There wasn't a lot of blood so people didn't make a big commotion. So swore that the great Gilbert Blakeson fell all on his own. There were already phones out, taking pictures and videos of the embarrassing mont.

It was truly sothing that caused Gilbert to snap. Not only his son suffered because of the man's son, him too and now the boys father was doing the sa. It was a very bitter truth to swallow.

Trent ran to his master's side. He saw everything that happened, mostly because he was already keeping an eye on him. The Blakeson Butler saw just how fast the fist connected with the jaw and he was helpess, he felt like a useless old man.

"Master, are you alright?" The concern in his voice was evident, he could see the danger that was in his master's eye so he held him by the arm.

Gilbert however didn't hear that, he couldn't. His focus was on the man nonchalantly sitting in front of him, his back turned — nothing else existed.

It was too much to process, that this was the sa man who would licked his behind every chance he got back when he was still his employee.

The sa man he bullied and stole from. That sa man was unrecognisable in the eyes of Gilbert. The change was abrupt therefore unexpected and foreign.

Gilbert was born into old money, he didn't understand the thought process of those he deed below him. He only understood that the rich people's greed made those negatively affected great followers.

Unbeknown to him it made them great pretenders too. People who would do just about anything to feed their families—breaking or bending their moral standards. It was all about survival to them.

That was life in the slums, life Sekani was working tirelessly to change. Another thing he was taking from the rich, it made Gilbert see red with rage.

He was this close to making Sanctauri his own kingdom. And so slum rat ca and destroyed that, anyone would be understandably angry.

"Master, people are watching. Please compose yourself." Trent told him in a whisper.

The fact that people were watching and they were being recorded brought him back to his senses. He closed his eyes and managed quick breaths to calm his anger. Definitely harder to quell his anger in public, he was used to throwing things around.

Sekani could feel the eyes boring onto his head but that's all Gilbert would ever do to him. Looks couldn't kill so he was safe and happy. With the information of the sanctum coming to light, he reckoned the rich won't be behind the curtain for long.

He chuckled at the thought. Three generations of his family working tirelessly to bring humanity back to Sanctauri. It was a proud mont for everyone involved, well the liberators.

Just then, Wilfred walked in. He'd heard the commotion, even though he was confident that his master would be alright. He still felt an obligation to co in and check.

When Gilbert turned around for the door the two's eyes t. Fear set in twisting his stomach into knots. The man who stood before him was the ghost of Christmas past.

He hadn't expected to see the man he ordered to be killed many years ago. Wilfred hadn't changed much except for so wrinkles here and there. Even Trent appeared to be uncomfortable at seeing him walk in.

With their eyes eting and seeing the fear in Gilbert's eyes, he simply smiled. A cold sinister smile and tipped his head to acknowledge their presence.

"Sir, are you alright?" His voice was calm and serene, more than Sekani had ever heard.

"I'm not totally helpless Wilfred, you know? I'm alright. You can find a table around here, I imagined being that far from us sets you on edge."

Wilfred wanted to laugh out loud with happiness. He never in his line of work thought he'd once get a boss like this, not much was communicated but he understood him well.

"Yes Sir!" He turned to sit on the other side of the restaurant.

He'd reserved two tables, one for them and one for himself but when they didn't invite him in, he decided to give him their ti alone. Wilfred was a man who loved planning, this was no different.

The table he chose was far enough that he wouldn't be on their peripheral but close enough that they were always in his line of vision. Enjoy exclusive chapters from empire

Dumbfounded, the two decided their ti in the establishnt was over. Gilbert wouldn't feel good eating where soone he now despised with all of his ate.

"Would expect nothing less from animals." He mumbled walking away and towards the door, Gilbert knew very well that he couldn't defeat the man even if he tried.

The fact that he was very drunk didn't exactly tip the odds in his favour. Sekani Waynworth had a deadly bodyguard with him and he didn't seem to be helpess either.

'What's he doing here anyway? Shouldn't he be 6 feet under Sanctauri? I suppose his nickna 'Shadow' suits him.' Trent couldn't get him out of his mind.

Inside the restaurant, Freya had to collect her jaw on the floor. She always thought that there were no secrets between them, but she didn't know about this one thing about her own husband.

"It's not sothing I'm proud of." Sekani explained before the questions started. "I didn't an to keep it from you."

It was true, training under his father strained their father and son relationship. So much that Sekani grew to despise the skill he was taught.

"Could've at least told about it!" Her face was unreadable.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. Are you angry with ?"

"Angry with you? I don't understand it either, I absolutely do not condone violence but that right there made you more attractive sohow."

She blushed, "I didn't know you could get anymore attractive."

Sekani held back a laugh, he took her hand and kissed it. "Thank you for choosing ."

"In every lifeti."

The ti away from their family was not interrupted again, the rest of the evening was great. They vowed to do sothing like this at least once a month.
