He raised his hands, then lowered them again, completely flustered.

Fortunately, Illiya had never been one to make things difficult for himself. He quickly soothed himself and said, "If soldiers co, we fight them. If floods co, we block them with earth. It’ll be fine. If worst cos to worst, I’ll call a parent."

Drow: "..."

Sothing definitely felt off about this scene.

Drow wanted to say sothing, but before he could even open his mouth, a burst of white light erupted from the Land Between and swallowed the two of them whole.

Yes, they had arrived at their destination.

After the blinding light vanished, Illiya imdiately realized that sothing about his current position was not right.

The sound of rushing wind filled his ears, and cold air slipped through the gaps in his clothing, causing goosebumps to rise all over his body.

Sothing was definitely wrong.

It seed like they were falling.

Illiya struggled to open his eyes, brushing away strands of hair stuck to his face. He had no choice but to accept the reality that they were indeed falling from a great height.

Help! Could it be that the Land Between had just "spat" them out from the sky?

Suddenly, he understood why his teacher had warned him so many tis not to go to the sky race unless absolutely necessary.

What elf could endure sothing so terrifying every ti they visited the sky race?

While plumting freely through the sky, Illiya suddenly had a revelation, a great awakening.

The words of one’s elders should be heeded.

They might not always make sense, but they could definitely save your life.

No wonder his teacher never ntioned anything about the sky race.

Who would want to share such an embarrassing story as having foolishly stepped into sky territory, only to undergo an extre sport experience before even entering?

Let alone any ordinary person, even more so the elf king and his teacher.

Strange and random thoughts drifted through Illiya’s mind. The turbulent air from the rapid descent jolted him back to clarity. Before thinking about more nonsense, the first thing to do was to survive.

Illiya narrowed his eyes and moved his fingers slightly.

Pale green light flickered and danced at his fingertips.

In the blink of an eye, the green lights gathered into glowing strands that floated behind Illiya.

They crossed and wove into a pair of translucent pale green wings of magical energy.

With a flap of the wings, Illiya managed to halt his descent.

Applying a bit of force, he stabilized himself and hovered midair.

Drow was in the sa situation, though he had managed to steady himself much earlier than Illiya.

Once he realized what was happening, he had originally intended to help his distracted soul-bonded companion.

However, he hesitated for a mont, and in that brief pause, he saw that Illiya had already stabilized himself, leaving no room for him to intervene.

Looking at his soul-bonded companion hovering steadily in midair, Drow’s hands twitched slightly by his sides.

A brief flash of disappointnt passed through his eyes.

Illiya did not notice his companion’s subtle reaction, his mind still lingering on the recent experience. "I finally understand why my teacher never spoke about the sky race. So there was a hidden reason behind it. But thinking about it, who would go around saying, ’Oh, I almost fell to my death last ti I went to the sky race’? That’s just begging to be laughed at."

Drow... Drow nodded in agreent.

Whatever his bonded companion said was correct.

Just nodding in approval would suffice.

Illiya sighed and looked around, hoping to find a path to the sky territory.

Unfortunately, all he could see was a vast expanse of emptiness with nothing in sight.

"This is a bit of a problem," Illiya sighed again.

"What’s the problem?" A clear voice suddenly rang out from behind them.

Illiya’s back stiffened imdiately.

When had soone appeared behind them?

If that person had not spoken, Illiya would never have noticed they were there.

Now they had no way of knowing whether the person behind them ant well or ill.

This was definitely trouble...

"Who are you?" Illiya remained tense, not daring to make any sudden moves.

Their current situation was one of weakness against strength and he could only begin calculating an escape strategy in his mind.

Turning over a few ideas, he cautiously continued, "Your Excellency..."

Before he could finish, the person behind them spoke again in confusion. "Hmm... I may not be the most handso sky among my kind, but I’m not so ugly that you’d be afraid to look at , right?"

Illiya: "..."

Wait, sothing felt off here.

Sky race?!

When they heard this sentence, both Illiya and Drow turned around slowly.

Once they saw the figure behind them and more importantly, the large white wings on his back that were still shedding feathers, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

The skyan: "..."

Don’t think I didn’t notice you were staring at my wings!

"I ca here especially to pick you up," the skyan said, his tone airy, though his expression showed little change. "Let introduce myself. My na is Nigun Grid Luin. I am a skyan. The reason I am here waiting for you is because of divine will."

Actually no, in reality, it was because a certain parental figure nagged him into it, but he could not say that.

"I have a vague idea of why you’re here, so you don’t need to worry. I will answer your questions. The sky race has always been a peaceful and helpful kind of people."

Actually no, if he had not been threatened, he would never have co.

"So please, go ahead and ask your questions."

After hearing Nigun’s words, Illiya fell into deep thought.

It was not that he doubted the man, but when he heard the na Nigun, he imdiately believed most of what the skyan said.

Anyone who had read books would know the na of the current High Priest of the sky race.
