Above the Golden Light, the dense Heavenly Thunder almost engulfed Emily Hearne’s figure.
Emily Hearne stood confidently amidst the lightning, her posture graceful, with nine tails swaying behind her. Nine strands of lightning mixed with Fox Fire hurtled towards the Heavenly Thunder.
With a loud bang, the light from the two clashing bolts of lightning nearly illuminated the land of Cathay, otherwise shrouded in a vortex.
There was not a mont to catch a breath; the next second, several bolts of Heavenly Thunder rushed towards Emily Hearne.
Everyone could only hear the constant explosions over their heads, accompanied by the flashing lightning.
No one noticed a demon glow piercing the Heavenly Thunder and entering the vortex leading to the Otherworld.
The demon glow, guided by the bloodline’s resonance, approached a specific place but was intercepted by an invisible barrier.
Only the blood mixed within the demon glow transford into two wisps of smoke when close to the barrier, seeping through.
The two blood-colored wisps of smoke quickly flowed through the Realm but could not find a bloodline that resonated with them.
Just as the wisps were about to dissipate, one of them seed to sense sothing and suddenly penetrated deep into the Realm, into a slumbering body.
As the smoke vanished, the man who had been asleep abruptly opened his eyes; the confusion in them instantly transford into clarity. He opened his mouth and softly called out,
"...Scarlett."
His daughter.
This man was Luca Jennings.
Previously, Magnolia Hearne had brought the slumbering Luca Jennings into the Ten-tailed Realm. After Magnolia was sent away, Scarlett Jennings, worried about Shu’e’s harm, left Luca in the Realm.
The strand of smoke that rged with his body ca from another world, another version of him.
Luca Jennings felt like he had been dreaming for a long ti. And in that dream, Magnolia Hearne was his wife, and Scarlett Jennings his real daughter.
The mont he realized this, the villa room before him suddenly transford into a vast and boundless prairie.
Luca Jennings looked at the sprawling Greenwild space before him, not knowing why he was there. But he knew he needed to find his child.
"Scarlett..."
Luca Jennings tentatively called out, and with his call, a faint light suddenly ignited in his chest.
He stared steadily for a mont, then suddenly raised his voice, shouting, "Scarlett! Answer !"
The light in his chest brightened with his call.
Already within her Realm, his cries, accompanied by the glowing bloodline resonance, swiftly penetrated the Mist Barrier, heading sowhere.
What he didn’t know was that at this mont, deep in the Otherworld Heavens’s Domain...
Scarlett Jennings had successfully entered the Otherworld Heavens’s Golden Light Barrier, tentatively reaching out, then grabbing the small tree enveloped by the Golden Light.
Stella Gibson and the others widened their eyes at her actions, unable to resist gulping.
"Wasn’t it said that the sapling might be the Heavens’s essence... Did she really just grab it?"
Jasmine Hamilton and Greta were speechless; only Shellback managed to find so voice,
"Perhaps... it’s not that simple, unsure, let’s watch."
Despite their hopeful gaze, Scarlett showed no difficulty or discomfort.
However, when she moved the sapling from its central position, the Golden Light Barrier enveloping it disappeared almost instantly.
Then, the limitless darkness symbolizing the Otherworld’s disaster rushed towards her.
Scarlett Jennings and the sapling were imdiately engulfed by darkness, along with the Golden Light Barrier that surrounded them.
Thankfully, the next mont, Scarlett Jennings promptly expanded a larger Golden Light Barrier.
But this ti, as the Golden Light Barrier unfurled, its edges were visibly devoured by darkness.
Scarlett instinctively looked at the sapling in her hand, realizing that what the darkness sought to devour might not be them, but the sapling.
Scarlett didn’t understand why she felt compelled to take it away.
But upon touching it, a voice within urged her to rescue it.
So she acted.
Now that she had moved it from its original barrier, Scarlett realized she couldn’t abandon it.
"Run quickly."
Scarlett advised, turning to lead them swiftly back in the direction they ca.
Finding an exit in the Otherworld Heavens’s Domain was difficult, but they could return to her Realm through the original gap.
As they navigated the darkness with the Golden Light Barrier, Stella couldn’t help but ask,
"Are we truly heading in the right direction?"
As the darkness devoured the Golden Light, it seed to consu their senses as well.
Before them lay nothing but deep darkness; they couldn’t determine if this was the right direction.
Seeing nothing but endless blackness, and as the Golden Light Barrier was nearly engulfed, Scarlett tightened her grip on the sapling.
At that mont.
A call echoed faintly through the darkness.
Scarlett glanced at Stella and the others, noticing they hadn’t reacted—it was evident she alone heard the call.
Intuitively, she paused, trying to listen more clearly.
Shellback was anxious, "Scarlett, run!"
Scarlett, however, raised a hand, stopping his words.
"Shh, don’t speak yet."
As they quieted again, Scarlett listened carefully and finally heard the call clearly.
Soone was calling her...
It was her father’s voice!
Scarlett suddenly turned in the direction of the voice, though it led nowhere visible, she was certain it originated there.
Without hesitation, she altered her path in the direction of the voice.
Stella and the others followed promptly.
As they drew nearer, the voice only Scarlett could hear beca clearer, revealing a faint glimr in the darkness.
As they approached, the light pierced the darkness, finally connecting with their Golden Light Barrier.
Ultimately, as the darkness threatened to consu the Golden Light behind them, they stepped forward, breaking free of the darkness.
Scarlett Jennings imdiately saw Luca Jennings in the center of the Realm, straining to call out.
And as she stepped back into her Realm with the sapling, a spiritual light flashed in her mind.
The Realm before her transford in that instant.
The Greenwild Mountains vanished, replaced by a vast expanse of golden emptiness.
She stood within this emptiness, her surroundings suddenly devoid of others, with only her and the sapling, their awareness transcending space and ti, looking at each other.
Upon opening her eyes again, golden light flickered in Scarlett’s eyes as she beheld the familiar Ten-tailed Realm. She raised her hand without hesitation.
The Realm transford into the golden Ten-tailed Sky Fox, which swished its ten tails in response to her movent.
The next instant, tens of thousands of gold strands flew like fiery streams towards the void of the Realm.
Just as tens of thousands of gold strands had once pierced the Realm from the Otherworld Heavens, Scarlett returned them unchanged.
The golden light broke through the Realm, simultaneously shattering the seal imposed on the Realm by the Otherworld Heavens.
With a resounding crack, the Realm’s barrier fractured.
They erged.
