Chapter 183: If You Want to Kiss Kanna, Kiss First

Takanashi Touka’s face turned slightly red, but as a woman who had been in the workplace for so ti, she didn’t blush like a shy girl or let out a cute squeal. She simply raised her hand to cover her collar and said calmly, with that composed tone of hers that sohow made the mont even more alluring:

“This uniform they issued is a bit small, so the buttons often pop off…”

It’s not that the uniform is small—your chest is just too big, that’s why the buttons keep flying off! Those tight fabrics probably beg for rcy every morning.

“Well, it’s a bit troubleso, but I’ve gotten used to it…” she continued, her lips curving slightly in a faint smile.

So, won with big breasts really are troubleso creatures! Especially when they speak as if it’s nothing.

“Kouya, could you give back the button?” she asked, leaning slightly forward.

Kouya’s expression stayed calm as he casually handed the button over, as if none of this were out of the ordinary.

“Eh?”

Takanashi Touka blinked, clearly surprised by his lack of reaction.

Normally, a guy would at least hesitate—maybe even fidget a little. Why did this boy act so indifferent? That calm, detached look made her oddly curious.

Halfway through reaching for the button, Touka hesitated and withdrew her hand. “Well, forget it. You can keep the button as a nto,” she said, teasingly brushing her hair aside.

“…”

Kouya’s mouth twitched. It’s just a button—what’s so morable about that? Does a button that flew off your chest suddenly gain historical significance?

Aside from so guy obsessed with mature won, nobody would be interested!

“Here, take it back,” Kouya said flatly.

“I’m giving it to you. I have plenty more, I’ll just sew another one on later.” Her voice softened as she tilted her head slightly. “Think of it as a token of my affection.” She then looked at the evening sky, a playful glint in her eyes. “How about coming over for so tea at my place?”

Kouya’s face darkened instantly, and he turned away without hesitation.

“No, I’ve got things to do. Goodbye.”

The sun was still high, its rays painting the street in gold. Going ho would only an gaming or watching ani—so he decided to wander for a bit.

By late May, almost June, the heat had started creeping in. The cherry blossoms that once adorned the corner tree had long been carried away by the spring wind, leaving behind lush green leaves that danced gently in the breeze. The air slled faintly of grass and distant rain.

Kouya walked quietly, his shoes tapping softly against the pavent. The hum of cicadas echoed faintly as he savored the calmness of being alone.

He reached a park nearby and spotted a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye.

A small elentary school girl, standing by herself.

She wore a yellow hat perched neatly atop her light hair, a big red backpack weighing down her small fra, and her uniform looked a size too neat. Behind her, an invisible tail swayed playfully. Her white stockings hugged her small legs, and her round, soft face looked so squishy it was almost criminal not to pinch it.

It was Kanna.

The blue-eyed dragon girl stood before a flowerbed bursting with color. The wind brushed gently through, carrying the sweet scent of blossoms. Butterflies fluttered lazily, their wings catching the afternoon light.

Kanna’s gaze was fixed on a single white butterfly that danced in the air before her, her expression completely absorbed. Her little fingers twitched as if she were about to reach out.

Then the butterfly fluttered closer—closer still—until it hovered right in front of her face.

And then—

“Ahh~”

Kanna opened her mouth and swallowed the butterfly whole in one quick gulp. She blinked afterward, her face scrunching slightly in mild disgust.

So she wasn’t admiring it—she wanted to eat it?!

Your appetite’s way too unpredictable!

At that mont, Kanna seed to notice sothing. She turned her head, her long lashes fluttering, and when she saw Kouya, her eyes widened in recognition.

Then she ran—small, quick steps, her backpack bouncing with each stride. One hand clutched its strap, the other grabbed the hem of Kouya’s shirt as she looked up at him. Her big, blue eyes shimred under the sunlight like clear water.

Her voice ca out soft and sugary, like jelly candy lting in the mouth.

“Hungry. Want food.”

Ah, that line again…

You said the sa thing when you blocked outside Kobayashi’s apartnt, didn’t you?

Still, with that pitiful, hungry look, there was no way he could ignore her. Kouya sighed. “Let’s go.”

“Mm.”

Kanna nodded obediently, still clutching his shirt as she followed him step for step.

Soon they reached the bustling food street nearby. The orange glow of dusk painted the shop signs, and the aroma of grilled food filled the air. Students laughed as they shared snacks, and couples strolled hand in hand, their chatter blending with the clatter of pans and sizzling oil.

“Want dorayaki,” Kanna said, tugging on his shirt and pointing at a stall.

“Buy it.”

“Also want baumkuchen.”

“Buy!!”

Kouya finally understood why so many n dreaded shopping trips with girls—it was always the sa cycle: shop, eat, shop, eat, repeat until broke.

A short while later, the tug ca again.

“Want chocolate banana.”

“Buy, buy, buy!” he said, waving his hand like a defeated man.

He rembered eating one at the Shigure Festival—a banana dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with rainbow-colored nuts. The creamy fruit blended perfectly with the sweet coating, a simple yet sinful treat.

Most girls who cared about their figure would stare longingly through the glass but never buy it. Kanna, however, had no such human worries. She bit happily into her chocolate banana, her cheeks puffed like a hamster.

Afterward, the distant sound of a Scottish bagpipe floated through the evening breeze.

Kouya looked up and realized they had wandered near the café where Vigne worked.

“Let’s stop for so coffee,” Kouya said after a brief thought.

“Mm.” Kanna nodded with her mouth still full.

He opened the café door. The bell chid.

“Welco—”

The pleasant greeting halted midway.

Vigne froze, eyes wide. “Y-you… why are you here?” she stamred, stepping back slightly.

That nervous look—what’s that supposed to an?!

Did you think I ca here to kidnap you or sothing?!

“I’m just bringing Kanna for coffee,” Kouya said dryly.

“Eh? Kanna?” Vigne blinked, finally noticing the little dragon girl behind him. In an instant, her wariness lted into soft affection.

“It really is Kanna-chan!” she said, bending down with sparkling eyes.

Vigne couldn’t resist and reached out to gently pinch Kanna’s cheek. “Good afternoon, Kanna-chan.”

Kanna, distracted by her snacks, didn’t protest. She blinked and replied in her calm, sweet tone:

“Good afternoon, Vigne.”

“Eeeh!”

Vigne let out a tiny, involuntary squeal. Her hand balled into a fist against her chest, a flush spreading over her face. “I’m so happy…”

Happy about what?!

Where’s that alertness you had the first ti we t?!

“Kanna-chan called my na for the first ti…”

She just said your na! That’s all!

If this blue-eyed dragon ever kissed you, you’d probably faint from joy.

Wait a second…

They say cat lovers will do anything for their pets. For a kiss from Kanna, you’d probably go to any lengths, wouldn’t you? Like… if you want to kiss Kanna, then kiss first?
