King Pierre’s lips thinned when he heard Bree’s response, because even though Bree didn’t say anything rude, it was clear that she had made her stance known. She was not going to accept any demands that she found upsetting. He glanced at Cian before saying to him, "I believe that my daughter might have told you that her husband, who was not her true mate, if I might add, broke the bond because he was having a hard ti getting close to her."

He interlocked his fingers and set them on the table before adding, "It’s due to the fact that my daughter was once kidnapped and tornted in ways one can only imagine and she has a hard ti getting close to a man. She told that this was what she had told you."

Cian straightened up but he didn’t recall anything. Omar had only asked him to accompany that woman long enough to charm her and make her the decisive factor for the alliance. But he had paid no attention to what she was talking about.

He could only shrug his shoulders and remark, "I vaguely rember it."

"Vaguely," the fox shifter’s expression tightened even more and his lips beca even thinner. Cian never knew that it was possible but as he watched King Pierre lean back and cross his leg over the other, he realised that the shifters abilities were far greater than he expected.

"Well, my daughter has always been very hesitant about getting close to a man but as my only heir, she needs a child, one who could take over the throne and rule over this fief. Even though this fief is sothing that your grandfather passed on to , this place is sothing that I have protected with my blood and tears," King Pierre said to Bree, who sighed inwardly as she rembered that this man in front of her was her distant uncle.

"I do understand what you are trying to say." Bree had no idea why she and her mates were called here to talk about the fact that King Pierre’s daughter couldn’t have a child with a man as she feared intimacy. "But if your daughter has a problem with getting intimate with n; she needs a doctor and not us, King Pierre."

"Do you want to open her scar in front of the entire world by telling a doctor what she has gone through!?" King Pierre smashed his fist on the armrest and questioned Bree, "If you were in her shoes, then what would you have done?"

"King Pierre!" Yakov stepped forward but Bree raised her hand and stopped the man from losing his cool. She then turned to look at King Pierre and stated in a calm voice, "If I were in her place, then I would have certainly made the world know who did it to and I would have paraded the n through the streets as well because I wasn’t the one who was in the wrong that I will need to hide myself and refuse the treatnt that I need."

She had seen such a thing happening many tis in her past life; even when she was harassed by n, they asked her to let go of the matter as they were worried that her reputation would be ruined. However, Bree often wondered why her reputation would be ruined just because she filed a complaint? It wasn’t her who made the mistake, right?

King Pierre clenched his fists when he heard her response. He thought that Bree, as a woman, would understand what he was trying to say, except he forgot that this woman was the iron empress of the empire. There was no way she could understand the pain of his poor daughter.

"Then I have to say her majesty is really one strong woman," King Pierre curled his lips and remarked. "Anyway, the reason I called you and your fourth consort here is because I read sowhere that sirens can make n or won forget all about their personal feelings when they are determined to seduce them. And apparently, that’s what you did to my daughter that night —she for the first ti felt attracted to a man."

Cian raised his head and stared at the man as if he had gone crazy. He shook his head and denied at once, "I have no idea what your daughter has told you but I did not seduce her on that night. We rely chatted and I left her without even touching a strand of her hair."

King Pierre narrowed his eyes and he stated, "I believe my daughter and know her well enough to know that she would never lie to . She told that you were the first man she has felt attracted to after that accident and if you turn that charm of yours on her once again, maybe she will be able to have a child with you. I don’t think it will bother you because as a siren, you must have done this many tis before, right?"

"And as you are not mated to her majesty completely, this shouldn’t pose a problem for either of you."

What kind of nonsense was this man even spouting? King Pierre’s world left the beast within him growling and hissing. He couldn’t believe that Rosalie had lied to her father and claid that he had turned his charm on her when he had done no such thing.

However, refuting such claims was difficult when he was born as a siren.

Even so, Cian raised his fins and then refused to accept sothing that he had not done. "I don’t know what your daughter, Rosalie, has told you but there was no such thing as seducing her. I will not do such a foolish thing. Siren seduction is not as simple as you think it is; if I had seduced her that night, I could have made you sign away your fief! But since you are still the king and the fief is still under control...I did not do anything to your daughter."

"If she has sothing to say otherwise, then bring her here and I will ask her how I seduced her when I clearly don’t rember doing such a thing."
