In the sea of fire, Chu Yi raised a shield made of Ink Fire Crystal, withstanding the attacks of various Pet Beasts. He retreated, took out eye drops from the Fairy Forest, and applied a drop to his Star Eyes, unleashing countless golden rays. Instantly, his exhausted spirit was rapidly replenished and even exceeded its limits, reaching the 13th level of the Eye of Evil Return. Originally, using it once per solar day was optimal for perfect absorption of the dicinal effect, allowing one to break through two or three levels consecutively. But now, Chu Yi had no ti to care about that and unleashed a powerful attack on the group of Pet Beasts: the special move, Execution by Beheading.
BOOM—
Those present only saw a flash of substantial silver light in the sea of fire. The air beca stagnant as an invisible force transford into a Spirit Blade, fiercely striking at the consciousness of the various Pet Beasts. The Three-tailed Wood Guard Palace, Red Sand Scorpion, and Behemoth had the weakest consciousness; their thoughts shattered instantly, turning them into Chu Yi’s puppets, and they promptly unleashed special moves on their surroundings: [Forest Barrier], [Highly Poisonous Scorpion Needle], and [Destructive Death Light]. The Pet Beasts struck by the Spirit Blade also paused montarily. This brief paralysis caused them to be hit by these three special moves, plunging them into chaos.
"Bika, go!" Chu Yi commanded.
With the combined effects of Telekinesis enhancent and the Ring of Curse, Execution by Beheading repeatedly struck the consciousness of seven War General-level Pet Beasts. This caused Chu Yi’s head to ache; his spirit was severely depleted, almost drained. Seizing the opportunity, he mounted Bika, activated [Frenzy], and fled in one direction.
In terms of strength, victory is uncertain, and there’s also the risk of exposing the Deceit Beast in front of survivors. Being protected by four Silver-level guards, Ji Wu must have cards up his sleeve. Even killing Ji Wu would invite the retaliation of an even stronger force; the cycle of killing the lesser ones only to be pursued by the greater ones would continue. The most critical point is that it wasn’t Ji Wu himself who acted, but Bishop Ian, the manipulator behind the scenes, using others as his tools, forcing to unleash the Power of the Demon God!
Chu Yi bore it.
But the august Master of Grey Mist can’t swallow this insult.
He applied another drop from the Fairy Forest to his eyes. They seed to consu it, emitting a slight, susurrous murmur as his Eye of Evil Return quickly elevated to level 14, his Spiritual Power fully replenished. He then took out a candle. Seemingly unremarkable, it was a rare item for summoning Gray Mist Cultists.
Soon, the candle was lit. A spiral of gray mist rose three feet, emitting a faint radiative wave that spread around.
I’ll use Asa to identify Bishop Ian and execute that betrayer of the Grey Mist with the Ghost Hand’s last Ghost Slash. Then, I’ll consu the remaining value of the Master of Grey Mist to achieve the second stage of evolution. The evolution points are completely sufficient. Plan approved.
"What?"
As the Pet Beasts regained consciousness, everyone imdiately realized that Chu Yi had escaped with his fox. All these actions had happened almost in the blink of an eye.
A Pet Beast of at least level 20, carrying its Master, managed to escape the encirclent of eight War General-level Pet Beasts, all above level 40?! It’s unbelievable! Is this even human? This must be a super genius! Even among the most lauded elites, this is absolutely jaw-dropping! the Beast Taming Team thought. Originally hoping for rcy, they witnessed this scene, all dumbfounded, their worldview completely shattered.
"Brother Chu Yi is aweso!" Lin Xiaong exclaid, looking like a little fangirl. She couldn’t understand the complexities, only thinking that Chu Yi’s escaping figure was incredibly cool.
Lin Tianhai’s mouth twitched. Luckily, my daughter sees him as an idol to admire. That should put an end to *that* notion.
"And a psychic-type Pet Beast, also War General-level," Ji Wu mumbled, removing his sunglasses. A wisp of mist swirled as he snorted coldly, "Careless. Chase him down and cripple him!"
"...Yes," the four Silver-level bodyguards responded in unison. Their faces flashed with sha, but more so with anger.
Initially, we felt that capturing an elite Pet Beast was a sure thing. We appeared cautious, but deep down, we relaxed slightly, they thought. In the end, reality smacked them in the face.
