"Officer, you’ve got it all wrong, the murderer isn’t Nan Luzhi, the real murderer is ."

The self-surrendering person’s face bore a proud smile, as if he wasn’t there to turn himself in but to receive a reward.

Yan Ren looked at his playful and smiling deanor, a surge of anger rising from the depths of his eyes. He glanced at the na on the report, and chastised him coldly.

"Zhou Bao, show so seriousness. This is a police station, not your ho!"

Zhou Bao pursed his lips, an impatient look flashing in his eyes, as he put on a reluctant smile.

"Alright, officer, I’ll be serious."

Yan Ren stared at him harshly, "You say you are the murderer, then how did you set the fire to burn the mountain? How did you do it?"

Upon ntioning this, Zhou Bao glanced at him again with irritation and said, "Officer, I just went through all this with that junior officer. Why don’t you just read the report?"

Next to Yan Ren, Officer Xiao Yang imdiately scolded with a stern voice.

"Zhou Bao, just say it when you’re told to, cut the nonsense!"

Hearing this voice, Zhou Bao glanced in their direction, making eye contact with Yan Ren’s emotionless, icy eyes, as though staring into the eyes of the Grim Reaper.

He swallowed hard and hurriedly said with a smile, "I’ll talk, I’ll talk."

"I knew Ren Xingzhou from before. I hated his sense of superiority. When we worked at the sa company, we fought several tis, but I always lost. I lost my job and face because of it."

"I’ve always been unable to let it go, feeling that he was the cause of it all. Why should he get such a good job with the Nan Family, going to the Deep Mountain Zoo to raise lions?"

"So I’ve been keeping an eye on what was happening there, looking for an opportunity to take revenge."

As he said this, the smile on Zhou Bao’s face beca even more evident, tainted with a hint of morbidity.

"I never expected I would actually get my chance!"

"That night, after getting drunk, I heard from another security guard that Mrs. Nan had an accident at the Deep Mountain Zoo and nearly died, and now the Nan Family had sent a lot of people to the zoo to find the murderer who had jumped off the cliff."

"I thought this was a great opportunity!"

Hearing this, Yan Ren’s expression turned grave as he observed his arrogant deanor.

"And then?"

Zhou Bao leaned forward, continuing with a boastful tone: "Then I signed up to go up the mountain, planning to kill Ren Xingzhou."

He paused for a second, then said through gritted teeth, "But what I didn’t expect was those damn lions getting to first, trying to bite to death."

Zhou Bao imdiately pulled down his collar to reveal the wound on his shoulder, his face showing a bit of grievance.

"Officer, look at this wound, it was bitten by those two beasts. I was just a little bit away from dying there."

Yan Ren glanced at the wound, which had obvious sharp tooth marks left by a ferocious beast.

"Continue."

Seeing no change in Yan Ren’s expression and no more pretense of being aggrieved from Zhou Bao, he adjusted his clothing and continued coldly.

"I took the hunting rifle and blew the lions’ heads off."

"The gunshots were too loud and woke Ren Xingzhou from his sleep. He ca out to kill , but I couldn’t let my long-awaited opportunity slip, so I had to act first, shooting him to maim and injure him."

Zhou Bao’s eyes brimd with excited emotions, as if reliving that night.

"Although he managed to escape with a breath left in him, there was no way I’d allow him a chance to co back."

"After he escaped, I killed all the lions in the zoo, and then set the entire mountain ablaze."

"I want him to suffer the Nan Family’s revenge, even if he lives. Forcing him to pay compensation, ruining his entire life!"
