rlin and Leina were both shocked. They exchanged confused glances before turning back to the two n.
"What do you an?" Leina asked coldly.
The man on the right sighed deeply. "In short, anyone who talks about the Dark Tunnel Organization is asking for death. The mayor has ordered all citizens not to ntion their na. If we violate this order, we could all be severely punished—even killed."

There had to be a reason behind it.
"That..." The man hesitated, then shook his head. "I don’t know. The matter remains a mystery to this day."
Suddenly, his friend interrupted. "I know the reason."
Leina and rlin turned at once, waiting for his explanation.
"I don’t know if this is the real reason, but it’s said that the mayor of Helvar was controlled by those evil people. He ordered the guards to seal the city, preventing anyone inside from escaping. Since then, Helvar has turned into a hell that no one can enter," the man explained, his face pale with fear.
What he didn’t say was that he was a native of Helvar who had managed to escape.

The man on the right stared at the pouch of gold coins in shock.

The soldiers nodded and imdiately restrained rlin and Leina.
Leina was furious, but suddenly a voice echoed in her mind.
"Auntie, don’t act rashly. The more we resist, the more complicated things will beco. Don’t worry—I’ve already inford Professors Jason and Victor about our situation. They’ll definitely co to help."
Before parting, he had given Jason, Leina, and Victor a communication bracelet each.

Leina forced herself to suppress her anger and chose to surrender.

They had to complete the mission within five days. The longer they delayed, the more people would suffer and be sacrificed to summon the demons of the Dark Tunnel.
Victor nodded. Without hesitation, the two of them headed straight for the residence of Dunvale’s mayor.

Leina fixed him with a sharp gaze and replied indifferently, "You don’t need to know. Summon your highest authority and have them co before imdiately."
In truth, she did not want to reveal her identity as a professor of Saint Freya Academy.
After all, the mission had to remain secret.