WHOOSH!
Everyone erupted with Spiritual Energy, steering their Pet Beasts and vehicles to swiftly pursue.
Suddenly, a bright light flashed—the Spirit Blade struck again! This ti, the damage was trendous. Even the void seed to shriek as a violent airflow stirred!
BANG!
Apart from the Pet Beasts once again falling into chaos and attacking each other, their vehicles’ parts were damaged, rendering them scrapped!
"Damn it!" Ji Wu couldn’t help but curse. He kicked the wrecked vehicle away and simply mounted his Pet Beast to continue the chase. An elite Pet Beast, after so many battles... I can’t believe it still has this much stamina!
BANG!
The silver light glead; the Spirit Blade struck for the third ti.
The fourth ti...
The fifth ti...
BOOM—
The Gale Fla Dog unleashed a shockwave, like a Vajra Drill, shattering half of the Ice Ape’s body. The latter, even as it was hit, still had its mouth tearing off a large chunk of flesh from a Lightning Bird. The Masters, too, were attacking each other viciously—one aiming for a vital spot, another gouging at eyes. They fought fiercely, lost in bloodlust.
THUD!
Ji Wu was knocked flying by a Sonic Dog’s assault but remained unscathed thanks to his equipnt. Yet, the chaos intensified with each attack. His face turned ashen, and he trembled with rage. What kind of psychic-type Pet Beast can launch so many group attacks simultaneously?!
Ji Wu felt nauseated. Even Bishop Ian, manipulating all this from behind the scenes, felt like he was about to puke.
This is my first ti experiencing how truly difficult Chu Yi is to deal with. He’s not simple at all. If this continues, forget releasing the Master of Grey Mist; we won’t even be able to touch a hem of Chu Yi’s clothes, Bishop Ian thought.
I have to take matters into my own hands, Bishop Ian thought. He hesitated for a mont, carefully glancing at the Eye of Flesh and Blood. Seeing its attention wasn’t on him, he imdiately transford into a wisp of gray mist and quietly dissipated. Since the Golden Monarch is willingly acting as a target, I naturally intend to exploit it. He burst forth with terrifying speed, fleeing in a specific direction. The descent of the Gray Mist is more important than anything else.
「...」
PHEW!
Despite so interruptions along the way, the pursuers finally caught up to Chu Yi. He casually fed Bika a Spirit Core and looked up at the sky. Although it was night, a beam of blood-red light pierced the darkness in the distance, casting a doomsday twilight glow.
"Don’t hold back! Cripple him!" Ji Wu gritted his teeth. This entire chase has been extrely suffocating! Without us even initiating combat, our Pet Beasts started killing each other. It’s absurd!
The four Beast Tars, now missing limbs or nursing injuries, had lost all their initial elegance. Each was bruised and battered. The first sight of Chu Yi, however, brought imnse joy to their eyes, and they imdiately ordered their Pet Beasts to extend the blades of revenge toward this detestable fellow!
"Heh, you’ve chased all this way. You guys must be tired," Chu Yi said, turning around. He gazed at this group of prey, a smirk playing on his lips, his Star Eyes sparkling brilliantly.
"It’s his eyes! Watch out for his eyes!" Ji Wu suddenly shouted, realizing sothing. So special Pet Beasts can attach themselves to their Master’s organs!
"ROAR..."
The Behemoth took a huge step, shaking the earth, and was the first to charge. The other Pet Beasts also began to channel energy for their long-range skills.
Just at that mont, Chu Yi’s left eye burst with a piercing golden light. The pupil vanished, replaced by a golden clock face with twelve ticks.
[Progress: ...100%]
Evolution successful: Clock Eye!
Having luxuriously used drops from the Fairy Forest to forcefully elevate the Eye of Evil Return’s limit by 20 levels, Chu Yi imdiately activated its second stage of evolution.
In the next instant, the ground beneath his feet cracked open. A massive tentacle, shrouded in purple light, erged and split into twelve sections. It shot out, engulfing the Three-tailed Wood Guard Palace and Red Sand Scorpion that were at the rear, swiftly clasping them.
Simultaneously, nurous gray-robed figures sward in from all directions, completing the encirclent under the astonished gazes of Ji Wu and his group.
"Surprised? I’ve summoned reinforcents!" Chu Yi declared.
