EP.33 His Night is Long and Profound
Demons prowled within dreams, hunting their prey.
Among the entities most commonly known to people were succubus and incubus.
They fed on human vitality through dreams, yet throughout history, humans were not always abundant. There were tis of severe population decline due to plagues and frequent wars.
During those tis, like other monsters, they resorted to cannibalism, succubus preying on incubus or vice versa.
However, with stability prevailing, those seeking to cannibalize their own kind vanished.
There was simply no reason for them to struggle to consu each other when they could easily feed on weak humans.
“Promising.”
But there was one who had engaged in cannibalism, which had not been talked for a long ti. a particular incubus nad ‘Lucaros’.
Lucaros was the master of an incubus dungeon.
It wasn’t a massive dungeon, yet neither was it small. It held a decent size and maintained a considerable influence.
And not long ago, Lucaros received a ssage from the overseer of the Demon rchant.
It was a request to handle just one succubus.
Lucaros accepted without much thought.
His contact, Jewel, held a significant position within the Demon rchant.
Helping now might secure advantageous terms for future dealings, settling debts in due course.
Such debts could pave the way for better trades with the Demon rchant later on.
This, in turn, would facilitate the dungeon’s developnt.
Moreover, as the dungeon master, his own power would surge with its advancent, elevating the status of his subordinates.
In the structure where the master’s power rise ant a rise for the underlings, there was no entity that would oppose the developnt of the dungeon.
And the dungeon’s developnt required the Demon rchant.
Ultimately, it was a recurring tale following the previous narratives.
Hence, Lucaros willingly accepted Jewel’s request and was currently on his way, not particularly keen on incurring debts.
Recently, Lucaros felt bored and welcod so change.
“it’s been a long ti since I had succubus.”
Lucaros’s expression was cold yet arrogant.
According to Jewel, the succubus was the master of a small, new dungeon.
That implied he could easily overpower the succubus and drain its vitality.
“Is this the place?”
Lucaros soon entered a mountain range.
Though disguised in a human form, being fundantally a monster, he had no concerns about physical stamina.
In fact, he was eagerly racing toward the location Jewel had disclosed, driven by the desire to quickly subdue his opponent.

However, a sudden gust of wind halted Lucaros in his tracks.
The pleasantly blowing breeze caused flowers and leaves to dance gracefully.
The chirping of birds delighted the ears and uplifted the mood.
It felt as though the wind was infusing him with passion and vitality.
“Ah… should I consider having a dungeon in a place like this too?”
Perhaps plundering the succubus’s dungeon would be one way to go.
The place was undeniably beautiful and enchanting enough to spark such thoughts in his mind.
While lost in thought, soone approached.
“Oh, are you an adventurer?”
Lucaros turned to face the speaker.
‘An adventurer?’
The attire suggested as much, and most importantly, it was a woman.

Despite his appearance, he seed like an average adventurer with no exceptional abilities.
Considering she hadn’t recognized him while he was disguised as a human, she probably wasn’t worth much attention.
However, Lucaros was an incubus.
He couldn’t just let such a fresh and appetizing prey pass by unattended.
He smiled and engaged the adventurer in conversation.
“Hehe, I was just about to head to a nearby dungeon. Would you care to accompany ?”
There was a sticky quality to Lucaros’s words.
It felt both forced and comfortable, yet at the sa ti, an unfamiliar emotion arose.
“Yes, sure!”
The adventurer smiled, agreeing.
‘Good.’
The woman in front of him would serve as a final treat after succumbing to the succubus.
With a sly grin, Lucaros led the adventurer, who was unwittingly his, towards his goal.
Eventually, they reached the vicinity of the dungeon he aid for.
“Is this it?”
A cave was hidden among the trees.
Looks alone, it seed really unimpressive.
Is this what they call a dungeon?
‘Too small?’
At this rate, it seed it could be easily conquered, even if it weren’t his own. Perhaps it would be better for the succubus opponent. If caught by him, one would likely just have their vitality drained and be ridiculed, but if captured by a human, it wouldn’t end there. If lucky, one could cleanly et their end.

Unease began to seep into Lucaros’ mind.

Lucaros thought to take advantage of the adventurer in front of him. Perhaps the dungeon’s master desired that too. If he quietly consud the human and left, the master wouldn’t interfere.
The adventurer continued walking until suddenly stopping in place.
“Lucaros, shall we do it here?”
She unexpectedly made the first move.
Similar to Lucaros, her words were soaked with desire.
“Ha….”
Lucaros’s lips curved upwards.
It was an occasional occurrence.
When a female with an incubus was in heat and made the first move.
‘But did I give her my na?’
He couldn’t recall.

The tone of the adventurer had changed.
And most importantly.
The adventurer’s voice wasn’t coming from in front but from behind.

Then, what was this presence in front of him now?
Lucaros tightly shut his eyes, then slowly opened them.
The being he had been sensually touching wasn’t the female adventurer.
“…A spider?”
It was a giant spider.

He was desperate.

Hope flickered in Lucaros’ face.
