The next hearing of the trial had to start at the sa place where the first hearing was to take place. All the procedures were the sa. Xander and his team reached amidst the sa tight security as they reached on their first trial.
They were finally blindfolded and taken inside the courtroom where they were given a private area to sit before the judge arrived. Xander’s blindfold was removed along with others who accompanied them and they were once again checked for arms or any dangerous objects.
The people at Yun’s side had also arrived and were sitting in their waiting area, and to Xander they seed a little more quiet than they should have been. Probably they were scared and had expected the Xander’s side to have more evidence and stronger witnesses as well.
But sothing was also making Xander anxious, and he suddenly felt his heart tremble that he wished he could talk to Yera at that mont, but his mobile was already confiscated by the security and asking Chad for his mobile did not feel too right at that mont when his complete attention should have been on the trial.
He tried to hide his anxiousness, which Lana still caught. She smiled while she shook her head.
They were soon called in the courtroom and were asked to present their case further in front of the judge. Lana opened her file and started with a bow.
"Your honour, though there are many cases in which Mr. Yun had misused the power of the Yue clan for his benefits and he had been actively involved in killing innocent people for his greed of property, but the worst sin that a human can commit is killing and eliminating his own family mbers just to keep their stake on the power.
Next, I want to present a few incidents which are clearly linked with Mr. Yun who thought he was successful in erasing all the evidence including the witnesses, yet he failed in it."
Lana then opened the case of Bernard’s accident.
"Your honour, here are the papers I have also submitted a copy of to the court, that give a complete story on Bernard’s death. His accident was pre-planned and well fabricated one.
But Yun covered it in the guise of an accident by even killing the truck driver after the accident. In the papers I had submitted, there are a few points that show the planned murder of late Mr. Bernard Cooper, also the child of one of the twins.
Point 1. The truck was seen in his right lane and at a dium speed much before Bernard’s car ca to that spot and we have witnesses for that. Later, the truck intentionally changed its lane and increased the speed to collide fatally into the car. Had this not been planned, then why would the driver wait for Bernard’s car to co before increasing his speed and colliding with his car.
Point 2. The ambulance that was supposed to take Mr. Cooper to the hospital was intercepted, and it took very long to reach the site and even the grim chances of saving Mr. Cooper beca less because of severe blood loss and lack of tily dical help. The witnesses and evidence for the sa had already been presented to the court earlier.
Point 3. Your honour and the most important one. After the death of the driver, his details were not checked thoroughly and a huge amount of money that he deposited in a span of a few days in his and his wife’s account went unnoticed. Where did all that money co from? Even if he sold his ancestral property, a few millions were difficult for him to attain unless... of course our Mr. Yun had a hand in it."
As Lana spoke this Liam stood up and said, "Objection your honour, he could have been bribed by anyone, even Mr. Xander could have bribed the truck driver to kill him as he was in love with Ms. Yera Han and wanted to steal her away from Mr. Cooper. How can my talented opponent na my client with no concrete proof?"
Lana smirked when she heard Liam’s statent.
’Is this how you defend your client, Mr. Sy?’ she thought then she took a deep breath and continued, "In fact, what my capable opponent just said is exactly right your honour, and to not na his clients without any strong and obvious evidence I should not take his na. But what if I have sothing that can prove right to my capable opponent?"
Saying this, Lana opened another file and brought out an envelope from it. Inside was a small letter in it and accompanying it was the forensic details of the signatures and handwriting and the approximate ti when the letter was written was determined.
Lana brought the papers out from the envelope and said, this is a letter written by that truck driver in which he had explained that his life could be in danger because of his taking up a risky job of killing soone and taking a lot of money in lieu of it. The people are very scary and would definitely kill him as soon as his task had been done. Also, he had nad them Mr. Yun and Mr. Long. There are two nas in his letter."
Lana explained the story behind the letter and presented the letter and forensic study details to the court.
"Moreover, your honour. The truck driver ran away from the accident site but was found later and they found him to be shot dead in the hospital where he was being treated. But they fiddled his postmortem report and the original report was with the family till now, which is brought here by us."
Saying that, Lana again brought out an envelope and gave it to the court to check. That envelope contained the original postmortem report of the truck driver and also attached were docunts supporting its authentication.
Lana waited for Liam’s objection, but to her surprise Liam was too quiet at that mont. She could see Yun cursing at him in silence, but Liam only answered Yun with a sigh.
The ga of death was on now...
