The next morning, Candice was already awake when Cali woke up.
"Good morning. I hope you slept well..." Candice comnted with a bright smile.
Cali turned and saw her sitting on the couch as if she was there guarding her.
"How long have you been watching from there?" Cali mumbled as she rose up from the bed.
Candice chuckled and stood up as well.
"I see you have a sharp instinct," Candice comnted while she walked up to Cali’s balcony.
"I think you should swap with my room, Cali. That one has no balcony. This balcony is not safe..." Candice whispered.
Cali yawned and stretched her arms to feel the cold breeze.
"Ahh, I like this room. I can see the sunrise better from here." Cali comnted but then she realized sothing when she replayed Candice’s words in her mind, so she looked at her with a worried face.
Candice exhaled loudly then looked at her and said, "Yeah... It’s not over yet, Cali. I lied to Rui to appease him because I know he will do anything... Possibly take drastic asures to protect you. I can’t afford any loose ends in this case Cali, and so I will need your help or else Rui will end up jeopardizing everything, even your safety, without him knowing or realizing."
Cali gulped and whispered, "Rui did not actually explain anything to and just told to trust him about you when I asked what you are really and why you are involved with that black rose thing. Honestly, I wouldn’t get alard if soone just left that on my desk or anything, but soone managed to unlock my locker, put it there, and even locked it back."
"You don’t have to know anything, Cali because the matter is confidential. But it is true that your life is in danger and I’m the best person who can protect you in the anti. That’s why I said that I have to stick with you like a leach for almost all the ti, twenty-four seven." Candice explained.
"Isn’t it better to involve the police in this case?" Cali suggested.
Candice turned to her, looked directly into her eyes then firmly stated, "The police can’t do anything about it. As I’ve said already, it’s a highly confidential matter but I will assure your safety as long as you do as I say."
Cali closed her eyes and inhaled the fresh air then released so air before she looked at Candice and asked, "Do I have any choice?"
Candice winked at her and said, "No you don’t... Do your physical therapy first and then let’s have breakfast sis..."
Then she suddenly shook her body and with a crumpled face complained, "I’m not used to calling anyone as ’sis’. I’ll just stick to calling you Cali."
Cali laughed and said, "I assu you are so sort of an agent? Like in movies... Secret agent from the governnt?"
Candice laughed out loud, smiled a cynical smile, and said, "No baby... I’m a hunter."
Cali looked more confused so Candice added, "Yeah, well you can say that I’m sort of like that, a secret agent. That’s more of a befitting term, I guess."
Their talking was interrupted by the ringing of Cali’s mobile phone so Candice teased, "Go out now. I’m sure the bf misses you so much."
Cali’s face blushed and whispered, "Alright I will go out first and do my routine with Rui."
Candice nodded. From her direction, she could see Xander with Yera doing so running.
She would never understand why Xander would choose to live a normal life than gain the power he rightfully owned but then seeing him looking happy while bantering with his wife, Candice, whispered, "I guess everything is worth it..."
"Ahh... It’s ti to get to work and hunt!" Candice mumbled and walked back to her room to get all her things and to start doing her work at Rui’s reminisce.
Edward was still on the loose and Cali was marked as next prey so the bastard would surely attack her when they would least expect him to. The only good thing with the kinds of Edward was that they did their attacks with composure, in ways where they would not attract too many people, in order to hide their identities well.
anwhile, Xander stopped running and started to rest on the nearest bench. Yera followed him.
"I saw Candice and Cali at their balcony talking seriously. Sothing is weird..." he comnted as he tried to calm his breath.
"What do you an weird?" Yera asked.
"Hmm, just that... Oh, maybe I’m just thinking too much. Candice loves to bully people, so she’s probably just here to bully. By the way... Where do you want to go first, darling?" Xander changed the topic since he recalled he was there to enjoy and have fun with his wife.
"Let’s go to that famous museum," Yera mumbled.
Xander put his arm on her shoulders and pulled his wife closer to him.
"To be honest... I prefer staying in just one place, you see... How about we stay inside our room for the whole day? You see I miss it a lot, having you only for myself." Xander teasingly whispered in his wife’s ear.
"Xander Yang! Don’t tell you are jealous of your triplets?!" Yera gawked in disbelief. Well, it was true that their triplets were sleeping with them since they were born, though.
Xander chuckled and added, "Yeah I am. Imagine... They are the only ones who get to feed everyday..."
"Yeah, and you make my nipples swell the whole night!" Yera snapped, making Xander grin mischievously.
"Darling, can you bla your husband, huh? Let make your body swell all over for this vacation..." he whispered teasingly.
"But I want to look around in the morning..." Yera insisted.
"Alright. Let’s have a curfew for strolling around. We do it from morning till noon and then go straight ho afterward, every other day. I will send our itinerary for the whole vacation to you. You see I already planned it all out." Xander explained with a grin.
"You sure will make the most out of it, huh?" Yera scoffed and Xander pulled her more close to kiss her head.
"Yes darling... That’s the utmost plan... Make more little Yangs... hehehe..."
