We ca to an agreent that Clara’s status as a seer would be kept secret from everyone in the way I wanted, and I reviewed the contract that the prince wanted Clara to sign and confird that there was nothing problematic.

In this way, Clara’s case slowly began to settle down.

Next was... the Eshaware problem.

On the night of the day we went to the palace, Eshaware sent a morandum to Cevilian. As soon as it beca clear that I was the person who was going to deal with the Laute Family matter, they asked for a eting, as soon as possible... only four days away.

But, of course, I told the prince that I would not accept this request for a eting imdiately, no matter how much trouble it would cause.

I won’t refuse forever, of course. I’ll just try to get the prince to postpone it as long as possible.

After all, before we go to the eting, we need to spread the fake story of Adrian and Alysia on social dia, on the whole planet.

And we need to do it in such a way that we don’t get caught, anonymously, as if it were leaked information.

And that requires ti, at least a week.

And I know soone who can do it in a week.

That’s why I’m here.

At the residence of one of my most recent connections.

At Virhen House, in the office of Julian’s father Jonathan Virhen... in person.

"Social dia manipulation, huh..."

He still had the sa appearance generally, but his eyes looked a little confused and thoughtful compared to the last ti we t.

"Yes. As we discussed before, we have a goal to unite all the races so that they can fight together. And I want to use the Laute Family case as an opportunity to bring the Eshaware, the elves, to our side."

Jonathan Virhen... was a man of the law.

Of course, the fact that their role as a family of pillars was to oversee the counts in the kingdom had a lot to do with that.

But even he recognized that the law had to be bent at so point.

"We will show Adrian Caleo and Alysia Laute as heroes who were ready to sacrifice themselves for the good, and to a certain extent did."

He could have figured out the rest himself, he was a smart man.

And he did.

It was clear from his expression that he had thought of all possible scenarios in his mind.

"Two days."

And that’s what finally ca out of his mouth.

"For what?"

"We need two days to get a small team together and start spreading the story secretly. On the third or fourth day the story will start to spread. By the fifth or sixth day, given how big an issue it is, it will be trending. If it stays in the news for a few days after that, I think you can go to Eshaware with the dia behind you."

Ah, he wasn’t thinking of possible scenarios...

He’s already planning.

"Prince Lucas, the royal family, is behind us. If you don’t see a problem with revealing our connection, we can work together to push the deadline back."

He didn’t seem too surprised, after hearing what I said.

And at the sa ti he didn’t seem to care much about what I was saying.

"The sooner the better, I don’t see a problem."

Good... he’s acting entirely in terms of the end result of everything. Experience more content on .Côm

"It’s just..."

I paused for a mont at what I heard, unable to stop my brow from furrowing slightly.

"Just?"

"I want you to take Julian with you to Eshaware."

Huh?

"Introduce him to politics, Aiden. Use him as your assistant of sorts when dealing with Eshaware. Show him how things work among the giants, like kingdoms."

Ah, I see...

"Sure, I don’t see a problem with that."

He wants his son to beco more mature, to be soone who does big things rather than soone who just sits on the sidelines...

An understandable and perfectly acceptable request.

I have my own plans for Julian, anyway.

*******

On my return to the academy from Virhen House, when I arrived in front of my dorm room, I waited for a short while before opening the door and going inside.

Because... I didn’t think I would be able to co in here very often from now on.

I had one thing after another to take care of, piling up. I was going here and there, always dealing with sothing.

And it was only going to increase, not decrease.

No matter how many people were working for , who could help with these things... I would be busier and busier.

It wasn’t that big of a problem, actually, no.

It was just... a realization that made understand that my comfortable life at the academy was over.

I squinted, sighed slightly, and finally opened the door.

The lights were off, no one was inside.

I went into the living room, threw myself down on my couch, closed my eyes, leaned back as far as I could, and rested my head on the soft fabric of the couch.

I waited like that for a while. The darkness, the silence... it was nice. It was relaxing, even.

I could have stayed like this for a long ti, which is what I wanted...

But then I opened my eyes.

And... what I saw left at a loss.

After all, what greeted was a note hanging from the ceiling.

My eyes stayed on the note for a long ti.

Did she specifically predict that I would sit on this couch? Is it a habit of mine that I didn’t realize, or...

Wait, how did she stick it to the ceiling, though?

I took a deep breath, slowly got up from the couch, lifted my cane, poked the note on the ceiling a little, and dropped it down.

It said sothing simple.

Go eat.

Well, it wasn’t that I wasn’t hungry...

