Chapter 1369: Chapter 1467: Little Monk Chapter 1369: Chapter 1467: Little Monk After talking with Zhong Wuwei, Fang Lin felt considerably heavy-hearted.

Although he did not entirely believe what Zhong Wuwei had said, according to Fang Lin’s own past conjectures, what Zhong Wuwei ntioned about the Pill Alliance possibly being corrupt could indeed be the case.

As a Pill Refiner, Fang Lin was sincerely infuriated. How could a grand assembly of Pill Refiners co together only to deviate from following the path of Alchemy Tao and veer onto a crooked abnormal path instead?

“Once I get out of here, I must thoroughly uncover the secrets of the Pill Alliance. If it’s really as Zhong Wuwei described, then I don’t want to stay in the Pill Alliance anymore,” Fang Lin muttered to himself.

“Whatever you do, lad, I’ll be gone by then anyway. If you get hunted for leaving the Pill Alliance, don’t bla ,” the Old Dried Corpse said.

Fang Lin replied, “Just as you said, if it ever cos to that, I’ll just hide in the Ancient Demon Ridge. Let’s see who dares to confront there.”

“That’s the spirit! Being flexible is what makes a hero. If you cultivate there for a hundred or two hundred years, who will be your match when you co out? You’ll be walking sideways if you like,” the Old Dried Corpse laughed.

Fang Lin composed himself, montarily putting aside the matters of the Pill Alliance and began exploring the area.

Having wandered many places, Fang Lin realized this place was abundant in dicinal herbs, many rare herbs not found outside were plentiful here and well-aged.

Thus, Fang Lin frequently paused to gather so herbs that particularly interested him.

However, after arriving here, aside from encountering Zhong Wuwei, he hadn’t t another outsider, which made Fang Lin wonder if it was just he and Zhong Wuwei who were the foreigners in this place.

Fang Lin slightly regretted not having asked Zhong Wuwei if he had seen the thousand-year-old Corpse Ginseng. If the Corpse Ginseng also existed in this place, it would have saved Fang Lin a lot of trouble.

“Hmm?” As Fang Lin approached a valley, without even entering, he saw a golden Buddha Light shining upward within.

Fang Lin’s eyebrows furrowed imdiately. Seeing this Buddha Light ant that there were mbers of the Buddhist Sect here.

“Damn it, why are people from the three sect everywhere,” Fang Lin cursed, having no fondness for the three sect.

“Fellow visitor, since you’ve arrived, why not co in and talk,” a very young voice ca from the valley, calm and even, carrying so extraordinary charisma.

Fang Lin’s expression shifted slightly, the speaker’s voice was no ordinary one, vaguely exerting so pressure, as if to unnerve Fang Lin.

Unfortunately, Fang Lin was never the type to be intimidated. Being extrely bold, he scoffed and walked directly into the valley.

Entering, he saw many rare and exotic herbs, rarely seen outside.

Further ahead, there were sunflowers growing.

Fang Lin paused, confused. How were there sunflowers here? There was no sun, so how did they grow?

“Fellow visitor, this monk greets you respectfully.” Amidst the sunflowers, a small, frail-looking young monk stepped forward.

Fang Lin squinted, assessing the bald young monk who seed even younger than himself.

Yet Fang Lin wouldn’t take him lightly due to his young appearance, for who could tell that Fang Lin himself had lived through two lifetis?

“Bold for a person of the Buddhist Sect to show themselves before ,” Fang Lin said indifferently, continuing to walk towards the young monk.

This monk was not particularly handso, just an ordinary face, but he did have distinctive features like large earlobes and thick lips, seen by many ordinary folk as a sign of a blessed person.

Fang Lin also noticed that there were no shaving scars on the monk’s head.

While he hadn’t had extensive contact with the three sect, Fang Lin knew that Buddhist Sect people generally had shaved scars on their heads, but this young monk’s head was bare, quite uncommon in the Buddhist Sect.

“Please don’t misunderstand, I an no harm. I just want to inquire about two people from you,” the young monk said with hands clasped, his expression serious and earnest, showing no hostility towards Fang Lin.

Hearing this, Fang Lin almost guessed who the young monk was looking for. He said nonchalantly, “Who are you looking for?”

The young monk replied, “I have two companions, a man and a woman, heirs of the Taoist Sect and Confucian Sect, respectively. One nad Qin Guanyue, the other nad Yin Wuyan. I wonder if you might have seen them? If you know anything, I would be grateful for your help in finding them.”

Fang Lin knew it; this young monk was probably related to Qin Guanyue and Yin Wuyan. He might be the heir of the Buddhist Sect.

Fang Lin’s eyes flickered, then said, “You’ve asked the right person, I do know their whereabouts.”

The young monk’s eyes brightened imdiately, urgently asking, “Then I hope you can tell . I would be deeply grateful.”

Fang Lin wore a look of pity, “Those two, they were killed by a skilled swordsman. Especially that Yin Wuyan, his head was chopped off and carried in soone’s hand.”

The monk seed struck by lightning upon hearing this, staring blankly, his eyes wide.

Fang Lin held back a laugh, continuing to say, “That swordsman seed to be so Holy Palace heir, trying to seize sothing. The people you ntioned didn’t agree, of course, and fought back, but unfortunately, it ended badly, the swordsman was too powerful.”

The monk gaped for a long ti, his eyes reddening as he shook his head repeatedly, “That can’t be, that can’t be right. How could they die?”

Seeing that the young monk believed him, Fang Lin inwardly rejoiced, thinking him quite naive. He had rely spun a web of lies, yet the young monk believed it.

“Fellow visitor, did they truly get killed?” the monk, not entirely foolish, asked again for confirmation.

Fang Lin nodded repeatedly, “Yes, they’re dead. Why would I lie to you?”

The monk collapsed to the ground, wailing miserably, crying and howling though Fang Lin couldn’t make out exactly what.

Fang Lin curled his lips and, ignoring the silly monk, turned and walked out of the valley.

Just as he was leaving the valley, soone approached him.

“Outsider, since you’ve co to my territory, leave your life behind.” An elder approached, hunchbacked and shaky with each step, leaning on a walking stick, looking almost at death’s door.

ps: Fourth update, back ho. If the neighborhood’s network isn’t restored, I might have to head to the internet café again tomorrow…
