Chapter 1928: Chapter 2025: Demon Tree Wreaks Havoc in the Seven Seas

In the deep and dark depths of the ocean, a sinister demon tree is continuously growing, already as imposing as a mountain, turning the seas within tens of thousands of miles into a realm of deathly silence. All sea beasts, regardless of their strength, have had their vitality drained, and countless corpses are densely floating on the surface.

The demon tree extends nurous pitch-black vines, ensnaring any sea beasts attempting to flee, leaving them with little resistance, quickly becoming shriveled corpses.

All the sea beasts of the Seven Seas are plunged into panic, while a catastrophe is underway. Although the three sects have already sensed this, none dare to venture into the sea to investigate what exactly is happening.

Only Qi Liansheng, who is also hidden beneath the Seven Seas, has witnessed the chaos wreaked by the demon tree, seeing countless sea beasts perish horrifically in an instant.

This series of scenes had a massive impact on Qi Liansheng, forcing him to imdiately flee the area where the demon tree appeared, escaping thousands of miles away.

anwhile, the demon tree continues its advance into the heart of the Seven Seas, wherever it goes, the surface is inevitably littered with nurous sea beast corpses, and even the creatures on so islands are not spared.

Soon, people from the three sects were affected, finally stirring collective panic among the sects.

“It’s the ancient magic tree! The ancient magic tree has returned!”

“Wasn’t it defeated by the Great Sage Equal to Heaven? How could it still be alive?”

“Heavens! Our three sects are likely to fall to this calamity.”

“Alas! We should not have awakened this demon tree in the first place!”

“What a pity for our Taoist Sect’s brilliant Alchemy Tao genius.”

“If this demon tree continues its rampage, who knows how many lives from our three sects will be lost.”

····

The entire three sects were in a state of panic, while the higher-ups of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism imdiately gathered for a discussion, gritting their teeth as they assembled a group of experts to destroy the ancient magic tree.

The result was disastrous, as the first group of experts sent were all killed, including two or three Long-lived Ones, and none returned. Instead, they provided vitality to the demon tree, making it even more powerful.

With this outco, the three sects dared not send more people to deal with the demon tree, knowing that even an Immortal might not be able to kill it, and might even end up killed by the tree.

With no effective counterasure, the three sects could only contract, continuously moving people deeper into the heartland of the sects.

This, however, was rely a delaying tactic, for no matter how they fled, the demon tree would eventually invade the heartland. By then, where could the people of the three sects flee to? Could they flee to the land of the Nine Countries? It was likely the tree would catch up before they even reached anywhere.

Moreover, everyone in the three sects knew the land of the Nine Countries was in chaos, plagued by a terrifying demon beast, and had recently been the battleground of a cataclysmic battle. At this ti, how could the people of the three sects dare to venture there? Presumably, they wouldn’t return alive.

The higher-ups of the three sects were troubled, knowing if the ancient magic tree reached their heartland, their only option besides fighting to the death would be retreat.

The Seven Seas are known as the Seven Seas precisely because they consist of seven seas, with the three sects each occupying three sea territories, leaving only the Chaotic Sea Area unexplored by any sect, shrouded in mystery.

The Chaotic Sea Area might beco the last refuge for the three sects, but with so many people, if they all rushed in at once, it would likely be very crowded, leading to inevitable territory and resource conflicts. By then, the three sects might destroy themselves with infighting before being annihilated by the demon tree.

Though the Chaotic Sea Area serves as a potential escape route, it is a asure of last resort, and none from the three sects would willingly choose such a haunted place.

Of course, the best solution would be to eliminate the ancient magic tree, eliminating the need to flee everywhere.

····

High above in the sky, three figures stood side by side, observing the sea surface below with solemn expressions. The sight of the countless sea beast corpses made their scalps tingle with fear, even these three, who were accustod to grand spectacles, felt a twinge of dread.

These three were naturally the Sky Tower Sword Master along with two others, sent by Mo Shouhe to find the whereabouts of Qi Liansheng. However, they stumbled upon the havoc caused by the ancient magic tree, which also impacted their task.

The Sky Tower Sword Master’s black hair fluttered, and her beautiful face bore an obvious gloomy expression, as did the other two, clearly worried about the demon tree situation.

“Still unable to contact Mo Martial Master?” the Sky Tower Sword Master asked.

The Black White Taoist Sage shook his head, “It’s been several days now, and there hasn’t been a single ssage from Qin Capital.”

“What about Liao Can Sheng?” The Sky Tower Sword Master’s brows knitted, showing so irritation.

They were painstakingly searching for Qi Liansheng, yet couldn’t reach Mo Shouhe, and now the inexplicable appearance of the ancient magic tree in the Seven Seas. What did this an? Should they even continue searching for Qi Liansheng?

“We can reach Liao Can Sheng, but he also doesn’t know Mo Martial Master’s whereabouts,” Black White Taoist Sage replied.

“Amitabha, since Mo Martial Master is temporarily unavailable, we should refrain from acting rashly,” the Golden Tripod Buddha Emperor said with palms together.

The Sky Tower Sword Master glared at the Golden Tripod Buddha Emperor and huffed, “Refrain from acting rashly? Does this an we simply watch as so many people from the three sects get drained by the ancient magic tree? Imagine how powerful the ancient magic tree would beco, you can surely figure that out.”

“The poor monk understands, but without Mo Martial Master’s orders, it’s unwise for us to ddle in other affairs,” the Golden Tripod Buddha Emperor replied coldly.

“Heh, you founded the Buddhist Sect. Can you stand by as the monks, whom you regard as disciples, are slaughtered by the ancient magic tree?” the Sky Tower Sword Master mocked.

The Golden Tripod Buddha Emperor remained expressionless, “What if they die? For those of our level, disciples are unnecessary.”

“Hmph, such false compassion from a monk. If your Buddhist disciples heard this, they would be greatly disappointed,” the Sky Tower Sword Master sneered but had no interest in continuing a futile conversation, casting her gaze toward the Black White Taoist Sage.

The latter understood the Sky Tower Sword Master was seeking his opinion, and mused, “The ancient magic tree could be related to Mo Martial Master. We three shouldn’t intervene, but to prevent further deaths among the three sects, they must retreat to the Chaotic Sea Area. We can then set up an array to keep the ancient magic tree out.”

“This compromise is acceptable, the poor monk agrees,” the Golden Tripod Buddha Emperor imdiately concurred.
