"She’s working on what?" He questioned. From his expression, one would know that he could not understand the report Raymond gave him.
"Is she a detective or an investigative reporter that she’s working on a murder case?" He continued. As a result of hating reporters, nothing interested him about them so his knowledge on their work and what it entailed, was limited. Who knew he would still have to worry about his wife?
"She is none, Sir. I think this is just the normal way Preston TV reporters, do their work," Raymond replied him.
The door was pushed open from outside, making Ethan and Raymond turn to look in it’s direction. Ethan’s doctor walked in, a curious twinkle in his eyes while his soiled clothes contrasted his neat face.
As he neared Ethan, the latter put his hands out, stopping him from taking any steps forward.
"What are you wearing?" He questioned, eyebrows raised at how his germophobic doctor was dressed in stained clothes.
"None of your business, Ethan," Doctor Kyle deadpanned. "I travelled after I left your place on Sunday, so I missed the ssage you sent on Monday."
"That’s true, I wanted to tell you that I had a nightmare free night, if there’s anything like that," Ethan inford.
Kyle’s eyes widened as he walked forward, disregarding the hand Ethan put forward to stop him.
"Are you serious?! According to the test I ran on you, it’s not supposed to be possible unless...you found the cure?!"
Slowly, Ethan shook his head while trying to rember if he took any kind of dicine on the day Shikera was sick. It was that night he slept without having any nightmares, and he was very sure he did not even eat that day, due to taking care of Shikera until late in the night.
"You did, Ethan! You just have to think well and rember what it was that happened last four years, and repeated itself that day," Kyle pressed, staring earnestly into Ethan’s eyes while waiting for him to rember. Who knew if he would be able to recomnd this sa cure to other patients of his who had chronic nightmare disorder?
But he was bound to be disappointed as Ethan only shook his head, giving up on trying to recall a mory that didn’t exist in the first place.
"I don’t think there’s a kind of special treatnt for it. I just need to brace myself up for whatever will co up in the future and then prepare to tackle it."
"Alright then," Kyle nodded, standing up straight. "Just call when you rember anything. And keep it in mind that it’s very important that you cure this, Ethan, if you don’t want to disappoint those depending on you..." He walked towards the door before stopping dead in his tracks, turning back to face Ethan.
"Especially your wife," he concluded, walking out of the door.
"Uhm— Sir, I think there’s sothing you did which you haven’t done for the past four years," Raymond spoke up.
"What’s that?"
"You took care of a sick person by yourself. You only did that to Miss DeLoach four years ago and it was around that ti that the nightmares stopped..." Ethan cut him off before he could complete his sentence.
"Which ans that I won’t have nightmares if I continue taking care of sick people?" He asked, in a tone reflecting his disbelief.
"That’s just what I’m thinking,"
"Thinking? Do I look like a doctor?" he asked rhetorically. He continued, "Seems like you are tired of working here, do we change our working environnt and start working in the hospital from now on, Advisor Raymond?"
"No Sir!"
"Then call Ruth and ask her how things are going on her side," he instructed.

Ethan stood on the porch overlooking the field of flowers in front of the mansion, while waiting for Shikera to arrive. On previous days, she had always arrived ho almost the sa ti he did, except the day she got drunk but today, she was not yet ho even though he had arrived for almost three hours now.
"Still waiting for her?"
He heard a voice, and he turned to see his father approaching him.
"She has never been this late,"
"I know that. But she is a reporter and they can stay up for as many hours as possible, as long as they will get sothing worthy of reporting," Chris whispered. He had noticed his son staring at the door since he ca back and even while they were having dinner, he kept casting glances at the door. Now that they were done, he ca outside and was now staring at the distance.
"Why...Why did Chairman Anderson not stop her from following the sa path her mother did?" Ethan asked. "If it was this stressful and required her staying up late, why did he let her continue even if he knew how harmful it would be to her health?"
"If you knew Mignon would die, wouldn’t you have supported her choice of career irrespective of how dangerous it would be for her? Two months are almost gone and you will have ten months left, just hang in until then," Chris encouraged, knowing his son was finding it hard to take care of soone whom he was supposed to hate.
"Also, you don’t have to stay up waiting for her. It was not in the contract," With that, the older man walked back into the house.
No sooner had Chris’s back disappeared into the house, did Ethan hear the sound of a car driving into the compound. The security guard would not allow anyone into the premises except the person was an imdiate mber of The DeLoach family so he knew the person who ca in could only be Shikera.
He waited until he heard the car door slamming close, before he turned and entered the house.
For a week, this process of Ethan staying on the porch until Shikera ca back, and then leaving before she could see him, continued. Even though he was extrely annoyed at the fact that she had to stay up late for a job as lousy as hers, he still waited for her at the porch every night.

"Why don’t we have a drink at LK before leaving for ho?" Erica suggested, as they wrapped up things in the conference room while preparing to leave for ho.
That was their usual routine, going out during the day to search for clues; returning to Preston TV Station to report to their Team leader and assemble their clues, before going ho afterwards.
Though the next day was a weekend, they were expected to co to work, albeit late as they had to report the news update on Baron Cohen’s killer, before his uncle was sentenced in the Court.
The week had been very hectic and exhausting for them in their departnt and that was the reason Erica thought Shikera and Cyprian would agree to going to LK Bar.
Cyprian threw a glance at Shikera who stayed silent as she was still working, before saying,
"We can’t, Miss Jordan. I have to get ho early and Kera’s coming with ."
Just then, Shikera looked up as she closed her laptop. She stood up from her seat.
"I also don’t think that LK Bar is authorized to operate. To think that they don’t have CCTVs," she stated.
"You wanted to check their CCTV?" Cyprian asked, oblivious to why Shikera had even gone back there.
"Yes, I did. I had to check what kind of wine I bought at their counter that made fall sick but they didn’t have one," she inford. "The bartender also couldn’t rember what I bought when it was just a few night ago. How unprofessional?!"
Shikera’s words elicited a flurry of reactions from Erica and Jaden as they shared knowing glances, their hands simultaneously sneaking into their pockets to remove their phones.
"Start now!" Erica typed, her hands dancing in quick succession along the screen of her phone. "Liam Anderson is out of the country!"
