Chapter 245: Rebellion Erupts Again(1)

Kaily rubbed her temples and lightly tapped her husband’s arm with a court fan, speaking in a half-playful, half-reproachful tone. "No discussing that today."

"Alright, dear." Baron Bull scratched his head sheepishly.

"Look, the bride is arriving."

Soone cried out in excitent, pointing toward the entrance. The crowd imdiately rushed out of Fierce Stallion Castle to watch, but instinctively parted to both sides of the doorway so as not to block the path of the day’s main characters.

Maids began scattering flower petals. In the distance, the carriage ca to a stop, and the bride stepped down to walk the rest of the way.

Her cheeks flushed, the bride lifted her skirt slightly and walked forward slowly under the escort of her family.

The son of Baron Fierce Stallion, known as "Little Fierce Stallion," Annie Rui, wore perfectly tailored and exquisite attire. Though his face still carried a youthful air, his spirit was high, like a knight returning in triumph.

"My son, from this day on, you are truly a man."

Baron Fierce Stallion patted his son’s shoulder and handed him a family heirloom, a magnificent ornant set with a sapphire.

"I will carry forward the glory of our family and make you proud."

Standing tall with pride, Annie Rui mounted his horse and rode toward the bride.

According to local custom, he needed to carry her back himself.

"Boom, boom!"

At that mont, a series of rapid hoofbeats like rolling thunder echoed in the distance. The surrounding horses and hunting dogs beca restless and agitated.

"What’s going on?"

Annie Rui instinctively reined in his horse and looked around.

A cavalry force clad in decayed plate armor charged out of the forest at high speed. Their banners were rotten beyond recognition, bearing all kinds of symbols, even a griffin standard.

"What is that, so kind of ghost knight performance?"

The uninford guests looked confused. So even thought it was part of the entertainnt and began clapping.

But very quickly, Kaily, as a Divine Chosen, sensed sothing was wrong. Her expression changed drastically. "No, those riders carry the aura of corrupted creatures. Enemy attack!"

Corrupted cavalry poured out of the forest in an unending stream, over three hundred strong, all of them heavy cavalry.

The soldiers of the bride’s family sensed the danger imdiately. Drawing their weapons, they hastily ford a defensive line. The bride’s pupils trembled as she stood frozen, staring at the overwhelming cavalry charge like a collapsing mountain.

The thunderous advance shook the will of every ordinary person, leaving no room for resistance.

The deford corrupted horses surged forward with unstoppable force. Man and horse together crushed everything in their path, nearly a ton of impact shattering the defending soldiers into pieces.

A cloud of blood exploded into the air.

"Ah!"

"Help!"

The corrupted cavalry crashed into the procession like a gray tidal wave, flesh and blood flying everywhere in an instant.

"No!"

Annie Rui’s eyes split with rage as he saw the woman he loved lifted high on a lance, her blood spraying like a crimson curtain.

Driven mad, Annie Rui drew his sword and charged straight toward the enemy.

"Damn it, where did these enemies co from? Annie Rui, don’t be reckless!"

Baron Fierce Stallion roared, but his son had already ridden far ahead. He imdiately mounted his own horse and raised his sword. "Knights, with !"

"Yes, for the glory of the Fierce Stallion family!"

"Save the young master!"

The knights had no ti to don their heavy armor. They rushed to the stables, mounted up, and rode out to rescue him.

"Damn it, Bull Territory hasn’t fallen. How could corruption appear here?"

As the only Divine Chosen present, Kaily summoned her artifact warhamr without hesitation. She imdiately unleashed her divine power and shot forward like a cannonball toward the corrupted cavalry.

The enemy formation split apart, and from within erged a corrupted Divine Chosen carrying four small banners on his back. His halberd-like weapon radiated intense deathly energy. The mont they t, the two clashed fiercely.

The wedding scene descended into complete chaos. The clash of steel against flesh, the cries, roars, and screams of people filled the air.

With bloodshot eyes, Annie Rui charged directly at the cavalryman who had killed his fiancée.

The corrupted rider remained expressionless, thrusting his lance forward. The small flags attached to it snapped sharply in the air due to the speed of the strike.

Annie Rui had already lost himself. His body twisted instinctively, barely dodging the fatal blow, and he slashed fiercely at the rider.

Clang.

A burst of sparks flew. Even decayed plate armor could not be easily broken by a sword.

"Die!"

Annie Rui spurred his horse forward, leaping off and dragging the enemy down from the saddle. The two rolled onto the ground. Before he could even regain his footing, Annie Rui thrust his sword forward with all his strength, but the blade jamd between the gaps of the armor.

As the corrupted knight drew a hand axe from his waist, preparing to split him in half, a warhorse charged in from the side and slamd into the enemy, sending him flying. It was Baron Fierce Stallion.

"Retreat! Go back and put on your armor. Do you plan to fight heavy cavalry bare-chested like this?"

"No!"

Annie Rui had completely lost his reason.

anwhile, Kaily was locked in a brutal battle. The corrupted Divine Chosen was no weaker than her.

He was a heavy cavalry warrior, while she was heavy infantry. Neither could defeat the other quickly.

Worse still, the enemy had nurous subordinates assisting him, while the Bull family’s fad heavy infantry corps had not been brought along.

Who brings an infantry corps to a wedding?

Knocking aside the enemy’s halberd with her hamr, Kaily charged into the cavalry formation, smashing several riders apart with sheer force and rescuing the Fierce Stallion father and son from the lee.

But when they retreated back toward Fierce Stallion Castle with what remained of their strength, Kaily discovered that the castle itself had fallen into chaos. Countless twisted flesh monstrosities were locked in deadly combat with the guards.

"Richard! Roxa!"

Kaily suddenly trembled. Her contract had been forcibly severed, sothing she could hardly believe.

Yet when she found her husband and son, she saw a scene that chilled her to the bone.

The renowned Baron Bull lay stiff on the ground, his eyes filled with disbelief and terror, while her son knelt there in a daze.

"What happened?"

Kaily suppressed her grief, forcing herself not to collapse. Biting her tongue, she steadied herself and walked to Richard’s side. "Take your father back to Bull Territory."

Seeing her son motionless, she reached out to help him up.

Richard lifted his head and smiled. "What happened? Of course, what happened is exactly what you’re seeing now."

A sudden chill spread through her abdon. Kaily’s eyes widened as she looked down in shock at the ornate twin blades piercing her stomach.

"Hehe, to kill the fad ’Hamr of the Frontier,’ I feel truly honored."

Black ink-like substance surged out from Richard’s body, coalescing into a twin-tailed girl. Covering her mouth, she looked at Kaily with a mocking gaze. "Did it scare you? Surprised? Unexpected?"

"A Divine Chosen of the Shadow World Sect... so you’ve been hiding here all along..."

Kaily was enraged. She tried to swing her hamr to crush the figure before her, but a numbing weakness spread through her limbs, draining her strength.
