" I...I have committed a deadly sin," The Duke slamd his head on the floor, he needed to get out of this predicant as quickly as posies because if he does not then he will be killed here and now!!
" My, My..."Blaise snickered as he looked at the Duke who was lowering his head in front of Bree and then spoke in a jolly voice, " The duke just now asked the Queen to have rcy on him and now he is saying that he has committed a deadly sin, so what do you think first consort what should be done to him? Should he be killed or should he be shown rcy?"
Yakov turned to look at Blaise with his eyebrows raised, his expression seed to be saying, ’ Do not act so close to .’ Blaise only poked his tongue out as he made a kissing motion causing Yakov’s face to turn red in humiliation, he turned to look at the Duke and said with a stern voice, " I think that he shouldn’t be shown any kind of rcy. Poisoning the Queen is enough to have his head roll on the ground even if we were not to ntion the things that he has done."
" You heard my consorts, Duke," Bree said as she looked at the Duke whose face was devoid of any blood. " You drugged and tried to harm , this is sothing that we cannot forget."
" I...I was wrong your majesty!" Duke Cilantro once again knocked his head on the floor again as he cried miserably. " Just give one chance, just one ... I promise that this ti I will change my ways."
" Ah, are you trying to say that you cannot hear what I am telling you?" Bree scowled as she looked at the man whose entire body was trembling. " You broke the imperial laws, laws as in plural, not one or two laws where you have a leeway to wriggle for space."
She then walked close to the Duke until his head was resting at the tip of her shoes and then added, " And on top of that you even imprisoned unique species that are to be protected, tell why and what were you planning to do with them?"
Duke Cilantro did not say a word, he knew that if he was to answer that question he will only lose his life even faster. He swallowed nervously and then clenched his fingers, his head a ss as he tried to think of a way to get out of this situation.
If he had known that this would happen, he would have never underestimated the queen but everything was done and now even if he had regrets in his heart there was nothing he could do.
" Are you not going to answer?" Bree asked in a cold voice seeing that the Duke was not speaking, she then turned to look at the other nobles who were tied together with the Duke and said in a soft voice, " Now, if you don’t answer then I will have to ask others."
When the nobles saw that Bree was heading their way, they imdiately felt a bad feeling rise in their hearts. They all lowered their heads and then shouted, " Your majesty, we have no idea! We haven’t even gotten together with the Duke for a long ti. It was only because he told us that her majesty was coming to his territory that we ca to see him, otherwise we wouldn’t have co to see a man as corrupted as Duke."
" Oh," Bree turned to look at the nobles who were speaking and then glanced at them lightly one by one, noting the face of the nobles who were speaking against the Duke like they had no idea what the Duke was doing. They were trying to shirk responsibility by pushing the Duke to the edge of the cliff. What frivolous thoughts they had in their heads.
" Are you all saying that you did not have any idea what the Duke was trying to do by capturing the rare creatures?" She asked the nobles who were backstabbing the Duke with their words. " Is that what you are saying?"
" That’s right, your majesty. We have no idea what the Duke was doing, we didn’t even know that the Duke has captured a pair of Phoenix offspring." The nobles who were trying to wash their hands off from the case replied fervently. " We had no idea, please trust us, your majesty."
" If that is the case then all I can say is that you all are even more negligent than the Duke," stated Bree with a smile as she dragged her flaming swords towards the nobles who were trying their best to get away from the situation. " You all are the officials of this territory and yet you had no idea what the leader of your territory was doing...then who gave you the right to sit in the seat of the officials? What were you doing when your leader was corrupting the territory? Sleeping?"
" Your majesty——-" The nobles tried to say sothing as an excuse but Bree did not care about them instead she turned to look at Blaise and then motioned him to bring the docunts that they have prepared for the nobles with her eyes.
"I understand, your majesty." Blaise bowed his head and then waved his hand such that the docunts that were sitting next to the one that they have handed to the Duke, and watched them fall in front of the nobles and flipped them to where it stated the na of the nobles who were involved with the Duke.
When the nobles saw their nas in the docunts along with their signatures, they all turned to look at the Duke, their eyes spewing fire. They all thought that they were going to sohow manage this situation and save their lives but looks like the Duke has made sure that if he was to die then he will drag them together with him.
