The heavy door of the suite clicked shut, the sound final and echoing—a barrier between them and a world that was already trying to pull them apart.

Inside, the air was heavy, charged with the scent of lilies and the frantic rhythm of their breathing. Alex stood for a mont, his hand still on the brass handle. In the silent theater of his mind, he reached out to his only constant witness.

"System... you know what you have to do, right? If the worst happens..."

[ Don’t worry, Host. What you fear is never going to co to pass as long as I am with you. I’ll make sure you don’t beco a teen father, so for tonight... you can go all out. ]

"Thanks, brother."

Alex turned, and Alicia was already there. She launched herself at him with fierce hunger, her lips crashing against his in a desperate kiss.

Her hands clutched his face, pulling him closer as they shared a kiss fueled by the salt of her tears and the heat of her devotion.

As they began to strip away the barriers of silk and cotton, the room felt like it was catching fire. Alicia unzipped her gown, letting the sapphire fabric pool at her feet like a fallen sky. Beneath it, she wore intricate black lace lingerie that contrasted sharply against her porcelain skin—the sheer fabric accentuating her curves and the delicate ribbons teasing the eyes.

Alex’s breath hitched. ’She knew I’d give in.’

Alex’s gaze traveled over her. "You’re so beautiful, Alicia... truly breathtaking," he whispered, his voice thick with genuine reverence. He reached out, his fingers trembling slightly as he unhooked the delicate lace, freeing her from the last of her clothes.

Alicia, usually so composed, felt a deep heat rise to her cheeks, a beautiful blush spreading across her chest and face as she stood fully exposed to his adoring gaze.

In that mont, Alex saw her for what she was: a goddess made of moonlight and snow. Her skin was like polished ivory, glowing in the dim light, and her sapphire-green eyes held a depth that could drown a man. She was a vision of ethereal perfection, radiant and srizing beyond words.

But as she helped Alex discard his own clothes, the roles reversed. When his form was fully revealed, Alicia’s eyes widened in genuine astonishnt.

Her gaze fixed on his massive, throbbing length, her breath catching in her throat.

’Is that size even possible?’

She froze for a split second, a flicker of intimidation crossing her features before being replaced by deep, primal pride. He was more than she had imagined—powerful, scarred, and perfect.

"You’re too... perfect, and that’s what I don’t like the most," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Alex didn’t answer with words. He pulled her into his arms, his mouth finding the sensitive skin of her neck before trailing down. He worshiped her with soft, lingering kisses, his lips pressing against the swell of her breasts with a tenderness that made her heart ache.

She arched into him, her fingers tangling in his silver hair as he indulged in every inch of her, marking her as his.

They beca lost in each other, their bodies a map they were exploring for the first—and perhaps last—ti. They kissed each other all over: shoulders, collarbones, the curve of the waist—each touch a desperate attempt to morize the other. Alicia’s hands road his muscles, tracing the strength she had always relied on, while Alex’s touch was a mix of protective heat and raw desire.

They fell onto the bed, a tangle of limbs and whispered promises. Alicia reached out, her fingers fumbling for the lights. With a soft click, the lights died, plunging the room into shadows lit only by the distant city glow.

In the darkness, the world vanished. The quiet of the suite was soon filled with the frantic rhythm of their breathing, the soft friction of skin against skin, and the low, guttural moans as they indulged in each other, forgetting everything.

———

After spending the night with Alicia as they indulged in each other the whole night, morning finally ca.

Alex’s eyes snapped open.

He woke up slowly, mories flooding back—the passionate kisses, her tearful whispers, the way their bodies had intertwined so perfectly.

He imdiately looked beside him. "Alicia..."

But no one was there. The bed was empty, sheets rumpled on her side.

Alex sat up quickly, still half-asleep as he looked all around the room from the bed. "Where is she?"

He searched the room—the chair where her gown had been tossed, the bathroom door ajar, even stumbling to check the shower, steam long gone.

