Imperial Capital of Great Jin, a certain palace.

The envoy from the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets tugged at his robe with disdain and complained, "You two have higher cultivation levels than the Empress. Why should we fear her? We could just swagger into the palace, and she couldn't do anything about it. Why make pretend to be a eunuch?"

The envoy glanced at the Yin-Yang Elder's royal physician robe and then at Pu Lingzi's Imperial Guard armor. Only he was dressed in an androgynous manner, which made him feel resentful.

The Yin-Yang Elder stroked his beard, ford a hand seal, and closed his eyes, saying, "Ever since we entered the Great Jin palace, it feels like an evil dragon is watching us. I suspect there's a hidden threat in the palace, possibly an undead monster or so forbidden object. In any case, we must proceed with caution."

Pu Lingzi nodded in agreent and said, "Indeed! I even suspect that the Empress has already discovered us."

Both of them looked solemnly in the direction of the Taiji Hall.

Hearing this, the envoy was startled, feeling a chill down his spine. "I think this infiltration is too risky. Maybe we should go back and make other plans..." The envoy shrank his neck, feeling a bit cowardly.

Pu Lingzi and the Yin-Yang Elder exchanged glances and silently nodded.

"Let's go back to the city," Pu Lingzi said.

With their cultivation at the Morning Glow Realm, their premonitions felt like prophecies.

The Yin-Yang Elder took a long look at the magnificent Golden Throne Hall through the red walls and golden tiles, shook his head slightly, and turned to leave.

But as he took the first step back, his neck hadn't fully turned when he froze, his pupils contracting as he stared behind him.

"Sir, what's wrong?" The envoy hadn't reacted yet. When he turned his head, he gasped.

Pu Lingzi was the first to notice sothing amiss. He was already on high alert, holding a formation disk in his palm and scanning the surroundings.

In just a mont, the high walls of the palace transford into a village with crisscrossing paths and the sounds of chickens and dogs!

"What the hell?!" The envoy stumbled backward in fear, falling to the ground, staring at the scene in disbelief.

Pu Lingzi, though overwheld, remained clear-headed. He glanced at the Yin-Yang Elder and asked, "What do you think?"

The Yin-Yang Elder closed his eyes, ford a hand seal, and calculated for a long ti before slowly opening his eyes. "The divination here is chaotic, and the heavenly secrets are obscured."

"There are two possibilities. First, soone is using an auxiliary imperial treasure to seal this area. Second, this is a forbidden place! Intruders rarely survive."

Pu Lingzi sneered, "How could there be a forbidden place in the Great Jin palace? Soone must be playing tricks. I'll break this and see who dares to plot against ."

"Wait!" The Yin-Yang Elder suddenly raised his hand to stop him, staring intently at a dog lying on a field ridge.

"Look, what is that?" The Yin-Yang Elder pointed at the dog.

Hearing this, Pu Lingzi looked over, frowning for a long ti before his eye twitched. "That dog contains an immortal fire attribute and a devouring gravity!?"

"A Sea Covering Realm demon? No! That's not right..."

"Moon Shine Realm, or Morning Glow, neither. Why does its realm fluctuate, sotis Morning Glow, sotis Cloud Soaring?!"

The big yellow dog lying on the ridge lazily opened a slit in its eyes, glanced at the two, and then rolled over to continue sleeping.

Especially in that last glance, there was a hint of human-like pity, as if looking at two unfortunate fools.

"It looks like the Guardian Beast of the Great Jin Dynasty," Pu Lingzi said.

The envoy, who had been sitting on the ground in a sorry state, scrambled to his feet, trembling, "Sirs, we should find a way to escape! Maybe we're not even in the Great Jin territory!"

"Nonsense! Don't talk rubbish," Pu Lingzi glared at him and scolded, "To silently transport two Morning Glow Realm cultivators thousands of miles away without us noticing would require a Heaven Supporting Realm master."

"Where would Great Jin find a Heaven Supporting Realm cultivator?"

The envoy, with a tearful face, said, "But sirs, think about it. If even a random dog in this village is so strange, if it really is the Guardian Beast of Great Jin, and we're still within Great Jin, why hasn't it attacked us?"

This statent left Pu Lingzi and the Yin-Yang Elder silent.

It made so much sense that they couldn't refute it.

"Don't panic, let's observe first," Pu Lingzi waved his hand calmly.

"Let's check out the village," the Yin-Yang Elder took the lead, striding towards the densely populated village.

The envoy, though scared, hadn't lost his mind. He could only cling to the two Morning Glow cultivators, having no other choice.

Along the way, an old scholar with white hair smiled and nodded at the three of them.

"Welco, travelers. Sorry for not greeting you earlier," the old scholar said politely.

The Yin-Yang Elder's eyes flashed with a sharp light.

Pri Minister Jiang Canghai of Great Jin? What's he doing here!?

"Jiang Canghai?" the Yin-Yang Elder asked.

"No, I'm Jiang Dahai, the village chief of Present Village," the old scholar smiled.

The Yin-Yang Elder snorted, clearly not believing it. Did they think he was a three-year-old child?

Just as he was about to expose the old man's disguise, he caught a glimpse of a sowhat familiar figure out of the corner of his eye.

"Madam ng is so diligent, going to the market to card wool in the morning and doing laundry and cooking in the afternoon. She'll be even busier once she has a child," a blacksmith laughed, holding a hamr.

Madam ng, in a plain white dress, struggled to carry a bucket of clothes back from the river.

"Uncle Sanhuo, Qingzhou said to invite you to dinner at our house tonight, don't forget," Madam ng blushed at the ntion of having a child and quickly changed the subject.

"Sure thing!" the blacksmith laughed heartily.

The Yin-Yang Elder's eyes bulged, his jaw dislocated with a crack, and he made a choking sound, pointing at Madam ng.

What the hell, isn't that the Empress Dongfang Liuli?!

How did she beco a village woman nad Madam ng?!

That shy and demure look, could it really be the sa decisive and ruthless woman who had caused so much fear among the various forces of Sky State that they had plotted to eliminate her?!

Pu Lingzi looked at the Yin-Yang Elder in confusion, then turned his head...

"Infinite Heavenly Sovereign, what the hell!" Pu Lingzi exclaid.

...

...

"Why are you here?" A young man with a covered face appeared beside Madam ng, looking like an immortal.

The young man looked around and replied, "I'm looking for Big Yellow and also for so outsiders who sneaked into the village."

...

...

Seeing the harmonious scene of the young man with no cultivation fluctuations and Madam ng, the three of them felt a chill run down their spines.

"Infinite Heavenly Sovereign, could we have... really encountered sothing strange?" Pu Lingzi felt uncertain.

The Yin-Yang Elder said nothing, silently fixing his dislocated jaw.
