after all; seeing the reaction opposite, she understood everything,

“Are you really not Chase?”

How could this be possible?

While shocked, her hand subtly moved, tremblingly reaching towards the armrest of the wheelchair.

On the armrest, there was an ergency call button, designed for situations when the old lady might face an ergency while alone.

After her phone was taken, Old Mrs. Jennings realized how unfavorable the situation was for her.

The Jennings family always had a well-prepared plan for such dangers.

Jacob Zimrman didn’t notice her actions, thinking the old lady was still in shock. When her trembling hand touched the switch on the armrest, his face suddenly changed,

“What are you doing?!”

He bellowed and stepped forward, but it was too late.

Just as Old Mrs. Jennings’s hand touched the button, about to press it, her eyes suddenly locked onto the doll placed on the shelf opposite as if forcibly drawn to it.

Following that, her consciousness fell into a mont of daze, as if the world was spinning, and when she regained her senses, her field of vision had completely changed.

Her vision narrowed, and what she saw was herself sitting in the wheelchair.

Old Mrs. Jennings was utterly shocked.

What… how did this happen?

How could she be seeing herself?

Could it be that her soul had left her body?

But just as Old Mrs. Jennings tried to move closer to her own body, she found herself completely unable to move.

She opened her mouth to call for help, but her voice seed to be confined in a space, unable to get out.

What frightened her even more was that the “her” on the other side slowly lifted her eyes to et hers again.

“That was close…”

The voice of the “Old Mrs. Jennings” sounded, with a hoarse note of relief, as she slowly withdrew her hand from the button and unconsciously braced herself to stand.

However, after pushing herself up halfway, she quickly fell back into the wheelchair.

“Tch… This old lady’s body is not so good, can’t even stand up.”

But it was better than her previous state.

The original “her” had a stroke, almost half her body was paralyzed, and she had to lie in bed all day, totally relying on others for basic needs.

This old lady can still move and speak clearly, not to ntion having a dedicated nurse by her side, her life is much better now.

When Jacob Zimrman saw the change in the old Mrs. Jennings’s expression, he knew the system had successfully possessed her, and the soul currently occupying the old lady’s body was another living soul like him.

He sighed in relief.

Good.

It was close to being a disaster.

He had just switched to this body today, and he didn’t want to be discovered so soon.

The old lady in the wheelchair glanced at him and scoffed,

“Young man, you are not as reliable as us older folks.”

If it weren’t for the old lady’s “doll” being not far from her body, the possession might not have been so tily.

It was also fortunate that nothing loud occurred.

Mrs. Jennings watched “herself” and the person pretending to be her grandson exchange questions and answers, her mind was a ss for a mont.

She never believed in ghosts and spirits, but now she was forced to believe what was happening right before her eyes.

Also, from her current perspective, she dimly guessed what was happening, but couldn’t bring herself to believe it.

However, it didn’t take long for Jacob Zimrman to shatter her self-deception.

The man, occupying Chase Jennings’ body, slowly walked towards her, then reached out and took the old lady down from the shelf.

Mrs. Jennings couldn’t move, but she still had sensation, along with the change in perspective.

Reluctant as she was to believe it, she finally understood at that mont, she was trapped inside the doll.

Trapped inside the doll… that Azura had given her.

Was it true, then, what Donovan Jennings and Scarlett Jennings had previously ntioned about Azura’s dead doll Evil Technique?

Is what happening to her now also related to Azura?

Mrs. Jennings couldn’t believe it, and didn’t want to believe it.

How could her Azura do such a thing to her?

While she was denying it to herself, she heard “Chase Jennings” tell “her”,

“You are now Mrs. Jennings, and you can’t just leave the Jennings Family. Azura Loomis said to have you stay in the Jennings Family, I will take the doll back now.”

After possession, the doll was no longer useful, but to avoid being discovered and having the magic release the original living soul, these dolls all needed to be taken back for safekeeping.

Mrs. Jennings could no longer hear what the two were saying clearly.

Her mind was consud with the phrase “Azura Loomis said” that “Chase Jennings” had just spoken.

Azura Loomis… it was actually Azura…

So these two “ghosts” were brought by her to replace her and Chase Jennings…

What… what exactly does she want to do?!

It was at this mont, Mrs. Jennings finally realized she truly had been mistaken.

The granddaughter she had cherished for so many years… turned out to be soone with such malicious intentions.

How could she dare?!

But at this mont, no matter how much Mrs. Jennings regretted or raged, no one could see her trapped inside the doll.

Before Jacob Zimrman pocketed her, he gave her one last look, as if knowing her feelings at the mont, and didn’t forget to taunt her,

“I told you Azura Loomis was no good, but when I said you were getting senile you didn’t believe it~”

Mrs. Jennings: …

Pfft.

It feels like being shot in the chest.

It hurts a bit.
