Cali and Rui went back to country D and the couple decided to stay at Luo’s residence. Rui felt more at ease staying there because Cali would not be left alone if ever he was not around. At Luo’s residence, she would be taken care of by Nanny Shine and Grandpa Luo well.
After settling down, Rui went back to work at Yang Global Hospital to assist Xander while Cali beca busy with putting up her newly found business. She set up her own bakery and cafe naming it "mories Bakery & Cafe" where she made a lot of customized desserts and cakes.
Everyday Rui would drop his wife off at the bakery and pick her up again in the afternoon.
Today, he was having coffee with Xander as they discussed what changes to be made to further improve the hospital facilities...
"I will spend more ti and be engaged with the Cooper network for a while since I was just appointed as its new CEO. Besides, this election is total chaos so I have to make sure that Uncle won’t be cheated in the Presidency..." Xander muttered.
Keira’s father, Uncle Troy, was a candidate for the Presidency and his opponent was apparently sohow who had a lot of tricks up his sleeve to make sure he would win.
He had to use his power over the dia to make sure that the election would be fair and unbiased.
"So I will leave everything to you while I will focus on assisting Keira..." Xander added and Rui nodded in understanding.
Xander chuckled rembering sothing and could not help but comnt, "Do you know that your father is begging to let you go so that you would stop working here at Yang Group?"
Rui’s face crumpled and mumbled, "Yeah... He keeps bugging too. It’s because his other two sons will soon drive the company towards bankruptcy due to their incompetence..."
"Are you sure you don’t want to try working there? Dee’s Group is a big company and you have the right over the company..." Xander comnted.
"Nah, I will pass. Managing Yang Global is enough for . I don’t need any more fa nor riches... I just want to focus more on Cali and our baby..." Rui said with sparkling eyes as the image of his lovely wife with her growing belly crept into his mind.
Xander laughed and said, "Wow I’m so proud of you brother. Keep up the good work and make more babies with your wife so that my children will also have a lot more playmates. You see... Yera is pregnant again."
Rui’s eyes widened and he shouted, "Hey man!! You’re so on fire! Congratulations!"
The two then talked more about Xander’s endorsent and a lot of things when Xander noticed Rui looking at the wall clock.
"Geez, I will dismiss you early since your mind and heart is no longer here.. You can go and your wife from her work as you’re clearly longing to see her..." Xander teased as he handed the last endorsent file Rui.
Rui only chuckled. Soon Xander dismissed him and as usual, he excitedly drove to pick-up Cali at her cafe-bakery.
He was greeted by Cali’s employees who inford him that Cali was in her private kitchen working on so new recipe. Cali wanted her privacy whenever she baked since she had the habit of listening to musical instruntal music. She did not want to be disturbed by anyone else except for him of course, since he was the only exception, who was allowed to disturb his wife.
He entered Cali’s so-called den and smiled seeing her wearing her apron and slowly swaying her hips to the soft lody while kneading the bread dough.
He carefully walked towards her and then hugged her from behind surprising her.
Cali stilled for a mont before she smiled feeling her husband’s arms and warmth around her and inhaling his scent which she loved.
"I was to pick you up sweetheart but it seems like I arrived too early," he whispered in her ear. Cali turned around and put her arms on Rui’s neck.
She had the sweetest smile on her face, one that Rui would never get tired of staring at.
"You’re always early to pick up sweetheart. Isn’t it intentional? Maybe you’re missing so much that you cannot wait anymore?" Cali teased before kissing her husband who had that playful grin.
Their kiss deepened but it was interrupted by the ringing of Rui’s phone.
"Answer it first. It seems important," Cali whispered when the ringing did not stop.
Rui, with a crumpled face, picked up his mobile phone while he was silently cursing the intruder who was none other than Xander Yang.
"Co out and let’s have dinner together. We are waiting for you two outside." Xander said on the other line.
"What? Here as in the bakery-cafe?" Rui burst and he could hear Xander’s loud laugh from another line.
"Yes! I an the cafe... You see I started to miss you so easily bro.... Yera also wanted to try Cali’s desserts and dishes. I think she’s craving for them so I decided to bring her here too..."
Rui ended the call and inford Cali that the couple was outside.
"Alright I will start to cook so you go and entertain them for a while, sweetheart," Cali said and kissed Rui one more ti before she pushed him outside.
Xander had an ear-to-ear grin on his face when Rui ca out.
"We are also waiting for Gavin..." Yera inford.
"Gavin? The anchor?" Rui asked.
"Yes, he is planning to write another story and this ti he wanted to write it based on our story..." Xander boasted as he pulled his wife into his arms.
"Oh yeah, I heard about that guy... Hate & Love Series right? Cali has copies of those books. The CEO Who Hates and The General Who Hates ...."
"Yeah, The General Who Hates is based on Keira and Zach’s story..." Xander comnted.
Rui laughed and teased, "And what will be the title for your story? The Doctor Who Loves ?"
Xander blinked and mused, "Why not? I will suggest it to Gavin since it suits our story perfectly... My wife is also a doctor who loves so muchhhh..."
"Ouch!"
Rui chuckled, seeing how Yera hit her husband’s chest.
"But jokes aside, it really does suit our story since we doctors love our wives so much... You see you will also be there Rui. I’m sure you will be added there as my sidekick..."
"What the heck?!" Rui babbled and Xander only laughed.
Yera shook her head and said, "Maybe it would be better if I go see Cali and help her a bit while you two continue with your bantering. Just call once Gavin arrives..."
Xander nodded and watched as his wife walked towards Cali’s kitchen.
He let out a long sigh and said, "We’ve all been through a lot but if given a chance to turn back ti... I would not change anything. I have no regrets about my actions and decisions seeing how rewarding it is to find true and lasting love. The kind of love that will make us grow more into a better person. Soone with whom we will share our lifeti with and create a family that no amount of riches in this world could ever replace..."
Rui smiled and seconded, "Yeah, I agree with you on this bro... See how you grew up... And who would ever guess that you still hope to continue your lineage?!" Rui teased, making Xander crumple his face as he complained, "Hey, why do you have to kill the mood? It’s a ntal disorder that I outgrew with the help of the love of my life!"
Rui laughed and shook his head... Surely Xander and Yera’s love story was a rollercoaster that ended up happily ever after like just his and Cali’s...
