Xi Xue crumpled the letter and threw it to the floor. The guy’s face turned dark.

"Ah, so you’re here." The ignorant Xi Xue chuckled. He walked to the girl’s bed and sat down, not knowing anything that he did wrong.
"Why did you suddenly leave, ah? Are you mad, hm?" Xi Xue leaned closer to Bíng Huo’s body. The guy then slowly tugged the girl’s blanket, hoping to see her face.
He just tugged on the blanket when Bíng Huo’s hand popped out. Her small hand suddenly moved.
SLAP!
"Don’t touch , you cheater!" Bíng Huo shouted without showing her face. The girl slapped Xi Xue’s hand away and snuggled to her bed. She tightened the blanket around her and refused to let Xi Xue see her.

Xi Xue’s jaw dropped to the floor. He looked down at his red, stinging palm with eyes full of confusion.
’What the heck? Why is she suddenly angry?? I just went to check the package, and she’s already angry??’
"Hey, what’s with you? Did I do anything wrong?" Xi Xue furrowed his eyebrows. The man stretched his hand toward Bíng Huo’s head, but the girl covered her head with the blanket.
"You cheater, " Bíng Huo murmured again in a hoarse voice. She bit her lips and hugged her arms.
"...cheater?" Xi Xue paused. He retracted his hand and tilted his head. "What are you talking about? I didn’t cheat on you. I didn’t even et other won–"
"Then what about that box??" Bíng Huo suddenly shouted. The girl tossed her blanket and rose. She looked at Xi Xue with red eyes as tears slowly slid down her cheek.
BA-THUMP.
Xi Xue’s heart skipped a beat. The man suddenly felt a stinging pain attacking his heart, and it was really suffocating.
"Huo Huo– "
"Why did you get that package from another woman? The ice eagle. Your previous wife-to-be. Are you two that close until she gives you a package out of the blue??"
Bíng Huo’s chest went up and down. The girl rubbed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"I– I know that I am just half-vampire and half-human, b-but I am your wife. Why can’t I know the things between you and that ice eagle?" Bíng Huo bit her lips. Her shoulders trembled as she suddenly backed off.

Xi Xue’s heart sunk. His pupils darkened. The guy didn’t know why, but he felt this urge to grab Bíng Huo and knock so senses to her head.
Still, he couldn’t do anything. He could only grit his teeth, clenched his jaw, and sighed.
"Listen." The guy ruffled his black hair and slowly climbed the bed.
CREAK.
"No– you anie– "
"Listen to first!" Xi Xue shouted. His sudden shout startled Bíng Huo. The girl flinched. She subconsciously hugged her knees.
"X-xue Xue..." Bíng Huo bit her lips. The girl buried her head on her knees as she mumbled the man’s na.
"Are you angry? Am I hateful? I’m toxic, right? I..."
