Gunshot sounds echoed all over the residence, the sll of gunpowder in the air, but surprisingly, none of the disturbing sounds polluted the air far from the residence. The sound barriers around the elderly ho were responsible for it all.
Inside, Ross squashed the soldiers like bugs. If he didn’t break off their legs and hands, then he blew off their heads like they were so kind of toy.
He looked completely unrecognizable, the sll of blood covering the inside like so kind of natural perfu, red color covering the tiled floor like a new kind of paint.
Their numbers had dropped off significantly since the beginning, only six were left out of the terrifying fifteen soldiers that were initially in the ruthless operation.
In the victims’ eyes the only thing they caught on was a damning blue light. It getting near you ant certain death — an ironic thing to see in one’s last mont.
[RA LP]
Pow
He punched another soldier, pinpoint on the gut — this ti lower, as dusaa commanded — and with a clenched fist to go with it.
At impact, the force alone pushed through the stomach to forcefully create a fist-shaped hole on his back. The worn intestines flooded out like hungry snakes let out of a cage.
[LA UP]
He turned to the soldier on his left, then gave him a beating not even the commanders gave at the training camps.
A punch straight at his jaw, lifting him up like gravity never had effect on him anymore, then slamming him back to the floor near the terrified Brenda, who shook like she was going through a stroke.
Suddenly—
Still in his consciousness, Ross’s head started to spin, eyes attempting to close off. Maybe he was tired, but the frequent sleep he got said otherwise — this was completely sothing else.
Not only psychologically, externally his skin started developing burnt wounds, burning fresh like paper, a steam just like before with SATORI flowing from his body.
[ALERT! ALERT!]
A red notification ca, screaming like so kid running from danger — the exact sa kind that warned him earlier that his endurance wouldn’t handle the stress they were about to feel.
[HOST APPEARS TO BE BURNT UP]
dusaa recognized it as Ross froze up, the exact sa way he did when he woke up — but luckily he stood in a way that the enemies couldn’t have caught on early.
[ACTIVATING ERGENCY EXIT PROTOCOL]
Suddenly —
The ground started to shake alarmingly.
Guuu!!!!
Vibrating up and down nonstop.
Soldiers stopped shooting. They knew their fate was sealed. No matter how they tried, their bullets were ineffective.
The ground started to crack up, holes forming — larger, like waterways — and deep down without an ending.
Consecutively, parts of the ceiling started falling down, the bulbs erupting into smoke as darkness followed, only reduced by the afternoon light outside.
Its glass pieces scattered on the ground, and so unluckily fell on a soldier, drilling a hole on top of his head, then consecutively landing in his eye as he raised his head slightly up to see what caused him the sting of pain.
"It’s in my eyes! It’s in my eyes! Help !"
He scread as blood oozed out of his glassed eyes.
Pew!
Pew!
Brenda shot him rcilessly. The shaking seed to have finally woken her up from the daydream she was having.
The other three understood what she did. There was no ti to aid him because he was careless — a cosmic being stood in front of them.
"I have to find a way to escape... maybe bargain with him... no, it’s past that. And if I try to run, he might catch up — but the light in his feet is becoming dimr... but I can’t risk it!" she pondered, her head cool amidst the shaking.
She looked at the cracked ground and the space between. It never made the odds of her survival better. No matter how she put it, she was going to die here.
[COMNCING NUKE PROTOCOL]
[5,4,3,2,1]
Boom!
An explosion ca within the darkness, scattering sand all over the place, rising up like a nuclear weapon.
The force instantly crashed the structure into rubble, the window glass shattered into pieces, and the after-wind turned the vegetation around the structure upside down as if it never existed.
With it, an electrical interference that turned down all the lights all over the two cities surrounding Gulliver. The malls, the police departnts, even the Mutts’ residence — which was instantly compensated by the power generator connected to the house.
The elderly ho was no more in an instant.
....
Ten Hours Later
23:00 PM
The night sky was clear, the moon shining a crescent white light on the rubble that was once an elderly ho.
In these cases one would assu the police would be here, but sohow they were nowhere to be seen.
No dia, no neighbors, no person that was supposed to be present in these kinds of cases — but in its stead, a long yellow tape with police initials and a lot of black exwcutive cars on the residence.
A lot of people wearing black suits hovered all around the site. Their faces were sowhat visible from the moonlight. So took photos, so scanned the area with weird-looking machines like tal detectors but with a different sound and design.
A temporary black tent was on site, inside it the light from monitors glowed, occupied by a few people. It seed to have been the center of their operation.
All that transpired brought a very weird feeling — that the case was not ordinary.
"Are the values right?" a familiar voice said inside the tent as he pointed at a holographic screen that had countless numbers and a graph on it.
He was the man that told Ziba he was going to his child’s birthday party when they were in the Axis Industries skyscraper.
Unlike last ti, he seed more serious and concerned, but had on an awkward getup.
Believe it or not, he had on shorts and a sumr shirt like he was coming from the beach.
"Yes, sir, we cross-checked all of the cosmic scanners, and they all show the sa data!" a worker replied. On his ear he had an earpiece with a speaker extended to his mouth.
He shook his head, as if processing the information he was given.
"This is fucken hilarious!" he replied, the sound of a new car stopping outside echoing in the background.
The man turned his vision outside the tent, as if he expected whoever was arriving to co.
"Save all the data — they will want to see this!" he ordered the employee as he exited, gasping into the moonlight.
"Zabi!" the man said loudly like he had t an old-ti friend, gesturing his hands like he wanted to give him a hug.
"Roy," he replied coldly, passing right by him like he never existed.
"I don’t have ti for a hug. Brief on what happened here!"
He inquired, still wearing a waistcoat but this ti all black, golden beads on the bangles in his hair.
"Today at around 13:45 this exploded, causing a blackout around three neighboring cities. We were only able to uncover four corpses of our soldiers that weren’t completely disfigured — and not any other stranger. No cara footage, just so weird energy we picked up with the devices we created for the governnt to hunt alien activities!"
Zabi froze in shock for a millisecond, then speedily corrected himself.
"Did they have any operation today?"
He inquired.
Roy stayed quiet, his tongue jumping like he didn’t want to say what he was about to say.
"Yes."
He replied, peaking the interest of Zabi.
"Earlier they reported a eting with soone."
"Who?"
"Ahm... I don’t even believe it myself... but Ross Mutt. Son of Elod Mutt."
