Chapter 169: Cheng Yang Gone Missing
Qu Mingzhu said with an arrogant expression, “This is a banquet for the upper-classes. What right do you, a commoner, have to attend?”
Qu Mingzhu”s parents saw Wang Feiran standing behind Xiao Ying and had a solemn expression. Madam Qu pulled her back.
Qu Mingzhu was puzzled.
Wang Feiran sneered and said, “I wonder if I’m considered a commoner to you guys?”
Qu Mingzhu did not know who she was. She could not be bothered with Madam Qu’s obstruction and imdiately said, “Soone who spends ti with her is naturally a commoner.”
As she spoke, she even looked at Xiao Ying mockingly.
Wang Feiran said coldly, “You idiot!”
Qu Mingzhu’s face flushed red as she said angrily, “What right do you have to mock ?!”
Mr. Qu slapped her face and said, “Bastard, how dare you fool around in front of Miss Wang!”
Qu Mingzhu did not expect her father, who always doted on her, to not help her and even hit her.
Mr. Qu smiled apologetically at Wang Feiran. “Miss Wang, please don’t bear grudges. I apologize on behalf of this useless daughter.”
Wang Feiran’s expression remained cold as she said, “I’m not the one you should be apologizing to.”
Mr. Qu imdiately understood and said, “This must be Miss Xiao Ying. I’ll apologize to you on behalf of my daughter.”
Xiao Ying knew that this was all because of Wang Feiran. She nodded casually and did not pay much attention to them.
Mr. Qu’s expression was a little stiff as he signaled to Madam Qu to take Qu Mingzhu away.
The family of three left in a hurry. Although they were far away, they could still hear Qu Mingzhu’s clamoring.
After the banquet ended, Wang Feiran personally sent Xiao Ying ho.
The car slowly stopped. Just as Xiao Ying was about to get out of the car, Wang Feiran suddenly approached her.
Xiao Ying looked at the face inches from her and was a little puzzled. Wang Feiran removed a leaf from her head and showed it to her. “Who knows when it got there.”
Xiao Ying was also baffled, but she still smiled and nodded. After getting out of the car, she waved at her and left.
Wang Feiran sat in the car and rubbed her fingers that had just touched her. She lit a cigarette and took a deep drag. As the white fog dissipated, she chuckled lightly before starting the car and leaving.
When Xiao Ying returned ho, she saw Qiao Zihao sitting on the couch. She was shocked and asked, “Zihao, when did you wake up?”
With the teddy bear in his arms, Qiao Zihao said, “I woke up this afternoon and ca back by myself.”
Xiao Ying nodded and instructed, “Don’t run around by yourself in the future. Call when you wake up. I’ll pick you up.”
Qiao Zihao nodded obediently.
Xiao Ying had been thinking about Cheng Yang and could not be bothered with the amulet’s surveillance. She called Cheng Yang but no one picked up.
After not being able to find him for a few days, she could not help but run to Cheng Yang’s house. When she entered, she realized that sothing was wrong. It was as if the owner had not returned for a few days.
After he wasn’t found in the office either, Xiao Ying called Cheng Ya. Cheng Ya expressed that she had not seen Cheng Yang and asked worriedly what was wrong. Xiao Ying could only find an excuse to hide the truth.
After two more days, she still couldn’t find him. Xiao Ying was certain that Cheng Yang had gone missing.
The amulet had also fallen dormant due to insufficient energy. That day, when Qiao Zihao fell unconscious again, Xiao Ying sent him to the hospital and started to search for Cheng Yang. These recent incidents had made her very anxious.

Xiao Ying had arranged to et her at a cafe.

Xiao Ying could not explain the amulet to her. She could only say that she did not.
Cheng Ya didn’t believe her. “Have you discovered Cheng Yang’s secret?”
