Chapter 1290: Chapter 1389: A Fleeting Opportunity Chapter 1290: Chapter 1389: A Fleeting Opportunity Fang Lin, upon hearing this, tentatively asked, “Are you looking for a bow?”

Upon hearing this, Yin Wuyan’s eyes showed a flash of surprise. Though it was fleeting, Fang Lin, with his sharp perception, caught it in an instant.

“Sure enough, you’re here for the sa reason as Hidden Kill Hall, also searching for a bow.” Fang Lin murmured to himself internally.

“Hmph, you need not guess wildly, I won’t tell you,” Yin Wuyan scoffed.

Fang Lin glanced around and said with a smile, “Judging by your appearance, are you trapped here? Do you not know how to get out?”

Yin Wuyan too looked at Fang Lin with disdain, “Aren’t you the sa?”

Fang Lin smiled, “I am not the sa as you. I’ve just arrived here, whereas you’ve been here much sooner. Others have already gone elsewhere, but you’re still trapped here. If there really was sothing to find, I guess it’s already fallen into soone else’s hands.”

At these words, a look of frustration indeed flashed across Yin Wuyan’s face.

Just as Fang Lin said, Yin Wuyan was trapped here, unable to find a way out no matter how hard she searched. When Fang Lin arrived, she was pondering how to leave this place.

Fang Lin looked at Yin Wuyan and remarked, “Don’t tell you haven’t found a single clue up till now?”

Yin Wuyan shook her head and said disdainfully, “There’s nothing in this damned place. I’ve walked around half the day without even finding a ghost’s shadow.”

“In that case, I will take my leave,” Fang Lin said after hearing this and promptly turned to walk away.

It was a joke, this foolish girl didn’t have a single clue, why should he waste words on her? Talking to her was a complete waste of ti, better to look around instead.

Yin Wuyan was stunned for a mont, not expecting Fang Lin to turn and leave so decisively. What did this an?

“I refuse to believe you can find your way out of here!” Yin Wuyan stomped her foot in anger, but she didn’t follow Fang Lin.

From that point, the two parted ways, and Fang Lin began searching for a thod to leave the place.

Knowing that this was an array, Fang Lin was quite certain; since it was an array, there had to be an Array Eye. A formation without an Array Eye simply did not exist; without an Array Eye, one couldn’t form a complete array.

Finding the Array Eye was essentially equivalent to finding a way out of this place.

As for Yin Wuyan, Fang Lin did not want to concern himself with her. She was a mber of the three sects, and right now, Fang Lin was in opposition to the three sects. Naturally, he did not wish to have any entanglent with Yin Wuyan.

Moreover, Fang Lin was also wary of Yin Wuyan.

Although Yin Wuyan seed sowhat foolish, Fang Lin wasn’t naïve; he had been wandering the outside world for so ti now. You can’t take everything people say at face value—who knew if Yin Wuyan was speaking truthfully?

After searching for three days, Fang Lin had traveled an unknown distance across the wilderness, but the landscape still remained bleak and desolate without a trace of a clue.

Fang Lin remained calm and collected, not allowing frustration to get the better of him despite the lack of leads.

Within these three days, Fang Lin encountered Yin Wuyan twice, with both of them warily glancing at each other before parting again.

Five more days passed, and the place where Fang Lin and Yin Wuyan were located underwent a drastic change.

They had been in a barren wilderness, but in an instant, the sky and earth transford.

Yellow sand filled the sky, and fierce winds howled.

The wasteland had turned into a desert, a very abrupt change that surprised Fang Lin.

On the other hand, Yin Wuyan, who had been here for quite so ti and had already experienced such changes, was not surprised at all.

“Kid, you should have so idea now, right?” the Old Dried Corpse inquired.

Standing atop a sand dune, enduring the scorching sunlight, Fang Lin nodded slightly with a smile on his face.

He indeed had an idea. At the mont of the environntal change, Fang Lin faintly sensed a disturbance—that was the fluctuation of the Array Eye.

Because the Array Eye was operating, it caused the change in the environnt, and inevitably, there would be fluctuations during its operation.

Fang Lin had captured this slight disturbance, vague though it was. As long as the Array Eye operated again, he could use it to find the Array Eye and then leave this place.

What he needed to do next was wait.

One day, two days, three days…

After ten days, Fang Lin sat cross-legged, untouched by the sand and dust swirling around him.

Suddenly, Fang Lin opened his eyes, and almost simultaneously, the landscape around him underwent a massive change.

With his Heavenly Eye open, he surveyed his surroundings, carefully feeling for that fleeting montary fluctuation.

“There!” Fang Lin turned and imdiately headed in a certain direction, while the desert also transford into a snowy plain.

Fang Lin’s figure dashed forward, coming to a stop under an ice peak.

“The Array Eye is here!” Fang Lin revealed a joyful expression, staring at the ice peak.

That faint and brief fluctuation had emanated from within the ice peak, and Fang Lin, with his keen perception, had tracked it down to this place.

“It’s indeed here. Opening the Array Eye should allow us to leave this place,” the Old Dried Corpse spoke.

Fang Lin nodded and with a fierce punch, he struck the ice peak.

Boom~~~

Fang Lin’s punch carried trendous force, and the ice peak instantly shattered and crumbled, revealing a beam of light erging from beneath the collapsing ice.

“Take with you!” Yin Wuyan appeared out of nowhere and shouted at Fang Lin.

Fang Lin turned to glance at her, not pausing for a mont, and directly jumped into the light.

Seeing this, Yin Wuyan gritted her teeth and hastened her pace, rushing over.

Fang Lin’s figure had already vanished into the light, and Yin Wuyan, with incredible speed that took less than a blink of an eye, was close to entering the light as well. But she was still one step too late; the light disappeared, and Yin Wuyan fell to the ground.

“Damn it!!!” Yin Wuyan was livid, stamping her foot so hard that the icy plain rumbled, and the ice surface cracked under her stomps.

Yin Wuyan had been watching Fang Lin closely all this ti. Unable to find a way to leave herself, she wanted to see if Fang Lin could. Today, she finally saw the opportunity to leave, only to miss it by a step and let it slip away.

This made Yin Wuyan furious. If it weren’t for her upbringing as a person of the scholarly sect, which was excellent, anyone with a slightly worse temper would have been cursing by now.

After venting thoroughly on the icy plain, Yin Wuyan finally cald down. Although she was still angry, she had also found a way to leave this place.

Of course, just like Fang Lin, she needed to wait for the next change of the environnt, for the next opportunity when the Array Eye operated.

The Array Eye of this place wouldn’t stay in one location; missing one opportunity ant waiting for the next.

As for Fang Lin, he had already arrived at another place.

Before him were towering trees, each tree thick enough to require four or five people to fully embrace them. Fang Lin stood amidst the dense forest, looking around in bewildernt.

“What’s going on?” Fang Lin muttered to himself, surrounded by a hoard of Demon Beasts.
