After the girl was done, everyone understood what they needed to do at least. They started showing what they could, but everyone that passed still missed one thing, and that was that their spells didn’t have a functional use whatsoever, and that crucial detail was what Sofia wanted.

Raze stood watching, his mind already thinking of what he was to present. He had to show sothing good enough since she had her eyes on him.

’She wants a show, I’ll give her a show.’

Gavin’s turn ca first. He walked up with confidence and calmness, pulling out his sword. He held the handle and lifted the sword up, taking a deep breath.

Sofia watched him with keen eyes. She recalled his face, so she expected sothing good from him.

"True flas, hear ," he muttered, and then magical circles ford along the sides of the blade. They spun, and then suddenly, a bright blue fla covered the entire sword. The flas looked normal at first sight, but then they compressed, and the sword glowed beneath them. The intense heat could be felt by everyone close.

He showed the sword to Sofia. "My special ability, my true fla," he said.

Sofia’s eyes were wide for a mont, stunned by what she just saw, but she quickly wiped that off her face. She couldn’t be showing too much emotion, but Gavin noticed it.

’How does this kid know the concept of a true elental? I might have to speak with him later,’ she thought.

"This is the first show of actual practical use, a blade that can slice through anything that stands in its way. That’s a great showcase," she said with a nod. Murmurs erupted everywhere.

Gavin returned to Raze’s side, his expression calm, like he hadn’t shown off his best yet.

"You can smile, you know, right? When you do sothing pretty good, just smile," Raze said. "I smile all the ti."

"Your smile is the warning to sothing bad. You never smile for a good purpose," Gavin said. He had been around Raze long enough to know that Raze smiled when he got his way, when things were working out for him the way he wanted, and most of the ti, it was sothing devious.

"Hehe, guilty, but a smile’s a smile," Raze said.

"So what will you show?" Gavin asked.

"Hmmm, I have sothing pretty good in mind. I kind of learned it today, and I’ve not touched the other part of it, but I’ll make it work with my understanding," Raze said.

"Normally, I’d say that’s impossible if it was soone else, but you always manage to shock in ways I do not understand," Gavin said. He gave Raze a certain look, but Raze ignored it, focusing on the exam.

A few more people showed what they had to do, many failed, many passed, and so actually showed sothing useful.

Finally, the girl with white hair ca up, and she caught Raze’s attention again. She stood there and then spread her hands apart, casting a spell under her breath. Magic curves ford of light, carrying six points, each point completely vacant.

Then, in the first point, a fla ignited. Everyone was shocked, as they knew she could use light magic, but fire as well? But to their surprise, the next mont, water filled the next circle, and then wind in the next.

By this ti, Sofia and Raze locked eyes on the formation, unable to move their gaze for even a mont. They wanted so eagerly to see where this was going. After that ca earth, and then lightning.

All that remained was the point at the bottom. All the elents connected together through a stream of light and then poured into the lowest point, forming light.

"All the elents lead back to origin, light and darkness. From light or darkness, all elents can be ford. With this formation I am working on, I won’t need to spend years attuning to all elents, but I can harvest them from my light and use them," she explained.

There was silence after she said that. Raze found himself watching her with a fixed gaze, and so did Sofia. Her presentation was not just complex, it was revolutionary. And for her to be the one working on it, that was crazy.

"I have seen so good presentations, so bad ones, and so excellent ones, but what you have shown isn’t just a presentation, it’s a massive idea. You pass with full marks, and extra," Sofia said, still trying to sound professional even after witnessing sothing so great.

Raze watched the girl walk back into the crowd. Everyone around gave her space; when genius beca too much, it beca scary.

"You set the bar; she shattered it," Raze said.

"Hmmm, she is a great mage, I have to admit," Gavin said, looking at her. She didn’t pay attention to anyone and just sat down, staring at nothing.

A few more people went ahead. The tension was heavy due to the show that Gavin and the girl had put up, but many still managed to pass, even if barely.

Then Sofia noticed that Raze had refused to step up till now, so she looked at him after the next person was done and signaled for him to walk out.

Everyone looked at him, the sa person that completely obliterated the entire target. What was he going to do now? In the hearts of many, he was a scam, and no one their age should easily be able to cast such a spell without issue, especially if he wasn’t trained.

So thought he was so sort of rich kid that had enough teachers while he was young. For so reason, they all believed the girl with white hair was a genius, but they found what Raze had done absurd.

Raze let out a small sigh and walked to the front. He gave Sofia a small bow and then readied himself, his lips curling upwards.
