Nan Yu clearly heard the words, her heart aching even more for Song Yingqing.

Like pacifying a child, she gently patted her on the back.

"It’s okay, it’s okay, that scoundrel isn’t here, you don’t have to be afraid."

She then humd a lullaby, helping her to fall into a peaceful sleep.

The next second, Song Yingqing’s brow slowly relaxed.

When Song Yingqing woke up again, the first thing she slled was the fragrant scent of porridge in the air; she instantly sat up, her eyes brightening.

She dashed out, seeing Nan Yu in the kitchen and was overwheld with excitent.

"Xiao Yu, did you make porridge for ?"

Nan Yu turned off the stove, looked back at the much more spirited Song Yingqing, and smiled relaxingly, "Co over here."

Song Yingqing imdiately ca to the dining table, watching as Nan Yu served the porridge in front of her.

She took a deep sniff, her expression one of bliss.

"Xiao Yu, the last ti I had your porridge was three years ago. Since then, I haven’t been able to stomach anyone else’s porridge and have always rembered yours!"

Nan Yu handed her the spoon, "Today, eat as much as you want."

Inhaling the aroma of the chicken, Song Yingqing couldn’t contain her excitent any longer and scooped a spoonful into her mouth.

The delicious flavor instantly spread from her mouth to her limbs and shot straight to her brain.

Her entire body was imrsed in this delightful scent.

Song Yingqing’s eyes widened, tears of excitent streaming down.

"How can it be this delicious? I feel like I’m the happiest person in the world right now!"

After saying this, she began to shove spoonfuls into her mouth eagerly.

Seeing her eat so eagerly, Nan Yu quickly said, "Eat slowly, there’s plenty more."

Song Yingqing ate three big bowls before putting her bowl down, leaned back and looked at Nan Yu, "If I weren’t afraid of getting fat, I really would want to eat more."

Nan Yu collected the bowls, "You shouldn’t eat too much at once. If you want more, I’ll make it for you when I have ti."

Song Yingqing nodded eagerly, "Xiao Yu, you really are the best!"

Nan Yu smiled gently.

Song Yingqing, watching her washing the dishes, propped her chin with her hands and couldn’t help but say, "I think Huo Juanyan really lucked out marrying you to the Huo Family!"

"He must have burned incense for eight lifetis to have you as his wife, and then he wants a divorce, he’s truly blind."

Upon hearing this, Nan Yu raised an eyebrow, turned to look at Song Yingqing, "Why bring him up? He and I were strangers from the start, it wasn’t even supposed to be marrying him, and actually, divorcing him was the best outco."

Song Yingqing felt that made sense, "That’s true."

After Nan Yu had tidied everything up, she sat in front of Song Yingqing, "I want to ask you, what happened that night?"

Upon hearing this question, Song Yingqing’s eyes dodged, and she spoke hesitantly.

"Nothing, really."

Nan Yu looked at her intently, "Really nothing?"

Song Yingqing swallowed, blinking as she said, "Really, he just ca to force to return to the Song Family, but I refused him."

Nan Yu saw through her lie and was about to press further.

Instantly, Song Yingqing grabbed her hand, "Xiao Yu, let’s drop it, I’m not going back to the Song Family anyway, and I will handle everything else, so you don’t have to worry about ."

Nan Yu realized she was speaking the truth and pursed her lips, "Okay then, just let know whenever you need my help."

Song Yingqing smiled and nodded, "Okay!"

Sothing suddenly occurred to Nan Yu, "Yingqing, the day after tomorrow night, I am going to a Traditional Chinese dicine Association banquet. Do you want to co with ?"
