Penelope stayed longer than she intended to at the gathering, and after parting ways with Priscilla, she decided to go ho.

Penelope thought of Tabitha and Faye on her way ho. Both needed to be dealt with.

Luckily, the won from today would speak of what Faye said, so Penelope didn’t need to trouble herself with Faye. Faye did a swell job at ruining herself.

The issue remained with finding a good punishnt for Tabitha.

As the carriage rode through the gates, Penelope prepared herself to face Tyrion.

"Matilda, go ahead to find my husband. Tell him to co to right away since it is urgent," Penelope said, wanting to get right to it.

Matilda didn’t question Penelope’s order and exited the carriage as soon as it stopped to find Tyrion.

Penelope stepped out of the carriage with Brendon’s help. "Thank you," she said, letting go of his hand. "You may go to the kitchen to have sothing warm prepared and rest since I don’t have another outing for the day. I should write to Julie and ask that she visit ," Penelope said, only to tease Brendon.

"Please do not," Brendon said, in desperate need of a break from his younger sister. "Fortunately, she has spoken of wanting to go to the border."

Penelope frowned. "Julie has? Why?"

"She claims she needs a better understanding of herself, and a trip would do just that. Our parents are not in favour of it since she would be too far out of sight. Every day, my sister thinks of ways to worry our mother, and she succeeds with this," Brendon said, shaking his head.

"I am surprised yet also not very surprised. The incident with Rue brought them closer. You should keep a close eye on Julie. She already faces trouble with your grandmother," Penelope reminded Brendon.

"I warned her to stop seeking acceptance from our grandmother. Excuse ," Brendon said, getting out of the way as Tyrion ca to Penelope.

"You are back later than you said you would return. Was the gathering fun? Penelope?" Tyrion called, yet to get her attention.

"What? Oh, I didn’t hear you. I’m sorry," Penelope apologised as she looked away from Brendon.

"I asked if it was fun. Matilda said you had sothing important to share with . Did sothing happen?" Tyrion asked, taking notice of everyone’s expression.

There was always cause for concern when Penelope t with other ladies.

"Yes, but I must speak to you in private," Penelope said, holding Tyrion’s hand.

"You’re scaring ," Tyrion said, but he walked with Penelope to their chamber.

Once inside, Penelope sat Tyrion done on the bed.

"The punishnt for your grandmother didn’t work. She is the one behind Faye approaching us, and Faye was present today, along with Cassidy. I have been rather patient waiting for soone to put an end to this," Penelope said, unable to hold back her feelings.

How long was Penelope to put up with this?

"I hate for you to lose your grandmother, but I cannot guarantee it will not be the outco if my father hears of what happened today. All I did was marry you, yet I have beco soone Tabitha hates with all her heart. I cannot ignore that she pushes another lady to be with you," Penelope said.

Either Tyrion would take care of it, or Penelope wouldn’t have any other choice but to go to her father.

"I gave my father the chance to have her end this, yet nothing changed. I apologise for not taking care of it myself," Tyrion said, angry with himself for failing Penelope.

Tyrion stood up from the bed. "Stay here. I will try to be back by dinner," he said, kissing Penelope’s forehead.

Penelope held onto Tyrion’s hand so he wouldn’t leave just yet. "Are you going to speak with your father?"

If Tyrion intended to kill Tabitha, then his father should know.

"No. He’ll speak of sending her away. Don’t worry," Tyrion replied, his mind not focused on his father.

Penelope couldn’t help worrying.

"I am going to have a talk with her, which is not to be disturbed by anyone. She was sent an invitation to both the wedding and the coronation, yet she did not attend because she couldn’t get her way."

"First, it’ll be you, then Juliette, then Hailey, before going back to my mother," Tyrion said, removing Penelope’s hold on his arm as he spoke.

Penelope followed Tyrion as he walked out of the room.

Penelope supported Tyrion going to end this fight with Tabitha, but she wondered if his father should know of his plans.

"Your father, he won’t be upset with us, right?" Penelope asked, not wanting this to create a rift. "By no ans am I trying to stop you from going to her, but I don’t want your father to be surprised. May I write to him?"

"You may, but it changes nothing. I will be back soon," Tyrion said, leaving Penelope’s side.

Penelope didn’t bother to follow Tyrion this ti. She didn’t feel any remorse since Tabitha had brought this upon herself.

Tabitha had created the storm coming her way.

anwhile, across the town, Tabitha sat with Faye.

Faye’s visit was unexpected and brought nothing good for Tabitha to hear.

"I gave you the push you needed, and you failed . I had high hopes for you," Tabitha said, disappointed.

Faye frowned. She did not make the long journey to Tabitha’s ho to hear this.

"What?" Faye asked, certain she had heard wrong. "I said the ladies want to make out to be a mistress. That is not the lady I am. I am following your wishes."

Tabitha chuckled. "Is it only my wish? You have always been so eager to beco a princess, but you weren’t around the ti I needed you, so he ran off with that girl. I said you should try your luck. When did I ever say you should speak openly about him?"

Since when did ladies not know how to act in silence and only speak when they got what they wanted?

"You ruined yourself, and along with it, you brought up my na. Why didn’t you take the advice to go find yourself a gentleman instead of travelling hours to see ? I can’t do anything for you," said Tabitha.

Tabitha wasn’t in the palace these days to help Faye find a husband, and quite frankly, it was not her responsibility.

"Go ho to your mother and continue your search for a husband. I had hoped the best for you and my grandson, but that has passed-"

"You said you would support if I got the prince’s attention. That it didn’t matter if I were to beco his woman because it is what royals do. You said I would be protected, so I went there today, prepared to put Penelope in her place," Faye said, her voice travelling far outside the room.

"Anyone who cannot win against her does not have my support. You may go," Tabitha said, uninterested in Faye.

Faye lost her worth when she lost to Penelope.
