Xia Xing, through the rearview mirror, saw the direction in which that car left and pondered for a mont, talking to himself.
"I rember Secretary Chen telling that recently the Ghost Doctor has been coming every day to treat President Huo’s legs. Although the Young Madam is skilled in dicine, it’s impossible for her to be the Ghost Doctor."
"Previously, at the matriarch’s place, Dean Li personally asked about the Young Madam’s relationship with the Ghost Doctor. The Young Madam said she didn’t know them. If the Young Madam really was the Ghost Doctor, the matriarch would have asked her to treat President Huo a long ti ago."
"Moreover, the Young Madam is currently busy dealing with the Nan Family’s matters, there’s also the matter of her becoming the beloved daughter of the Nan Family."
"Therefore, it’s impossible for the Young Madam to be the Ghost Doctor, and the person I just saw definitely wasn’t the Young Madam!"
Convinced that he had seen wrong, Xia Xing turned his head and cast aside the scene he had just witnessed.
He hastily stopped the car and went upstairs first.
Upon entering President Huo’s ho, he made his way familiarly straight towards the bedroom.
Knock knock.
"President Huo, it’s Xia Xing."
The next second, the smart door lock emitted a click sound as the door unlocked.
Xia Xing turned the handle and entered, only to see Huo Juanyan lying on the bed, completely immobile and drenched in sweat.
"President Huo, are you alright?"
Having regained a bit of strength, Huo Juanyan pursed his lips and looked at him, "Help to the bathroom."
Xia Xing imdiately approached and supported Huo Juanyan’s body, "President Huo, you scared to death when you called ; I thought sothing serious had happened."
He was about to go to sleep when he received a call from President Huo. The voice on the phone was weak and could only spit out two words—
"Co quick."
After hanging up the phone, Xia Xing rushed over by car without any delay, fearing the worst for President Huo.
Huo Juanyan, borrowing so of his strength, sat in his wheelchair, made his way to the bathroom, and then lay down in the warm dicinal bath.
His stern face conveyed the composure of a superior as he glanced sideways at Xia Xing.
"Xia Xing, thank you for your hard work tonight."
Xia Xing, seeing that he was alright, let out a big sigh of relief, "President Huo, you really scared to death. I thought sothing happened to you; I was about to call the police."
Huo Juanyan closed his eyes, allowing his entire body to soak in the dicinal bath, feeling the effects gently easing the pain in his legs.
"I’m fine. At least the treatnt thods used by the Ghost Doctor are special; after the treatnt, I’d be left without strength."
"I’ll have soone I called co over tomorrow, and then there won’t be any need to specifically call you over in the middle of the night."
He had already arranged for soone to co over tomorrow to help him into the dicinal bath after his treatnt.
Xia Xing nodded, "That’s good."
Huo Juanyan, with his eyes closed, said, "Xia Xing, you can go back first."
Upon hearing this, Xia Xing’s face still showed a look of concern.
"President Huo, I think it’s better for to wait until you’ve finished soaking and help you back to rest."
Huo Juanyan slowly opened a sliver of his eyes, glanced at Xia Xing, and waved his hand.
"No need, I’ll have strength after soaking."
Xia Xing still refused, "No, I’m not at ease. Let’s wait a while longer."
Seeing his resolute attitude, Huo Juanyan didn’t insist further.
"Then you stay in the guest room next door tonight."
Xia Xing didn’t refuse, "Okay, President Huo."
Suddenly, he rembered tomorrow’s schedule and looked towards Huo Juanyan with his eyes closed.
"President Huo, about the auction event tomorrow, you were originally scheduled to attend, but the matriarch has given the invitation to the Young Madam, saying there’s no need for you to go. Do you still plan on going?"
Huo Juanyan spoke faintly, "Since grandma has given it to her, let her go. But to outsiders, don’t ntion her relationship with the Huo Family, just treat her as an ordinary guest, and avoid unnecessary complications."
