Music Rec: Dusk Till Dawn By Zayn ft Sia.
Ethan exhaled slowly, trying to regain control over his emotions. He spared a glance at the tablet in Raymond’s hand before looking back at his face.
"Has it...been released?" he asked, a grim smile plastered on his face. Raymond could tell he was trying very hard not to lose his temper.
"It has been released but..."
"But what?" Ethan didn’t know what to feel. Should he be angry and alienate her from him again, when he just found out she was the cure to his nightmares? Or should he just allow her insult his sister through her articles?
"But it isn’t what we expect. She’s probably going to experience backlash for this," Raymond stepped forward and placed the tablet directly in front of Ethan, on his desk so he could read the article by himself.
The latter picked it up and read the headline of the article, his brows furrowing in confusion at the strange words he read.
Within a minute, he was on his feet and wearing his coat.
"Ruth and Enoch can et us at ho later. You’ll be coming with to Preston TV, Raymond."
Raymond gave a curt nod at the order, not having it in mind to disobey. If it was so months ago, he would have tried all he could to deter Ethan from going to Preston, but now, he was thankful he didn’t have to ask before Ethan ordered it.

Shikera was in front of her laptop, just like the rest of them in her team, typing furiously away as she replied to various posts and tweets on her article. As expected, the article she wrote had shook the whole nation just as MD’s scandal four years ago.
Her phone rang, distracting her as she moved her hand to hang up on the call. However, the caller ID was one that surprised her so she picked the call instead.
"Ethan?" She whispered, her tone reflecting her surprise. She didn’t think Ethan had ever called her since she married him. They texted themselves instead.
"Co down to the garage," ca the voice from the other side of the line.
"Why, uhm...I’m actually busy now so..."
"Then take your ti."
The call disconnected and Shikera dropped her phone, getting back to work while wondering why Ethan had asked her to co down to the garage.
"Anderson, don’t give replies for the anti. All of you should co over to the conference room," Their team leader’s voice resounded in her ears, as she stood up to heed her call.
Shikera joined Cyprian as they continued on their way to the conference room, with the others trailing after them. They t their CEO there, which didn’t surprise them one bit considering the fact that they just released an article which had affected the whole company. They took their respective seats, and waited for their team leader to do the sa.
"Welco back to work, Shikera," Andrew smiled, relieved inwardly that the incident hadn’t made her transfer to another station. He couldn’t bear to let her go now, both for professional reasons and for personal reasons.
"Thanks, Mr Lane!" Her cheery tone appreciated him.
"Before we start the eting regarding the article, I will take it that your team leader has inford you that you have a two weeks paid leave," he continued, when he saw her nod her head in the affirmative. "Also, you’re on the list of reporters that will be considered to take the anchors and announcers exam."
"OMG! I’m going to skip three ranks?" Shikera exclaid in surprise, as her team leader had not inford her about this one.
"That’s right. It’s our way of apologizing for the accident that happened as a result of our unprofessionalism," Andrew confird. He signaled to Team leader Zuresh to take over the eting and the woman obliged,
"Reporter Anderson’s article has received positive reviews from most mbers of the public, which also ans it has received critics from fewer mbers of the public. This eting was called so as to gather your opinions on how we are to manage the criticisms."
Cyprian and Shikera shared a knowing look, as they had thought of this before publishing the artic le, but had found no easy solution to the problem, except finding a family mber of the idol to back them up in their claims.
"What if we just leave them be? The only solution to the problem at hand will be to get one of MD’s family or friend or at least get her na..." Cyprian suggested, receiving positive hums from the others in the room.
"And it seems we can’t get that, right?" Team leader Zuresh asked.
"Except we visit her forr agency or a friend of hers," Shikera chipped in.
The eting continued until late in the afternoon, where the reporters were given a break. Rembering that Ethan had asked her to co to the garage, she dialed his number.
"Did you want to et soone in the garage? I’m free now," She asked, as soon as the call connected.
"I will be waiting," was the simple sentence she heard before the call was disconnected again.
Sighing, she proceeded to send him a ssage. "You will be waiting? What are you doing here?!"
Getting no reply even after he read the ssage, she went down to the garage without wasting ti and looked around, imdiately noticing one of Ethan’s car parked directly beside hers. She walked to the car but before she could knock on the glass window to inform them of her arrival, the back door opened.
Entering, she was surprised to see Ethan and Raymond in the car, with both of them wearing solemn looks. Her thoughts were quick to go awry as she hurriedly asked,
"What’s wrong? Did sothing happen to my father?" She didn’t know of anything else that could make Ethan DeLoach co to a reporters hub when he hated them that much.
"Nothing happened to him," Ethan replied, staring straight into her brown eyes which were widened in confusion now.
"Then why are you here? Did I do sothing wrong?" She asked again.
"No, you didn’t. I just thought you might want to hear a review on the article you published today."
Shikera’s expression changed as soon as she processed his words. She could rember vividly what happened the last ti she wanted to watch a news presentation on MD, and she didn’t want a reoccurrence of that.
"It’s alright, I don’t need reviews..."
"What if the review reveals that MD’s real na is Mignon DeLoach?"
Shikera’s hand which she had placed on the car’s handle, retracted itself at Ethan’s words.
