Unbeknownst to Peter, a carriage carrying the man he never wished to see again was on its way to the church. It was a long ride to get to Peter, but Edgar didn’t mind it.

In the carriage, Tyrion sat on one side while Edgar and Elijah decided to take the other.

Tyrion stared at the father and son, who looked more like each other now that they were so close.

"Stop staring at us," Elijah said.

"You’ll have to remove my eyes if you want to stop. I was just thinking how much you look like which parent you stand decide. You spent so much ti being coddled by the duchess that I always thought you resembled her more," said Tyrion.

"Don’t you two have anything better to speak about?" Edgar asked, annoyed already. "Have you decided what to do with your money? You can’t leech off my daughter forever."

"My father has placed land in my na, and it has co with so riches. In ti, Penelope and I will move closer to that land. My wife will be well cared for. Always," Tyrion spoke confidently.

"Of course she will be. She is my daughter," Edgar replied.

"I think you should be less concerned about and worry about Elijah," Tyrion said, placing Elijah in the hot chair. "You have a long ti before you will beco the duke. What will you do until then?"

"Bastard," Elijah muttered.

"The little prince finally spoke of sothing worth listening to. What will you do?" Edgar asked, turning his attention to Elijah.

"I am following in your footsteps, father. I am allowing couples visiting the town to stay in the ho you offered . I am considering buying another. Perhaps one on your land so it is easier for ," Elijah shared.

"Hmm," Edgar replied.

Elijah couldn’t tell whether it was approval or disapproval from his father’s response.

"Do you not like it?" Elijah asked.

"Why wouldn’t I like it? You are starting to make money on your own. You have long gotten what is owed to you by order of the court. It’s best to make use of it rather than let it sit there. So, you two are not so useless," Edgar said, pleased by what he heard.

"A rare complint by my father-"

"If you refer to as your father once more, you will be exiting this carriage head first as it continues to move. I urge you to open your mouth again," Edgar said, his hand on the carriage door.

The third ti Tyrion called Edgar father, there wouldn’t be a warning. The door would simply open.

Tyrion smiled, placing his right leg over the left to show how comfortable he was. "Penelope said that you adore . Your threats must be your way of showing how much you love ."

"Is that so? Then co close so I can show you how much I adore you," Edgar said.

Tyrion chuckled. "I promised my wife not to push the limits."

Tyrion knew it was ti to quit before he ended up outside.

Edgar looked out the window at the small area Peter had decided to hide in. If Peter truly wanted to go where Edgar couldn’t find him, then he should have left the kingdom.

"That man you two killed. What did he do?" Edgar asked.

Tyrion and Elijah looked at each other.

"What do you an?" Elijah inquired, no one coming to mind.

"Have you killed a lot of n that it is hard for you to rember who you killed? I don’t like anyone tampering with where I put my bodies. You two could have gotten yourself killed," Edgar said, since his guards could have killed them.

Edgar wasn’t interested in sharing with his burial grounds.

"What was his na again? Zane?" Edgar asked.

"He admired Penelope a little too much, and it was revealed he was paid to approach her. The person who paid him was killed long before we killed Zane. While Penelope wasn’t my wife then, I wasn’t in the mood to place him in a dungeon," said Tyrion.

Edgar was impressed by Tyrion. "So people need to be dealt with in the mont so they don’t bother you later. Well done."

Tyrion didn’t comnt on the proper complint from Edgar since he was confident Edgar would take it back.

"You must hide them better. What has beco of Warren? Mark is now searching for him, so you must be careful," Edgar warned Tyrion.

"He is quiet now that he has settled in. He is still alive, but he cannot see," Tyrion revealed.

Edgar looked away from the window to Tyrion. "Why can’t he see?" He asked.

"Because he wouldn’t behave. If you want him back so you can hand him over to the court, I’m afraid we won’t see eye to eye now. He’s finally comfortable where he rests now."

"I am not going to take him back. I am asking you to be careful. Mark will be suspicious of , but he might look into you both. Be careful who you speak about Warren to," said Edgar.

Edgar spotted the church, and as the carriage neared the church steps, he looked for the face he had co all the way here for.

There were priests outside, but so far, Peter was nowhere in sight.

Edgar exited the carriage without waiting for his guards.

It was peaceful here, which Edgar assud was the reason Peter ca so far.

Tyrion and Elijah followed behind Edgar.

They had only just arrived, yet they gathered attention.

Part of it was due to Tyrion’s noticeable features, but the flag with a falcon was well-known to belong to the duke.

Edgar entered the church with pure intentions to pray. He passed the priests who spoke of donations and walked further into the church.

Edgar hoped he wouldn’t need to leave the church and go to Peter’s ho. It would ruin the arrangent he once had with Peter since he always visited Peter at a church.

After a mont of looking around, Edgar thought he had no other choice but to go to the ho where Tyrion found Peter, but luck was on his side today.

"My trees are blessing with plenty of fruit. I’ll co again- No!" Peter gasped, dropping the basket he carried.

Peter rubbed his eyes, hoping his lack of sleep was playing tricks on him.

Edgar approached Peter. The terror in Peter’s eyes brought up sweet mories. He missed the hobby of showing up once in a while to frighten Peter and checking that Peter had not gone back to his old ways.

"Hello, Peter," Edgar greeted the old fool.

Peter slowly moved his hands to get a better look. "It’s ti," he said, giving up.

Peter didn’t have any fight left in him. He knelt on the floor, ready for what he always knew was coming.

"Just get it over with," Peter begged Edgar.
