Where did it start to feel off?
Chu Yi was montarily dazed as the cloying sweetness of blood seeped from the depths of his mory.
He saw a bizarre castle, luxurious in its decor. Servants bowed respectfully, yet they couldn’t mask the unsettling and terrifying greed in their eyes. The maidservants who once served him would, while he slept, hang from the ceiling, their gazes burning, licking their lips and baring beast-like fangs. Strange, these mories seed more like they were from a third-person perspective. The Janet family was far more bizarre than he had imagined.
A chill ran down Chu Yi’s spine.
From this viewpoint, imnse danger had lurked in his daily life even as a child; behind the servants’ respectful masks lay contempt and greed. He suddenly rembered waking one midnight with an urgent need to relieve himself. Opening the door, he had stumbled upon a Blood Feast. Countless mbers of the Janet family had turned their gazes towards him in unison. Greed, prying gazes, malice... a tide of sensations swallowed all his perception. Among them was Lias, her lips blood-stained, her eyes scarlet, her expression cold. And on the main seat, his adoptive father, having snapped a girl’s neck, was catching her blood in a goblet. He took a deep drink, his gaze terrifyingly cold as it fell upon Chu Yi. Vampires. The entire family wasn’t human; they were Vampires. Night was their ti to be active.
As the mories awakened, Chu Yi rubbed his temples and glanced at Lias, who seed asleep beside him, gently pulling her into his arms. Her flawless, exquisite face rested against his broad chest, presenting a sweet sleeping expression.
It seed the young lady had hidden a lot from him. Then again, so had he.
Chu Yi stroked the girl’s silky hair. The golden-haired loli murmured softly, snuggling into the familiar embrace, her hands instinctively holding him as she slept peacefully.
The two nestled together, quietly enjoying the peaceful mont, their hearts gradually lding as one.
The next mont, Chu Yi opened his eyes, staring out the window. The Clock Eye flickered with Twilight Light, which penetrated the heavy curtains to illuminate a faint silhouette.
「...」
"The Count’s daughter is on this road. Will you go, or shall I?"
On the hillside, black thorns writhed as a nobleman, donning clean gloves, spoke indifferently.
"Hmph, your thods are too crude. Don’t scare her; she’s our leverage against the Count," a portly nobleman sneered disdainfully, then a cunning smile spread across his face. "However, after it’s done, let have a taste first. In any case, after tonight, the Janet family will cease to exist, and she’ll be nothing more than a slave girl."
"Suits ." The gloved nobleman removed his formal hat, revealing a young face.
John, a Viscount loyal to the Grand Duke.
Within the Blood Race, if one was stripped of their title, they lost the Progenitor’s protection, and their status plumted, reducing them to slavery. Thus, the two followed the Grand Duke’s eldest son’s orders, preparing to kidnap Lias to coerce Count Janet into relinquishing his title. Besides the Janets, other families harbored ulterior motives and were unwilling to be subjugated by the Grand Duke. The Grand Duke’s eldest son had ordered their eradication.
WHOOSH!
John’s back convulsed as a pair of bat-like wings unfurled. He took flight, surrounded by a swarm of bats, quickly blocking the luxury car’s path.
"Human technology... so fragile," he sneered, clenching his large fist and swinging it at the luxury car.
Instantly, a massive scarlet force transford into a blood-red hurricane, carrying with it a powerful shockwave as it crashed down like a tsunami.
"What!"
This sudden attack caught the guardian maidservants inside the car completely off guard. It was too fast! This was a targeted conspiracy!
The next mont, a wall of white bone erupted from the ground, directly blocking the hurricane. The pale bone wall then shattered.
"Janet’s Dark Guard? Die!" John wasn’t surprised. With a flap of his bat-like wings, his figure beca a blur. A dark sphere of lightning, capable of corroding matter and destroying internal Spiritual Structures, coalesced in his palm as he thrust it towards the luxury car.
BOOM!
Before it could reach the luxury car, three fierce dragons wreathed in flas charged out. With the mountain-crushing strength of a Giant Dragon, they slamd John away.
"What is that?!" John tumbled several tis in mid-air before stabilizing. He stared at the Crown Fla Six-tailed Fox, its six tails swirling like wild drakes, seemingly ready to set the world ablaze.
A Six-tailed Fox? A Pet Beast?
He was astonished. Six-tailed Fox Pet Beasts were incredibly rare, perhaps not seen even once in a decade. Yet, here one was, and it seed even stronger than him! It was a well-known fact that only humans could contract Pet Beasts.
Is there another human inside this car?
ROAR!
Bika roared passionately. Having just consud a Spirit Core, its blood and energy were largely depleted, yet a fierce Crown Fla still billowed from its body. It launched a beam of fire that John narrowly avoided, the beam exploding against a distant rock wall!
The next mont, six fierce dragons rushed forward, executing a series of skills. They wove together a large storm that smashed the slightly slower-reacting John into a deep pit, raising a large cloud of dust. The six tails, imbued with draconic brute force, whipped John relentlessly. His organs, bones, and chest ruptured; he was completely unable to withstand the power of the King’s Cub.
"Xinluo, help !"
A titled mber of the Blood Race, under the Progenitor’s protection, possessed terrifying regenerative abilities. However, they couldn’t withstand the King’s Cub’s domain when it opened, filled with explosive Crown Fla that blasted John into pieces, his body nearly beyond assembly. Although he wouldn’t die easily, being continuously attacked and set on fire ant there was a genuine chance he could be beaten to death.
Inside the car, a wisp of gray mist drifted, dulling Lias’s senses. She continued to sleep soundly in the refined youth’s arms.
Though he was unclear about the attackers’ purpose, it wouldn’t stop him from going on a killing spree.
At this mont, the car stopped. A few guardian maidservants were extrely anxious.
"Young Master, quickly take the Young Miss and go! We’ll hold them off!"
"The Count sent a ssage. The Young Miss is their target."
"There’s more than one enemy!"
The won were nervous and uneasy because a group had co to kidnap the Young Miss.
"Found you!"
RIP!
Accompanied by a sharp tearing sound, the car door was ripped open, destroyed by a claw wreathed in blood-red energy. The car door was tossed aside, revealing a portly nobleman who greedily eyed the young man and young woman. Earlier, while John had Bika’s attention, Xinluo had quietly lurked, preparing to capture them alive. Even with the feedback from Beast Taming, a Beast Tar fundantally lacked significant personal combat power. If the Master was killed, the Pet Beast would also suffer greatly. Thus, Alien Races typically employed decapitation tactics against Beast Tars; killing the Master solved all problems.
"HUSH!" Chu Yi frowned, signaling the attacker who had just appeared to be quiet and not disturb his girlfriend’s sleep. Lias was indeed very tired from their earlier intimacy; after all, even her Jade Feet were numb.
"Courting death!" Being so contemptuously ignored, Xinluo didn’t hesitate for a mont, his claw poised to kill his opponent.
