Are the people of the future supposed to be guided by the people of the future?
The aning of this phrase is very straightforward, it informs Fang Lin that to return to the future, he must rely on soone from the future to help him go back.
However, Fang Lin was still very surprised. He was able to co to this era because his mother Bai Qingxue forcibly opened the peculiar space created by Mo Shouhe and relied on the formidable dicinal power of a Grade Nine Pill to preserve his body, enabling him to pass through the end of ti to arrive in this era.
If he wanted to go back, where should he start? Could it be that he does nothing and just waits for soone from the future to co and take him back? That would be too frivolous.
"Is the elder referring to people who, like , have co from the future and are now in this era?" Fang Lin suddenly asked.
"The ti is not yet ripe; even I cannot see more," Xuanyuan Ya replied.
Fang Lin felt a bit helpless, but since it was said that the ti was not yet right, he realized that no matter how much he pondered, he couldn’t co up with any conclusions at this mont.
"Then could the elder tell how many incarnations the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu has?" Fang Lin asked. This was also an aspect he wasn’t aware of, and it was extrely important information that needed to be clarified as much as possible.
Xuanyuan Ya said: "The Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu has four incarnations. You already know Mo Shouhe and the First Demon Saint, but the other two Ancient Spirit Incarnations are extrely secretive and are even more mysterious compared to Mo Shouhe and the First Demon Saint."
"Four?" Fang Lin was shocked. Besides Mo Shouhe and the First Demon Saint, there are actually two more incarnations of the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu. This was sowhat beyond Fang Lin’s expectations. If those more mysterious itions had power like Mo Shouhe’s, it would be utterly despairing.
As if perceiving Fang Lin’s thoughts, Xuanyuan Ya’s voice sounded again: "There’s no need to worry too much. The Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu has existed for an unimaginably long ti. Even if it were the first being born within Mountain Tu, by now it would be close to withering. It can only divide into these four incarnations to temporarily extend its life. However, before finding a way to prolong life, the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu would not let all four incarnations appear simultaneously."
Hearing this, Fang Lin felt sowhat relieved. What he feared was the possibility of all the Ancient Spirit incarnations erging at once, which would truly be an impending apocalypse.
At least until the Life and Death Reincarnation Pill begins its creation, the four Ancient Spirit incarnations will not appear simultaneously, and at most, only Mo Shouhe poses a threat.
"Does the elder know where the First Demon Saint resides?" Fang Lin asked again.
Xuanyuan Ya replied: "If I am not mistaken, because the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu is about to perish, the First Demon Saint, as an incarnation of the Ancient Spirit, is also nearing its limit and cannot exist in the world in its true form. It may be attached to the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree, surviving through the power of the Sacred Tree."
"What?" Fang Lin was shocked upon hearing this, finding it difficult to comprehend at once.
Could it really be possible that the First Demon Saint is attached to the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree? This speculation by Xuanyuan Ya was truly startling.
"Why does the elder think this?" Fang Lin quickly asked, wanting to know more, his expression quite solemn.
Xuanyuan Ya said: "This brings us to the origins of the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree. Mountain Tu is the Eternal Divine Mountain, the origin of all things, and the Demon Beast race naturally also cos from Mountain Tu. The Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree is the foundation of the Demon Beast race, clearly holding a great connection to Mountain Tu. Since the First Demon Saint is an incarnation of the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu, the most likely place for its existence is within the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree."
"Could the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree be a ans deliberately arranged by the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu within the Demon Beast race?" Fang Lin wondered aloud.
Xuanyuan Ya’s voice sounded weaker, yet he still explained to Fang Lin: "Not so. The Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu, in the final analysis, was rely the first being born on Mountain Tu and received the most potent power of Mountain Tu. The Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree, although born after the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu, exists at the sa level in essence. Even the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu cannot affect the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree and at most could only attach to it."
"So that’s the case. The Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree has such origins," Fang Lin nodded, silently musing within.
Even the Demon Beast race doesn’t know the origins of the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree. But today, Fang Lin finally learned from Xuanyuan Ya’s words. Who would’ve thought that the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree shares the sa tier as the Ancient Spirit of Mountain Tu, both born atop Mountain Tu—truly making them among the oldest beings in the world.
"But wait, when I reshaped my body, I also entered the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree. If the First Demon Saint was still attached to the Sacred Tree then, wouldn’t I have already died?" Fang Lin furrowed his brow, finding it hard to grasp the crux of the matter.
"There is much about the future I cannot see, and I can offer you no enlightennt. Moreover, after today’s conversation with you, I shall truly vanish from the world, leaving no trace behind. How your journey unfolds depends entirely on you," Xuanyuan Ya said, with a carefree tone.
"I shall not fail the great aspirations of the elder for all living beings," Fang Lin sincerely replied.
Xuanyuan Ya smiled, his laughter growing faint, an evident sign that the remaining fragnt of his consciousness was about to fade away.
"I, Xuanyuan Ya, am the last remnant of the Ancient Wilderness era. With my old comrades long gone, I am free of attachnts, regarding life and death lightly. However, you are different. The burden on your shoulders is great, deeply intertwined with the past and present—all will entangle you," Xuanyuan Ya spoke, his voice ethereal and illusory.
Upon hearing this, Fang Lin’s expression changed. "Why does the elder say this?" he asked.
Xuanyuan Ya laughed: "It is just a sentint. You are ultimately different from ."
After a pause, Xuanyuan Ya continued: "In truth, every person and every being is unique, each one of a kind. No one person is above another, nor is there distinction of high and low, noble or base. Yet this truth is sothing the world may not comprehend for many years."
Fang Lin responded silently. The concept of high and low, noble and base, is deeply rooted both in Fang Lin’s current era and the future era of the Nine Countries Seven Seas. Few believe that all beings should be equal.
But in truth, as Mountain Tu birthed all the spirits of heaven and earth, every being is equal, and there is no such thing as lowly or noble.
"The elder’s wisdom will eventually be understood by the future generations," Fang Lin said.
Xuanyuan Ya laughed heartily. Fang Lin seed to perceive the ghostly image of an elder in white appear before him, which then faded away.
"Mountain Tu is not unfeeling; it is the people of the world who are often unfeeling."
This was the last phrase Fang Lin heard from Xuanyuan Ya. After these words, silence enveloped the surroundings, and Fang Lin knew that the lingering thought of Xuanyuan Ya had ceased to exist.
PS: First update, I left early in the morning today to discuss so matters. Updates will be sporadic, as I’ll be staying at soone else’s house for the next few days.
