"Co again," Mignon requested, having failed to understand what Shikera just said. She raised her legs and climbed onto the bike to sit in front of Shikera.
"There’s no way I will get into the city and he won’t notice. The fact that he’s not here yet is simply a miracle to . Or maybe he just forgot about ," Shikera replied nonchalantly. She continued, "But even if he forgot about , my dad might also be searching for so visiting my doctor is a no no for now."
By this ti, the bike had moved onto the road but instead of Mignon riding back ho, she rode instead to one of the hidden spots where she had shown Shikera the previous day.
"So, you think keeping your baby in danger is worse than your parents finding out about you? I understand though; as much as I always want to find out if I really do have a baby and family beyond the island, I’m always scared cause it seems like I have really tough enemies out there. I think my family would look for too if they really miss ," Mignon’s usually firm voice was shaky as she spoke.
Shikera felt guilty for not being able to say anything to comfort Mignon. She wondered if later on, when Mignon found out that Shikera recognized her at first sight, if she would forgive her. She knew she was being selfish but then... Shaking her head as if to discard all thoughts from her mind, she tightened her arms around Mignon.
"Leah, what if we are actually related? Not by blood but just uhm, like we were acquainted in the past?" she asked gently.
"Did you lose your mory too? If not, stop asking stupid questions," Mignon deadpanned.
Their ride was silent until they got to their destination. Instead of a waterfall lake, this one was just a large flower field that seed to have no end in sight. Mignon led Shikera down a path in the middle of the flower field to a shed which she built by herself in the center.
When the two had settled on a bench under the shed, with Mignon fussing over Shikera like the dirt on the bench was enough to affect the baby, they continued their conversation from earlier.
"I have an idea," Mignon began, her eyes sparkling as she knew there was no plan more perfect than this.
"Really?! One that doesn’t require to visit the hospital by myself?" Shikera asked, the excitent in Mignon’s eyes reflecting in hers.
"Yeah! Let’s do this, how about you give the address of the hospital where your doctor works and I’ll go myself. Just give her evidence that you asked for it and then she’ll give ."
Shikera’s eyes widened in shock. What plan was more worse than this? If Mignon DeLoach went to the city and did not lie low but instead went to one of the biggest hospitals in search of a top mber of the ga families... Shikera held her head in her hands, already feeling a dull ache at the thought of what would happen.
"What’s wrong, Kera? Are you alright?" Mignon’s went hyper alert when she saw Shikera holding her head. "Are you having an headache?"
"Yes," Shikera admitted, "Because of this awful idea you call perfect. Leah, I am not joking if I say the whole country is probably upturned from searching for right now. My doctor will inform my father if anything happens with my na included. And you? You can’t go to the city, you especially."
Mignon frowned, "And why can I not go to the city? Wait Kera, is this your way of calling an island bum?"

"Did she co here last night?" Raymond asked, his voice low and without spirit, and his question directed at Ruthlyn.
The latter looked up from her cup of coffee, her brows raised in confusion.
"You talking to ?" she asked.
Raymond gave a simple nod, too exhausted to open his mouth and reply.
"Did who co here last...oh! Cyprian? She didn’t co here. Why are you asking though? Aren’t you supposed to know? Hold on, did you guys fight? What happened? Did you cheat on her?" She sent out a barrage of questions, that even Hazel who was walking down the stairs was not sure if it was really Ruthlyn who was talking. The Ruthlyn she rembered only said the bare minimum of words that was needed and would not say more than that. But here she was being this curious.
"It’s none of your business," Raymond replied coldly.
Hazel paused her steps on the stairs when she heard that. Ruthlyn was being overly chatty while Raymond was being underly chatty, if there was anything like that. Did the twins exchange personalities overnight?
"What do you an it’s none of my business? It is just so obvious that you are the one who offended her—"
Raymond’s outburst ca, causing Ruthlyn to keep quiet,
"And so?! How the hell was I expected to know I did sothing that bad if she didn’t tell shit about it?! Am I that untrustworthy to her that she did not think of telling anything?! I was here, Ruth, here! And she kept it all to herself...can you imagine?"
"Ray? What happened wasn’t trivial?" Ruthlyn asked, dropping the cup of coffee to walk over to her brother.
His hands were balled tightly into fists and a frown on his face, as he stood at the entrance to the kitchen.
"It’s alright, Ruth. We agreed to work all through today, right? Let’s just go with the plan, you and Enoch visit Lady Preston while I will go alone to visit Team leader Zuresh," he stated, walking back to his room.
Ruthlyn stood transfixed to one spot as she stared at Raymond’s back, and that was where Enoch t her when he ca down.
"Dad found a tutor for Esther," he announced.
