Liancheng Film and Television Base.

Ariel Zimrman returned to the crew overnight, and went straight into work the next day.

Having taken a few days off, her schedule was already tight, and with all emotional scenes concentrated, Director Ian was initially worried that Ariel wouldn’t imdiately get into character.

Unexpectedly, Ariel’s state was even better than before her leave.

Especially in her scenes with the male lead, despite playing a gentle and sweet girl-next-door, her presence completely overshadowed the male actor.

It seems that taking a break has its benefits.

"Cut!"

Director Ian called out, and for once cast a look of appreciation at Ariel,

"Ariel’s emotional outburst just now was spot-on. Max, gather your emotions again, and let’s do one more take."

The actor called Max nodded to show he understood, and looked at Ariel with a sowhat wry smile,

"Teacher Zimrman, your presence was a bit overwhelming just now, could you give your junior a little break?"

Ariel, however, wasn’t her usual diplomatic self; instead, she gave him a sidelong glance and said,

"Don’t talk to right now, I’m not in the mood for n."

Max was visibly surprised by her words, and his face imdiately took on a gossipy look, completely forgetting the first part of her sentence,

"Soone actually managed to upset our Teacher Zimrman, who could it be?"

"Don’t worry about it, focus on your scene,"

said Ariel, ignoring him and turning around to return to her spot for a break.

The manager knew where she had been last night, and it was the first ti they had seen their artist cry so pitifully.

Originally wanting to persuade her to rest for a couple of days before resuming work, they found she wouldn’t listen, determined to devote herself to the crew.

The manager had mixed feelings.

Both relieved by her dedication and sowhat worried about her.

Handing over a cup of milk tea, they said,

"Here, full sugar with milk and pearls for you."

Ariel’s eyes widened as she looked at the large cup of milk tea presented before her. Just about to take it, she hesitated,

"Wait, full sugar?! Aren’t I only allowed to have one-third sugar?"

This cup’s sugar content was clearly excessive, wasn’t it?

The manager shrugged, "Just this once, it’s fine. For your hard work and determination."

Pausing, they added,

"Also, having sothing sweet can help lift your spirits."

That last point was obviously the main reason.

Ariel smiled a little, her smile almost returning to its usual charm.

Without hesitation, she took the milk tea, poked it open, and took a big sip.

The next second, her face showed a satisfied expression from the sugar boost.

Ariel took another sip, sighing deeply before saying,

"Don’t worry about , I’m in great form now. As the saying goes, without a man in one’s heart, the sword becos divine by nature. My goal now is to beco the Best Actress!"

Who cares about those lousy n? She didn’t miss them at all.

In the entertainnt industry, there’s no need to be in a relationship.

From this point on, she, Ariel Zimrman, would focus solely on her career!

As she said this, she picked up the script beside her and began to study it earnestly.

The manager looked at her with a bit of helplessness.

If she truly didn’t care, why would a phone-addicted girl intentionally leave her phone behind, not even asking about it during her break today?

Instead of lingering, the manager turned to head towards the RV.

The assistant was still organizing Ariel’s things, and Ariel’s flashy phone was on the car.

With a pout, the manager asked,

"Did anyone call for Ariel on her phone?"

During work, the phone is usually kept by the assistant. Hearing the manager, the assistant nodded imdiately,

"There were many calls, the crew’s PR manager, Mr. Lester from the company, Mrs. Zimrman, and..."

After hearing a list of ssages from the assistant, not hearing the one they wanted, the manager couldn’t help but interrupt,

"Did that person send any ssages?"

"Who?"

The assistant was a bit confused, and after exchanging glances with the manager for a while, the manager simply waved it off,

"Never mind, even if that person contacts her, don’t let Ariel know. We don’t want to disturb her current state."

With that, they turned to leave, pausing to add,

"But you can tell ."

As her manager, they were truly concerned about their little star.

...

Ariel had no idea what the manager was doing. At this mont, she was sitting with milk tea, staring blankly at Max’s retake.

As she watched, under the lights, Max’s face seed to blur into another solemn, stern figure with a hint of aloofness in his voice.

Realizing her distraction, Ariel shook her head, turned away, not watching any further.

Having just co back, Director Ian didn’t schedule any overnight shoots for her, but even so, by the ti Ariel returned to the hotel room, it was already dark.

There were always fans waiting for her at the door as she went to and from work.

No matter what emotions she felt inside, Ariel always presented a sweet and friendly face to the fans.

Smiling and waving goodbye to fans, the mont she turned around and got into the car, she thought she caught a glimpse of a familiar figure among the crowd.

But before she could take a closer look, that figure was swallowed up by the crowd.

Sitting in the car, Ariel berated herself for being useless.

Her gaze fell on the phone the assistant handed over, but Ariel didn’t take it imdiately, instead asking,

"Was there anyone looking for ?"

The assistant repeated what they had previously told the manager.

Not hearing the na she hoped for, her chest filled with a sense of disappointnt that she tried to suppress. Finally, she couldn’t resist picking up her phone.

Quickly scrolling through, she found neither chat ssages nor calls from that person. Her heart sank a little. Out of frustration, she tossed the phone onto the seat and slumped angrily to the side.

At that mont, she seed to have forgotten that she had blocked that person just the day before.

But even if she rembered, what difference would it make?

If he truly wanted to contact her, even blocked and deleted, he would always find a way to reach her.

The lack of ssages signified that he had no intention to explain or contact her.

She should have known it.

Despite knowing, she still felt saddened.

Silent, she returned to the hotel, and after entering the elevator, she simply leaned back with her eyes closed. Her assistant assud she was tired and didn’t disturb her.

Just as the elevator doors were about to close, she heard a ding.

The elevator was reopened from outside.

Ariel stood up instinctively, opened her eyes, and was taken aback by the sight of the man standing outside.

Outside the elevator, Gregory Xander dressed casually, with a backpack, and a calm yet firm expression, looked at her.

Their eyes t, Ariel was just questioning whether her eyes were playing tricks on her when his steady voice from outside the elevator asked,

"May I co in?"

Even as he asked, he was already stepping into the elevator without hesitation.

In the small space, with the familiar face so close, Ariel finally realized this was no hallucination.

Gregory Xander, he had indeed co.

Ca to find her...
