"Brother, bring the only limited Black Gold Card we have at ho and co to the auction to save little Yu!"

From afar at the Nan Family Ancestral Mansion, Nan Zhuoyuan’s expression turned sharp in a flash upon hearing Nan Zhou’s words, his voice filled with concern.

"A’Zhou, what happened at the auction? Why do we need the Black Gold Card?"

On the other end of the phone, Nan Zhou kept saying, "Big Brother, it’s a long story, just hurry over with the Black Gold Card."

"If you don’t co soon, little Yu might die here at this auction tonight!"

After saying this, Nan Zhou imdiately hung up.

Nan Zhuoyuan frowned upon hearing the busy tone from the other end, exuding a dangerous aura that warned others to stay away.

Suddenly, the worried voice of Duan Zhu ca from behind him.

"Zhuo Yuan, who was that on the phone? Did sothing happen to little Yu?"

Nan Zhuoyuan quickly suppressed his emotions, turning around to look at Duan Zhu lying on the bed, her face filled with worry.

He tried to put on a carefree smile, "Mom, little Yu is fine. That was a call from A’Zhou. He took a fancy to sothing at the auction and wants to bid on it for little Yu."

"A’Zhou doesn’t have enough money, so he’s asking to bring him a bank card."

Upon hearing this, Duan Zhu’s worried expression vanished instantly, replaced by a smile.

"A’Zhou has grown up, he even knows to prepare gifts for little Yu."

While Nan Zhuoyuan was inwardly worried about what Nan Zhou had said, he responded with a smile, "Mom, I’ll let Li Xue stay ho with you, and I will go take a look at the auction."

Duan Zhu lay back down with ease and smiled at him, "Okay, just help him look around a bit more. I’m afraid he might choose sothing unsuitable for little Yu, and it’d be awkward if she doesn’t like it."

"Okay, Mom."

Nan Zhuoyuan grabbed his suit jacket and headed downstairs without delay.

Before he could get into the car, Li Xue ca down from upstairs and called out to him.

"Zhuo Yuan, wait a mont."

Nan Zhuoyuan paused in his motion to get into the car and turned back, puzzled, to look at his wife.

"Li Xue, what’s wrong?"

Li Xue stood gracefully under the light, pulling out a Black Gold Card, and handed it to Nan Zhuoyuan.

"Zhuo Yuan, Mom asked to give this to you. She said to give the card to A’Zhou and let him use it to pay."

She said this while straightening Nan Zhuoyuan’s suit, a hint of hesitation flickering in her eyes.

Nan Zhuoyuan looked at the Black Gold Card in his hand, noticing the emotion in Li Xue’s eyes.

"Li Xue, is there sothing you want to tell ?"

Li Xue and Nan Zhuoyuan had been married for over a decade; she could understand his every look and gesture.

That phone call just now had clearly not been about A’Zhou needing to borrow money from Zhuo Yuan, but rather that sothing had gone wrong.

"Has A’Zhou gotten into so trouble?"

eting her keen and understanding gaze, Nan Zhuoyuan knew he couldn’t hide anything from her and decided not to keep it from her any longer.

"It’s not A’Zhou who’s in trouble, it’s little Yu."

Hearing this, Li Xue’s pupils contracted as she anxiously asked, "What happened to little Yu?"

Nan Zhuoyuan shook his head, "I’m not clear on the specifics yet, but sothing unexpected seems to have happened at the auction."

"A’Zhou sounded panicked and asked to rush over to save little Yu."

Upon hearing this, Li Xue hurriedly said, "Then you must go quickly. Right now, little Yu’s matter is the biggest issue at ho, nothing must go wrong!"

Nan Zhuoyuan did not hesitate further, turning to get into the car. Before leaving, he made sure not to forget to say through the car window to Li Xue, "Li Xue, don’t tell Mom about this. She’s only just recovering and can’t take any shock. Don’t tell anybody else at ho either, to prevent any slips. I’ll go to the auction and see what’s happening."
