As he was facing not one but 2 rank 4 mages, Lansorek did not want to take any risks. He was also aware of Lopas' identity as the daughter of a high ranking noble family. So he was well aware that the punishnt he would receive for misleading them would definitely be harsh.
For that reason, the best solution that ca to Lansorek's mind was to run away. If he stayed hidden for a year or two then he was sure that this incident would die down. So after thinking about everything thoroughly, Lansorek found that running away would definitely be the best choice for him.
Imdiately after making his decision, he left his house in a hurry using a secret passage. He had made this secret passage while keeping a situation like this in mind. This passage directly took him out of the city.
Not only this passage but Lansorek also had a high speed magic vehicle ready to bring him out of the place. So he was perfectly ready to make his escape. But still Lansorek also moved very fast as he did not want to take any risk when he was against rank 4 mages.
His journey through the secret passage was very smooth and in no ti he was able to reach his little secret base. But after reaching this place, instead of feeling happy, Lansorek felt true despair as Rein and his girls were already waiting their with two mbers of the secret service. Even after trying his best, Lansorek was still caught.
...
As soon as Rein teleported to the house, he and Lopas imdiately got busy capturing all the people. Very soon all of them were trapped inside a golden pillar that Lopas had created with her affinity. This whole process took less than five minutes.
Then while waiting for Luna to bring in the royal secret service as witnesses, Rein started to interrogate them. With his physic affinity, she send the sensation of pain to the brains of the n with a magic spell and to stop that torture they were forced to answer any questions that Rein had for them.
So of them did try to lie with their answers but Rein was able to easily see through all that with his powerful eye of truth. So lying did not work for those n and just gave them more pain.
When Luna finally arrived with the secret service, Rein was almost done with the interrogation. So he was imdiately able to describe the whole plot to the secret service officers and handed over the captured people to them.
After verifying the information given by Rein with their own truth detecting chanism, the secret service were also extrely fast in taking action. After completing all the paperwork, the secret service was ready to arrest the rchant in question.
But just as they were about to raid his ho, Rein stopped them and told that the rchant had run away from his ho. Hearing that the secret service was surprised for a mont but then imdiately believed Rein as he was a rank 4 mage and decided to lock down the city.
But Rein surprised them by telling that he was also aware of the place where he might have gone to. To a surprised secret service mber, he explained that when they were in the rchant's house last ti, he had found a secret passage and when the rchant was running away, there was a very high chance that he would take that route.
Actually that was not completely true and Rein was inspecting Lansorek with his spatial sense. But this was not sothing that a regular rank 4 mage was capable of doing. That was the reason why Rein did not tell them that as in their eyes, he was still a rank 4 mage.
Then Rein teleported his girls and himself alongside two mbers of the secret service to the entrance of the secret passage. He again did not teleport everyone because he was concealing the amount of people his teleportation magic was able to handle. Currently Rein told the secret service that his limit was four people. But as Rein, Lopas and Luna were still young and took up very little space, in this case, he would be able to handle five.
That was how Lansorek's plan failed and he was captured by the secret service. As for his punishnt, that would be decided later on. The secret service would also investigate about his motive behind all this. Rein already have an idea for Lansorek's reason, but he would leave it to the secret service to find out the details about that.
...
This whole mission ended in a disappointing note especially for Lopas. She was really hoping to encounter a real ghost here but that did not happened which was very sad for her. But one good thing that ca out of this whole incident was the fact that Rein was able to buy that large house in question with minimum possible price. He did not really lacked money but at the sa ti, saving whatever amount he could was a good thing.
So while pampering a sad Lopas, Rein and Luna continued going south from the city of Hoan, toward the city of Swevna where they had their next mission.
...
A person wearing torn up clothing was running through the dark alleys of the city of Swevna. This person was holding sothing tightly while running. A group of people were following behind the person with weapons in hand. From the way they moved, it was clear that all of those people were experienced warriors. Not only that but the man in the lead and the only one among the persuers who was not holding any weapon was casting magic identifying himself as a mage.
But even against so many people, the person was sohow able to run away from them. The way this person swiftly navigated the dark alleys, it was clear that this was a very familiar territory for this person. As if to prove that again, soon this person went inside a wall that looked perfectly normal from the outside.
After that person entered the hidden wall, the mage who was responsible for tracking lost that person's presence. He imdiately ordered all the warriors to thoroughly search the whole area. But everything was in vain and they were unable to find the hidden wall.
