Michelle and the woman shot their arrows at the sa ti. Everyone was anticipating what would happen next. Even Michelle was curious. She had never done sothing like that before, so adrenaline was pulsing through her veins, making her purple eyes gleam with excitent.

For the first few monts, everything seed normal. But in a split second, one could realize that Michelle’s arrows flew faster than those of the woman. They collided closer to the woman.

The Binding Chains spread out and forced the fire arrows of the woman to stab into the ground. By doing so, the Binding Chains left the black arrows, and the three of them continued to fly at the woman. They lost so of their montum, but they were still deadly.

Because of the slight slowdown, the woman was able to move a bit to the side, and the three arrows hit her shoulder instead of her chest. But that didn’t an the fight could go on.

Just recently, Michelle had learned to make void fire out of soul energy, and she was going to use it.

The black arrows exploded into black tongues that instantly spread over the woman like a plague, making her scream in pain.

The next mont, the array activated, and both Michelle and the woman were brought to the resting area. The woman had fainted, void swirling around her. Her face was ghastly pale, making the other people around look at Michelle like she was so kind of monster.

What kind of power did she have to be able to control void?

Seeing the state the woman was in, Michelle frowned. She didn’t want it to end up like that. She hadn’t expected the void fla to infect the woman with Void Plague.

Even the dics didn’t dare approach the woman. Void Plague could be contagious if the patient wasn’t handled carefully.

Michelle quickly stepped forward and lifted the woman from the ground. "I need an empty room!" she turned to the dics.

Having seen her capabilities, and since she was the one who caused the Void Plague, the dics decided that she was the person with the highest possibility of curing it.

After getting an empty room, Michelle kicked everyone out and turned to the woman. Her state was the sa as that of David when she had treated him, so the treatnt would be easier than when she treated Alexander.

Gathering so soul energy in her hands, Michelle had it wrap around the woman before forcing it into her body, searching every nook and cranny for void. Once she found it, she surrounded it with her soul energy and forced it to move as she wanted.

After about half an hour, Michelle pulled all the soul energy back forcefully, which caused void to fill up the whole room. It was impossible to keep it at bay when pulled out at once. But it had to be done all at once; otherwise, remnants would stay in the woman’s body.

When the void filled the room, Michelle sat down and started quickly absorbing it.

And that in itself wasn’t that easy of a process. The void wasn’t her own, so it didn’t listen to her. She had to force it to submit to her and beco hers.

The only way to do that was by surrounding it with her soul energy and pulling it into her body.

But even then, it wouldn’t be hers, though she would no longer have anything to do with it. She would just leave it in her body, and it would slowly transform.

Until then, her eyes and maybe even her hair would turn completely black—like void.

With her appearance changed so dramatically, Michelle felt like she shouldn’t show herself to the others. But she had to call the dics so they could heal the woman’s physical wounds.

So she stood up, sighed, and went to open the door.

When the people outside the room saw her, they went pale. But Michelle didn’t pay them any attention. "She’s fine now. Just the physical wounds remain!"

Hearing that, the dics instantly rushed into the room to take care of the woman. And once they got closer, they indeed realized there was not a single speck of void left on her.

That left them speechless. Michelle was clearly a weakling from the lower realm, so how was it possible that she could defeat Monarch rankers, inflict others with Void Plague, and even treat it?

But no one had the chance to ask. Not liking the gazes on her, Michelle went into the arena building, straight into Mavreth’s booth.

"Did the amount of soul energy you have improve after treating her?" he asked, turning to look at Michelle. The black eyes and hair were proof of the fact that there was so much void in her body it couldn’t store it, so it was temporarily being stored even in her soul.

"I can’t really understand it!" Michelle shook her head with a sigh. "She was clearly infected by my soul energy—my void. So how co when I treated her, there was more void than what I sent into her by folds?" she asked as she sat on the chair nearby, picking up the skill book about the Nonexistent Hymn she had left there before.

Mavreth shrugged. "I’m not a Soul Master!"

That earned him a glare from Michelle. "Aren’t you a creator from the beginning of all ti? How co you don’t know?"

Mavreth showed a smile. "But you are the first one to ever treat the Void Plague."

Another glare from Michelle was directed at Mavreth. "The fact that only I can treat Void Plague doesn’t an others didn’t discover the abilities of void. Surely you know about them. Either you don’t want to tell , or you just don’t rember because of how old you are."

If soone else had heard Michelle, they would have prayed for her to have a quick death after saying sothing like that. No one had ever told the black god, Mavreth, that he was old.

Or at least no one who had told him so had lived to tell the tale.

"Do you not value your life?" Mavreth frowned under the black hood he always had on.

Michelle shook her head. "I value it a lot, but you wouldn’t kill for sothing like this. You aren’t petty enough to ruin your plans over sothing as small as being told that you are old."

Without prior warning, Mavreth gathered a speck of dark-elent spirit energy and flicked it at Michelle. It flew fast like a bullet and hit her abdon.

It was like a punch to the gut—more powerful than anything Michelle had ever felt.

It forced her to double over, falling off the chair to the ground, where she curled up into a ball, her hands over her stomach. "You petty bastard..." she hissed through the pain, feeling like she was about to foam at the mouth.

Mavreth crossed his legs with a smile. "You are right. I won’t kill you over sothing like that." He ford another small speck and sent it straight at Michelle’s forehead. She felt like she was about to faint from the pain, but the spirit energy entered her brain, forcing her to stay awake.

"You don’t have to continue fighting today," Mavreth said, sounding quite magnanimous. But it didn’t look like that because of what he had just done.

"Well... I’m eternally gratefu..." Michelle hissed through the pain. Even though the pain was terrible, her mind was at peak condition—clear and sharp. That was definitely because of the spirit energy Mavreth had sent into her brain.

Turning his gaze back to the arena, Mavreth started completely ignoring Michelle. And she could only curl up on the ground, breathing slowly and deeply.

anwhile, Alexander was sitting in the Dark Palace’s branch in the middle realm, staring out the window. Rage was clear in his eyes.

Two more people were with him in the room, both kneeling and silent. Unlucien and Noctis didn’t dare speak to their Lord and ask what was going on.

But there was one valid guess: Alexander was probably enraged because the old fogies in the upper realm were annoying him, preventing him from going to see Michelle. It was clear that he would do anything to go and ss with her as soon as possible.

But then there was the question of why he didn’t just kill them all with a sweep of his hand. He was a Shadow Master. He could do it easily.

But the two shadow guards couldn’t see into their Lord’s head. And they didn’t dare guess any further. That would be disrespectful.

In reality, Alexander was already thinking of the best way to kill the old fogies in the shortest ti possible. Because if he just killed them, he would have to take care of the aftermath. So he had been putting off the killing for a while.

But that let the old fogies get arrogant, thinking he wouldn’t dare touch them. They didn’t know it was actually Alexander’s laziness that was keeping them alive.
