A few days later, the Sloan family was thrown into turmoil. And it wasn’t because Michelle appeared on their rooftops again. She had just fought with two Spirit Overlords, never aiming for their vitals.

Over the past few days, Michelle had appeared there many tis, and she had never hard anyone, so the Overlords weren’t aiming to kill her. They just wanted to gauge her real strength, since it seed she had never shown it.

On the last day, Michelle’s eyes were completely black—not from her soul energy, void, but from excitent. Before departing with Anastasia, she had handed her a bottle of poison to be administered to the family head’s only daughter. That would surely cause chaos.

So the next day, Michelle didn’t appear. No matter how much the Overlords had taken a liking to her over the past few days they fought with her, they understood she had led them by the nose. She must have been sohow behind the Young Lady’s sickness. The doctor had said she was most probably poisoned, and he couldn’t treat it.

When the family head heard that the person who had been appearing on the rooftop was probably the culprit behind his daughter’s poisoning, he was enraged and nearly killed the Overlords with his pressure.

And all that was being watched by Michelle and Anastasia from afar. Michelle had so spare disguise masks, so they knocked out two servants and took on their appearances to sneak into the hall.

That way, they even had a firsthand experience of the Spirit Saint’s pressure. It nearly crushed their bones even though they were quite far and he was restraining himself.

A smile crept to Michelle’s lips. If she could once poison soone so much more powerful than herself, she would be overjoyed.

But at the mont, it wasn’t the ti for that. She glanced at Anastasia, and when she nodded back, they were about to leave, but one of the Overlords fainted.

So, disguised as the only servants in the room, they were tasked with taking him to his room.

Anastasia wasn’t really happy, but she followed Michelle. Once they were out of the hall with the Overlord, Michelle smiled.

"This gives us the perfect chance to move around the residence," she said as she continued dragging the Overlord over the ground.

To prevent people from suspecting them because of how Michelle was dragging the man, Anastasia quickly grabbed his legs and picked him up too so he wasn’t dragged all over the place.

While carrying the man, Michelle raised a brow slightly. The man was the Overlord she had fought the very first day—the ice-elent Spirit Master.

Her smile spread wide. It seed worth it to befriend him. But she wouldn’t do it as a servant. Or as the intruder.

A few days later, she would co with a new identity along with all her friends.

After putting the Overlord in his room, Michelle and Anastasia slipped out of the residence and went back to the cave.

"Everything went as we wished!" Anastasia said with a happy smile as she took off the disguise mask.

Ivona and Kieran were happy and a bit surprised when they heard that. They already knew that Michelle could make dicine, but they had never expected her to make poisons too.

When they had first asked her about it, she said making dicine and poison was the sa but with different ingredients. They didn’t want to believe her, but she proved it to them when she made the poison and it worked on the head’s daughter.

Michelle lazily took off the disguise mask and glanced at the cauldron she used to make the poison.

Just like she had asked, Kieran and Ivona had piled up herbs and other things next to it so she could go prepare the antidote. That was the harder part.

Making poison was quite easy. It didn’t need special control over fire or an exact ti to put in the ingredients—or at least, not with the poison Michelle was making.

She could just throw everything in at once and then have her cold fire burn over it for a long ti until it froze together. Then, she just needed to thaw it and a pill was done.

But antidotes were different. They were a type of dicine, so their handling was completely different.

She would first need the cauldron to reach a certain temperature.

Then, one by one, she could put in the ingredients, with small intervals between adding them.

Slowly, she would need to nd them together under high temperature, with the fire completely under her control so things didn’t burn or get too cold. Otherwise, the pills inside would explode and she would have to start over.

And the last step would be slowly cooling off the pills so they didn’t crack or deform in other ways.

That wasn’t all that important—cracked and deford pills worked all the sa—but it showed the Pill Maker’s skills, so people avoided deford pills.

If it were up to Michelle, she would cool the pills down in a shock wave of her cold fire, not caring about their texture.

Still, she decided to abide by the customs of the world she was in. She didn’t feel like being scorned and obstructed in her work just because of her laziness.

"When will we proceed with the plan?" Kieran ca over to ask Michelle as she sat down by the cauldron.

Michelle thought about it for a mont before answering. "Give three days to finish this. Then we can go."

In the past few days, she had made enough poison to annihilate the whole Sloan residence, but she didn’t want to do things in such a crude way.

She liked it when things were more intricate and planned—making the opponent think they had the upper hand the whole ti.

She would rebuild the whole Sloan residence into a house of cards, making them think she was strengthening them. And then, with a single blow, the paper house would fall apart.

When Kieran left Michelle alone, she just sat in front of the cauldron, contemplating one thing. How to heat it up?

Back in the Land of Exile, when she was concocting sothing, she just put wood under it and lit it on fire, which was quite the torture for her because of her cold body.

But at the mont, she was planning to make a much more intricate pill, and the heat of ordinary fire was far from enough. She needed sothing like Kieran’s elental fire. But she needed to have it under her full control.

Then, she rembered sothing. When she woke up on the peak after Tenether made her faint, she was covered by darkish snow. It obviously wasn’t natural.

Summoning Tenether, she grabbed the cat by the back of his neck and lifted him in front of her.

"Tenether, what was the gray snow back on the peak?" she questioned with narrowed eyes.

Tenether didn’t like being lifted into the air, so he answered with a soft ow. In Michelle’s mind, she heard the answer and smiled. Tenether had used his soul energy—void—to stimulate the surroundings to create new snow. The snow was darkish because it absorbed so of his soul energy.

"Can I create fire that way?" Michelle asked quickly. If she could, all her problems would be solved. Also, she wouldn’t have to worry about being too hot because her Everfrost Mantle would keep her cool.

Tenether nodded. With void as soul energy, basically anything could be achieved. But great control over the soul energy was required. Otherwise, the user would just end up hurting themselves without achieving anything.

A soft frown arched Michelle’s brows. She didn’t know how much control she had over her soul energy, but it was definitely less than what Tenether had. In the end, Tenether was a monster specialized in soul energy.

"How do I do it?" she finally asked, determined to at least try. She was a bit worried about getting hurt, but no risk, no gain.

So Tenether started explaining things in his childish ways, and all Michelle could understand was that she had to use the void to press on the space where she wanted the occurrence to happen.

Maybe that was why there was so much pressure in Blue Fla City when Tenether was still under the fountain. It was trying to achieve sothing by the pressure all around. It wasn’t just oppressing everyone.

But a problem appeared. Michelle had no clue about how to create pressure using void. At most, she could lower pressure, because void could easily suck things away and destroy them. But to increase pressure? She was at her wits’ end.

Still, she decided to try sothing. There was no guarantee it would work, but it was worth a try.

Summoning her soul energy on her palm, she sent it under the cauldron and started pushing more and more of it there.

When she felt her soul energy starting to drain from her body, Tenether owed happily. "You did it!"

That made Michelle’s eyes light up. She could indeed feel so pressure forming under the cauldron. But it was still far from starting a fire.