And, with that thought, I decided to do what she said. I went to the kitchen. And, just as I expected, a wrapped plate was waiting on the counter.

When I removed the cover and looked inside, I was greeted with a bowl of rice and baked atballs with potatoes and gravy.

And... it was good, honestly.

She seed to be improving day by day.

Who knows, maybe she was even taking a special course. It was a move I would expect from her.

I finished the plate and returned to the living room. But this ti, instead of simply waiting in the dark and silence, I went to my desk and dialed a number.

The call was soon answered.

"Yes, Aiden?"

"Are you available, Alex?"

"Yes, co in."

"I will send you a dicine tomorrow. I want you to analyze it personally with Ulka. Research the components and how you can produce the dicine. It will be a bit of a challenge, it’s a dicine for a disease you’ve never seen before, with ingredients you’ve never seen before. But I want it ready in a week."

After all, Alysia’s dicine is not easy to prepare. But we need to start making new ones before she runs out of them. Otherwise, I will simply be leading Alysia to her death.

"What is the basis of the disease?"

"I’ll send you the details along with the dicine."

"Understood."

A small silence fell between us after his confirmation, but it was short-lived.

"We’ve started mass production of the potions. They’ll be available for the first ti on the market in a few days. If Ulka and my predictions hold, we will have more money than we can spend in a month."

Instead of hanging up the call and minding his own business, he had chosen to report to .

I wasn’t going to complain, of course. It was an important matter, after all.

"We need to have a eting soon, to discuss and finalize so things. At the sa ti, we’ll et with our staff, who are relatively high-ranking."

The companies that will try to stand in our way in the market, which products we will mass-produce next, the shopping giants we want to deal with... and much more.

"When would you be available?"

"Try for next weekend."

"Understood."

In this way, we had small conversations about small matters for the next few minutes.

And our last conversation was about the academy, which I was curious.

"What about Maeve and Cassandra?"

"As per your last request, Cassandra has beco close to Maeve. For now, their relationship doesn’t seem to have changed much. Maeve is wary of Cassandra. But there’s a rumor going around the academy that the two are becoming friends, so we can say it’s going the way we want it to."

Maeve has an important place in my future plans. She’s the heiress of a pillar family, after all. She’s also very capable in terms of managent, leadership, and so on.

With the growing number of things I have to deal with, I can’t spend ti on each one personally. That’s why I need soone like her, soone who can manage other lines of business without any problems while I take care of more important things.

Lucia, Julian, Maeve, Cassandra, Alexander, all my connections and noble families... and more.

All of them are people who can and will take care of important matters for when the ti cos.

"I see."

"Oh, also... a spirit has offered a contract."

...

Huh?

What... did he say?

"A spirit?"

Alex was silent for a mont, as if he wasn’t quite sure what he should say.

"I’m not sure where it ca from, it was wandering around the lab and wasn’t afraid to show itself. A few hours ago, she offered a contract. I... decided not to turn it down right away, considering what you said about them."

I’ve been dealing with a lot of things lately... and the existence of spirits is also one of the things I’ve been dealing with, although it’s the one I spend almost the least amount of ti on.

So sotis I forget that they descended to Lunerra, that they count as a ’humanoid race’ like humans, elves now... And that’s because they haven’t put their weight down yet.

But a spirit offered Alex a contract offer, huh?

Did that happen in the ga...? Even if it did, I don’t rember it.

"What’s their na?"

"Must, she says that she’s a spirit of mist."

Oh, a spirit that doesn’t belong to the primary elents?

A mist spirit nad Must...

Hmm...

No, I don’t rember such a spirit in the ga.

"I see..."

It’s... certainly an interesting developnt.

And as interesting as it is, it might co in handy.

"The spirits, if you’re good with them, are one of the greatest potential helpers on this planet, Alex. So, the choice is yours. You can accept the contract if you want, or you can reject it. You can be sure you’ll do more good than harm, though. Just study the terms of the contract."

Actually, I was thinking of finding the best spirit for everyone who worked for and getting them to sign a contract in person. That was one of the steps I planned to take for the future.

But Alex spontaneously found soone.

It shouldn’t be too much of a problem, I guess. Natural contracts like that is more good than bad.

"Let’s talk about this in more detail during the eting, after you make your choice."

"Understood..."

Well, the call ended after a few minutes.

I found myself staring at the wall.

"Spirits..."

The first important wave of what spirits existence actually ans starts now, it seems.

It seems that contracts are actually starting to be made... and so the importance of ’spirits’ will start to be recognized in a genuine way.

And I’ll finally be able to use my position of ’representative of the spirits’ appropriately.