Suddenly, the system’s voice ca into his head.

[ Host, she already left while you were asleep. ]

Alex heard those words and finally let out a deep sigh, sitting back on the edge of the bed.

"I gave in..." he murmured to himself. "Looks like I really screwed up this ti, huh."

He lay back down for a mont, staring at the ceiling as everything that happened last night kept revolving in his head.

A happy smile crept onto his face. "But it was really an incredible night. I’m never going to forget it as long as I live."

In a low voice, he added, "Thanks, fatty... you really are the best."

He slept for another hour after that, the smile lingering.

When he finally woke up again, he took a long shower, letting the hot water wash away the remnants of the night, then put on his clothes.

Suddenly, his etherPad buzzed insistently.

Alex picked up the call.

Lucas’s voice ca screaming through. "Where the hell are you?!"

Alex sighed. "Relax. What’s got your panties in a bunch? I’m coming."

Lucas shouted, "Did you forget that today is the banquet you told to organize?!"

Alex thought, ’Oops.’

Lucas’s voice continued. "You really forgot, didn’t you?"

"I’ll be there," Alex said.

Before Lucas could say another word, Alex cut the call.

He sighed loudly. "Alright, I should start packing my stuff. Tomorrow is the ti to leave, and today is the last day of my part-ti job as king."

The system’s voice chid in.

[ Host, looks like we’re going to be a day late. ]

"Well, what can we do?" Alex replied. "Let’s resolve all of today’s issues and go out with a bang."

He left the hotel.

But when he reached the parking lot, the Ferrari was gone too. He asked the guard, who bowed.

"The madam who ca with you took it, Your Majesty."

Alex sighed, smiling faintly. "Looks like she’s really determined to take everything of mine... just like a wife."

"And that car was brand new too."

He called a cab and returned to the palace.

Inside the cab, he tried calling Alicia over and over, but she didn’t pick up no matter how many tis he tried.

As he neared the palace, he saw it had been decorated beautifully—banners fluttering in the wind, flowers lining the paths, lights strung across the grand entrance, fountains sparkling, the whole place glowing with festive energy.

Alex got out of the taxi. "Lucas really did a good job."

He entered. All the servants bowed deeply.

"Welco back, Your Majesty!"

"Long live the King!"

"Victory to Avaloria’s savior!"

Alex nodded graciously and went inside.

He found Lucas standing in the main hall, waiting for him.

Lucas looked sharp—white hair neatly styled, dressed in proper banquet attire: a tailored black tuxedo with silver accents matching his hair, a crisp white shirt, black bow tie, polished shoes gleaming, and a subtle crown insignia on his lapel. He looked regal, every inch the prince ready to beco king.

"There you are," Lucas said, exasperated.

"That’s none of your concern," Alex replied coolly.

Lucas sighed. "Alright. In half an hour, the banquet will start. You should get ready."

"The whole world is coming to et you today—including those we considered enemies just a few days ago."

Alex started walking toward his room. "Alright, alright. Let’s just get this over with."

Lucas’s voice ca from behind. "I’ve already prepared so clothes for you. They’re in your room. Change into them."

Alex didn’t say anything and kept walking.

The only thing on his mind was, ’She could’ve at least called after leaving...’

He entered his room and saw the clothes Lucas had prepared—a full set of royal regalia: a heavy embroidered crimson robe with gold threading, a jeweled sash, an ornate crown, ceremonial boots—the works. Stiff, formal, uncomfortable.

"This guy has bad taste," Alex muttered.

He tossed them into the dustbin. "I’ve had enough of wearing uncomfortable clothes. I’m just going to wear sothing comfy today. Fuck the formalities they don’t matter to anyways."

He wore a simple white shirt tucked into black trousers—casual yet perfectly fitted, the shirt hugging his toned chest and arms, the trousers slim along his legs. His silver hair flowed freely, and he looked effortlessly handso, regal in his simplicity.

"Let’s get started, then," he said looking towards the mirror.
