Neriah rested in their bed chamber, she could feel his soft caress on her bare shoulders, a soft kiss, followed by a series of sweet whispers. She buries her head into his chest and he holds her closer.

Her protruding stomach presses against his and the child in her moves like it wishes to jump out of her stomach that very instant.

"Barak," She whispers his na into the air as he holds her and sings a sweet Tragonian lullaby to their restless child. And the sound of his voice singing with such endearnt was soothing to not just their child, but to her too.

She nestled into his arms and his na left her lips one last ti, "Barak."

And with that call, Neriah awoke with a start from the sweet dream that had overwheld her.

From her dreamland, she had sensed a presence in her room and to her shock, it was the man in her dreams who was seated by the edge of the bed staring at her.

Startled, Neriah jerks to sit up, forgetting her pregnant condition for a minute but the pain that followed her impulsive movent reminded her once again of her condition.

Only a few seconds later did she realize that Barak was close to her, holding her shoulders and asking, "A_are you alright?"

Neriah looks up at him in shock, was he worried for her? She wondered as she silently stared at him.

Slowly,Barak’s hands slips down from her shoulders and he withdraws from her.

Silently they both sat there, Barak just staring at the ground beneath his feet and Neriah staring at the side of his face still finding it hard to believe that he was really alive.

"You—" He paused and Neriah’s heart thumped as she looked on in expectations. His voice isn’t harsh right now, it’s almost kind so her heart was thumping in hopes that he was finally ready to listen to her.

"When did you find out you were with child?" He asks and Neriah’s heart skipped with excitent.

"Mother told about it after I collapsed that ti I disguised myself as Regina and went into the dungeon." His gaze moves from the ground to her face and she could see a little surprise there.

"My mother knew about it?" He asks.

"Aye. N_not just her, b_but everyone else knew about it before we left for Fortia." She explains and Barak’s eyes opened with realization. So that’s why they were all acting weird and suspicious before he left for Fortia with her.

Once again Barak thought to himself, was the child really his?

"Why didn’t you tell about it? How co everyone else knew but the fa_ the father of the child was kept in the dark?"

Neriah could see the doubt in his expression. He wasn’t hiding that he didn’t believe her yet that he did not trust her yet.

But she could see hope... He didn’t believe her but he was ready to believe her if she gave him a good explanation, a good reason to trust her.

She wanted to do just that.

"I was going to tell you that night, but I was scared of you anger that night. You were already mad at for going into the dungeon and endangering myself. I knew you’d be even more angered if you found out I was with child. S_so I planned to try and quell your anger first and then tell you the news of ou—" She paused, thinking if it was okay to say the work ’our’... "Of our child." She finally says.

"If my mories don’t fail , you successfully quelled my anger that night," He said and Neriah could see how weak he was. He looked as though he had no strength to even continue the conversation he started. "why wasn’t I told then?" He asks further.

"I was going to tell you that morning, but then you told about our trip to Fortia and I thought it would be more special if I told you there. I_ I wanted to prepare sothing special and tell you the news in a more special way. I wanted to make up for disobeying you and going into the dungeon. If I had known things would turn out this way, I would have just told you without all the drama I tried to create."

Dear goddess, let him belive my words Neriah prayed in her heart while looking at his pale face. He was in so much pain, she could tell and Rakavi’s words ca rushing back to her and she wondered again if it could really be possible. If she could really help Barak.

"You—" He pauses and lifts his head and stares into her eyes... She could see the gold of his eyes. They didn’t radiate as they used to. They weren’t as bright as they used to be, probably because the wound in hiss heart was yet to close up.

That was the reason she could not recognize him when he had captured her from Lyle last night. Although those eyes looked familiar, they were not the eyes she rembered.

She wanted to see the light back in those eyes. She wanted to see those eyes sparkle bright like they used to.

"Tell ." He suddenly says. "From how you t that bastard before you t to how you fell in love with him. To how you tried to climb over the fence that fateful night to et . Tell all you planned and how you planned it. Tell the things you talked about and exchanged in your letters with him throughout our marriage. You say you love , so tell when the love for that bastard started to fade and when your love for began to bloom. Tell why you kept on seeing him if you really loved . Tell the things you did and did not do with him. Tell how he was in Fortia and how I ended up in this state."

"Tell ... Riah." Neriah’s heart broke in a million pieces as he called her na with such pain in his breath. She’d so long missed him calling her that na that tears began to flow down her face.

"Explain everything to without omitting a thing. Give all the reasons to believe your words. Tell everything because I_ I desperately want to believe you."
