Arin closed his eyes as he concentrated on his Mana. Within seconds, he was already inside the Mana Space.
He was greeted with the familiar sight of the bright blue sky and the ocean-like surface he was standing on.
Though, if he released his Chaos Elent Mana like he did the last ti, the scenery would change completely.
"Okay, let's start."
He sat down on the ocean surface and reviewed the process.
"One of the Princesses of this Kingdom was the one who discovered that the Water Elent Spells could actually be turned into Ice," Arin muttered. "Imdiately after the discovery, she spread the word and was tagged as a genius."
"Though, that hasn't happened now, but I rember the process."
Because of this, Arin would now actually be the first one to turn Water Elent Spells into Ice.
"At the end, it's just a little bit of physics," he muttered as he raised his hand.
He could freely control Water in this Mana Space without limitations, so the mont he willed it, a Water Spike ford in front of him, brimming with Mana.
"Water moves because it has energy. If I take that energy away, it should stop moving... and turn into Ice."
That was what the princess experinted, and it actually worked.
"It's quite simple," Arin muttered.
"For example, if hot water was left outside in the winter. At first, it'll be warm and free-flowing, but as the cold seeps in, the energy will be drained away. The water will beco still, then it will thicken. And finally, it'll beco Ice."
Without wasting ti, Arin began.
He concentrated on his Mana that was present in the Water Spike. A person's Mana was like an extension of their own body, so controlling his Mana was pretty easy.
He controlled the Mana that was inside the Water Spike and began slowing it down.
Within seconds, his Mana was already slowing down, and it was the sa for the Water Spike. The Water Spike that was flowing like actual water began slowing down, coming to a halt.
Slowing his Mana down was like suppressing that energy that was making it flow.
Imdiately he did that, he could see that the swirling currents of the Water Spike weakened.
"Perfect. Now, ti for the next step."
Arin instantly focused his Mana tightly around the Water, locking it in place.
The Water Spike, which movent had already slowed down before, now beca even slower.
Arin's Mana was forcing the flowing current to stay still. Because of this, the Water that ford the Water Spike began to lose energy.
But he wasn't done.
He directed more Mana towards the Water Spike, whose water had almost completely stayed still.
He wrapped the Mana around the Water Spike, and using his connection with it, he compressed it, forcing it to stop the flow of the Water.
Arin furrowed his brows and grunted as he forced the Mana to compress.
As expected, it wasn't that easy, but he was determined and relentless to achieve this before exiting the Mana Space, so he continued, boosting his endurance by sheer will.
Minutes passed, and Arin was still compressing the Mana that was around the Water Spike. Though, it was easier to do now because he could already see that the current of the Water in the Water Spike was just a tad bit away from completely stopping.
With this realization, he pushed himself further, compressing the Mana, until finally...
WHOOSH!
A thin layer of frost suddenly spread across the Water Spike. The movent of the Water had stopped entirely. The Water Spike crystallized, transforming into a jagged shard of solid Ice.
Arin's eyes glead as he caressed the long shard, feeling the cold surface on his skin.
"This Ice shard is definitely sharper than the original Water Spike," Arin murmured.
This was true. Not only because it was now Ice, but also because more Mana was used to form the Ice from the Water, so it would definitely be sharper.
"I did it..."
Arin grinned from ear to ear as he continued staring at the Ice Spike.
"Information truly is power..."
Now, he had already achieved sothing that wasn't supposed to be achieved yet and was supposed to be achieved by soone else.
"Hmm, it's not like I'm going to tell anyone about this," Arin muttered. "The princess will soon discover it also and share the process."
Though, Arin knew that after she shared the details of the process with the King and experienced Magic Scholars, they made the information available to only a select few, and instead of just letting every single person know, especially the Water Mages in the Kingdom, they wrote the information down in books and sold them for extravagant prices.
"I would understand if they didn't want the other Kingdoms to know about this. After all, it would be a great achievent and added strength for this Kingdom, but not letting your own citizens know is crazy work," Arin muttered.
He rembered that after reading about that in the novel, the King began sounding much like an asshole to him.
Putting that at the back of his mind for now, he focused on other important things.
"Well, ti to do the sa thing for my other Water Elent Spells."
Arin couldn't help but imagine how it would look if his Water Dragon turned into an Ice Dragon.
"Not only will it be more srizing, but it'll also be stronger..."
Arin's eyes glead. "Though, I think the Blood Dragon will still be stronger."
With that, he began carrying out the process.
HOURS LATER...
Arin grinned as he stood up on the ocean-like surface and stretched his arms.
He let out a small yawn before folding his arms.
"I was able to do the sa thing with the Water Ball Spell, the Water Shield Spell, the Water Wall Spell..."
"And lastly, the Water Bubble Spell."
Though, he beca bored at one point because he was just doing the sa thing over and over again, but he managed to pull through, and now, it remained the Water Dragon Spell.
"I think I'll do that later," he muttered. "It should already be morning by now."
And moreover, the third round of the competition was starting today.
