Raze returned to the manor, he snuck in and found the maid again.

"Young master." She bowed to him.

"Yeah yeah, co with fast," he said and headed out again. She was confused but had no choice but to follow.

They walked through the town. He looked at her, thinking about how to ask for her na. Finally, he ca up with a thod.

"Hey, can you tell your na? Seems I forgot," he said.

She looked at him and smiled. "Young master, of all people I know, you have the greatest mory. It’s impossible for you to forget my na.

You simply don’t know my na because you have never asked," she said.

"I never did?" he asked, shocked.

"Yes, young master." She responded. She didn’t find it weird that he acted this way because she knew him, and he wasn’t what you would call normal. He always had an abnormal side.

"I see, so what’s your na?" he asked.

"My na is Elaine, young master." She said. There was a smile on her face as she said it.

"Elaine, I’ll rember it for sure," he said.

They kept walking until they were deep in town. "Elaine, there are a lot of damaged houses in the town, and we have a forest, so I was thinking, why aren’t we able to fix them?" he asked.

She looked around, then looked at him. "Young master, every month more and more people have left the town because of how bad things get.

Your family tries to hide it, but the situation is dire, and your father the Baron is doing everything to ensure that we stay afloat," she said.

"Uhm, I’m very sure he isn’t doing everything. He sure is doing a crappy job, but tell , how does that affect why they can’t fix it?" Raze asked.

She was shocked by the way he spoke about his father, but she answered what he asked.

"The town is heavily lacking in the people that would do such work. Most of the n here are simply people that farm. We have few blacksmiths and a few of other professions," she explained.

"Hmm, so we lack manpower and money, tsk." He clicked his tongue. He thought for a few seconds then looked at her. "Elaine, do I have any money?" he asked.

She looked at him, a bit confused. "Young master, your father provides a monthly allowance. You have been getting yours since you were little.

Though he stopped recently, you do not train, so he sees no need to invest in you. You have mostly safely kept the money under your bed as a habit. You never really spent much.

Young master, if I may ask, did you perchance hit your head?" she asked.

’Shit, she is getting suspicious.’

"No, my mind has just been a little fuzzy, that’s all," he said and walked past her.

"Where are we headed, young master?" she asked.

"To get the money. If there are going to be renovations, I need money," he said.

He got into the manor again, but this ti he wasn’t lucky enough to not et anyone. He ran into his mother and his younger sister.

Elaine quickly bowed and took a step back when she saw the lady of the house.

Raze also gave a small bow out of respect. His mother was a beautiful blonde, with blue eyes just like him, and so was his younger sister. She was only twelve, but she was a stunning beauty at such an age.

His mother looked at him, she spotted the book in his hands and furrowed her brows.

"Raze, you should try and learn sothing that will help the family in its difficult ti, not carrying a book around all the ti," she said.

He looked at her and smiled. "Don’t worry about that, I’m sure you’ll thank for carrying a book all the ti soon," he said.

She raised her brow when she heard that, confused as to what he ant. She gave him a stern look.

"Your father will not continue to condone all this lax behavior," she said, then patted his head. "I know you love to read, and if life was better, you could have read all you want, but it’s not," she said and walked past him. His sister looked at him for a few seconds and walked past as well.

Elaine ca to his back. "Young master, I’m sorry you have to go through that," she said.

"Sorry? About what, we have to get moving. No ti for emotions. I am on a countdown before my father tosses out," he said and kept walking.

She stared in confusion. Normally he would have broken into tears when he heard sothing like that, yet he didn’t. Instead, he was rushing to continue what he wanted to do.

Raze got into his room and searched under his bed and inside his cupboard, and he found them all: pouches filled with coins.

He already knew how the currency of this world worked: a silver coin was worth a hundred copper coins, and a gold coin was worth a hundred silver.

With the help of Elaine, he separated all, and it gathered up a hundred copper coins, a hundred silver, and twenty gold. It was quite the amount for a kid.

He looked at each one separated on his bed and started packing them up into separate bags.

Elaine watched, confused as to what was happening.

He gave her the silver coins. "Take this, head into town, and buy as much bread as you can. But don’t bring it ho, keep it at the bakery."

She looked at the coins in confusion. "Young master, this is a gold worth of bread. That’s at least five hundred loaves," she said.

"Exactly. They have to make it before tomorrow. Also, I’ll be inside all day, no one should disturb ," he said.

She still had confusion written all over her face, but she obeyed, taking the coins and leaving. He closed the door behind and sat down.

"Ti to get down to business."
