Nan Yu appeared on ti at the entrance of the inpatient building.

She had her hair tied in a low ponytail, with so wispy bangs in front of her forehead and wearing black glasses, exuding an air of scholarly elegance.

She saw Li Chongbai standing alone at the door and walked up obediently.

"Uncle Li."

As soon as Li Chongbai saw her, his eyes lit up, noticing that she was wearing a mask, deliberately so that no one would recognize her.

He didn’t say much, just led her upstairs.

"Little... Yingying, they are all on the seventh floor. When we go up, just follow the procedure we agreed on before. If you have any problems, don’t be afraid, I have your back."

Nan Yu nodded, then handed another copy of the docunt she held to Li Chongbai, "Uncle Li, this is the treatnt plan I wrote overnight. Please take a look when you have ti today. If you find anything you think is not right, feel free to ntion it."

Li Chongbai took the docunt, "Okay, I’ll try to finish reading it today."

The elevator quickly arrived at the seventh floor.

Nan Yu followed behind Li Chongbai, entering the sa office she had entered the day before.

At this mont, the office was filled with doctors who, upon hearing the door open, all turned their heads to look at the entrance simultaneously.

All their gazes converged into an intense beam of light, shining on Nan Yu.

Each person’s expression was different, with curiosity, scrutiny, doubt, and so with hostility and disdain.

The whole space fell into a silence as deathly still as a tomb.

Eventually, Li Chongbai spoke up, breaking the frozen atmosphere.

"Everyone, this is my niece, Li Yingying. Starting from today, she will join our dical team, specifically responsible for the acupuncture treatnt of Madam."

Nan Yu stepped forward from behind, scanned the crowd, and said with a smile, "Greetings to all the seniors here, I am Li Yingying, still a trainee doctor. If there’s anything I don’t do well, I hope everyone can be generous with their understanding."

Upon her words, quietness descended once more.

The look in everyone’s eyes toward Nan Yu changed markedly, filled with contempt, along with a touch of disgust.

Especially the doctor seated in the second position below the head of the table had a grim face upon hearing her words.

"Li Chongbai, are you suggesting that allowing a trainee to be specifically responsible for Madam’s acupuncture treatnt has so underlying aning? Are you trying to play favorites on the Nan Family’s turf?"

The speaker was Gao Cheng, the deputy dean of Nan’s Hospital, who Zhuo Yuan had specifically requested to co over to collaborate with Li Chongbai in treating Duan Zhu.

Li Chongbai and Gao Cheng were also longti friends, and he knew that Gao Cheng detested those who used connections to climb the ladder; in his eyes, dical skills were the only fundant.

Li Chongbai steadied his emotions and explained, "Gao Cheng, don’t dismiss Yingying just because she is a trainee. She has been learning Traditional Chinese dicine since she was young and has dedicated herself to mastering acupuncture. In this regard, you can absolutely trust her."

"Among all of us here, including myself, all put together may not necessarily match her skill in acupuncture."

Gao Cheng glanced at Nan Yu, who was wearing a mask and not even daring to show her face, and no longer hid the disgust in his eyes.

"Ha, she’s your niece, and of course, you’d say anything good about her, but even saying that all of us combined don’t compare to her, can you even say such words without feeling ashad?"

"Li Chongbai, we are here to treat Madam, not to let your niece wade in muddy waters and seek a gold-plating opportunity!"

With that, he turned his gaze back to Li Chongbai.

"Previously, we’ve already made an exceptional case in agreeing to let your student Pei Yu join, and now you want us to agree to your niece’s inclusion as well? What do you think this place is?"

"I’m making myself clear today, I absolutely do not approve of your niece joining. Let her go back wherever she ca from!"
