He already did his usual routines, but the ticking of the clock still felt so slow. He grabbed his mobile phone to dial assistant Ron’s number and asked, "Where is she? What is she doing?"
Upon confirming Yera’s whereabouts, which was in the surgical departnt’s eting room, discussing various patients’ cases for surgery with the other surgeons, he instructed, "Order so snacks for them. Make sure they’re tasty..."
Assistant Ron imdiately obeyed. He ordered so delicious pizzas and have them directly delivered to the surgical departnt.
The pizza delivery arrived, just in ti, as soon as the eting was over, surprising all the departnt’s mbers.
"Wow, what a good timing..." Dr. Rio exclaid when she saw the pizza boxes that Chief Doctor Gong was receiving.
Dr. Gong looked at Yera and said, "Dr. Yang had this delivered as his thanks for our hard work..."
He threw her a aningful smile, which made Yera blush. He did not say it, but his eyes were obviously teasing her.
"Wait, you an, Dr. CEO?" exclaid one of the other doctors, and Dr. Gong nodded. He looked at Yera again and explained, "Dr. Yang is often called Dr. CEO by many employees because he is our CEO too."
"Yeah, he’s so perfect. The most perfect man in our eyes. A perfect catch for us, single predators. He’s soone who has a background in dicine and then enhanced by his uncomparable knowledge in business," Dr. Rio gushed with twinkling eyes. Then she clasped her hands in front of her chest and squealed as she was picturing Xander in her head.
Dr. Gong looked apologetically at Yera, before he reprimanded Dr. Rio, "Stop talking like that. Who knows, maybe Dr. Yang is already taken."
Yera could not hide her smile, seeing the nervous look on Dr. Gong’s face, so she gestured for him not to worry by shaking her head furtively.
"Okay, guys, let’s grab so and eat... This sure looks delicious... Our Dr. CEO is extra generous today. So, let’s all be thankful," comnted Dr. Ye, who quickly grabbed a slice. But instead of eating it, he gave it to Yera. He flashed her his cutest smile and said, "Dr.Song... Here, for you..."
*Cough* *Cough* *Cough*
Everyone was startled by the sudden sound of soone coughing at the door...
"Dr. CEO?" one of the doctors murmured. Xander forced a smile on his face, especially at Dr. Ye, who had his hand hanging in midair because he was in the middle of handing the slice of pizza to Yera.
"Why are you offering that to the new doctor instead of your seniors or the chief doctor? Give that slice to Dr. Gong, who has been working hard to lead the surgical team to great success," Xander instructed in a provoking manner, which caught everyone in the room off guard.
Dr. Gong could sense jealousy radiating from their Dr. CEO, so he quickly grabbed the pizza from Dr. Ye’s hand and said, "Thanks. Okay, let’s eat, everyone. Dr. Yang, since you’re here, please co and join us."
Xander walked toward them and took a slice of pizza, which he imdiately offered to Yera, "Here... Eat this one." Yera accepted it while trying to control her face from twisting. But her lips tightened, indicating her disapproval. Xander totally ignored it and even winked at her in front of everyone.
Dr. Ye gave Dr. Gong a confused look, which the latter only answered by shrugging his shoulders.
Dr. Rio quickly made her move. With sparkling eyes, she asked, "Can I also be graced by getting a slice of pizza from our famous and incredible Dr. CEO?"
Dr. Gong almost choked on his pizza, and Yera moved fast to assist him.
Xander grabbed another slice of pizza and offered it to Dr. Rio with his usual charming smile, "Here, for our hardworking Dr. Rio."
Dr. Rio’s face blushed so hard. But this was a familiar sight for the rest of the doctors. It was a common thing at their hospital that won would swoon over their Physician CEO because of his amiable character. They respected him, and most importantly, they all feel comfortable with him.
Their snack ti was interrupted by the sudden beeping of Dr. Rio’s phone. "I have to go to the ergency room... I need three more doctors..." said Dr. Rio.
Dr. Gong assigned three doctors to go with Dr. Rio.
"No wonder you have a womanizer reputation, Dr. CEO. You know, they said you swap your girlfriends as often as you changed your socks... You’re a born sweet talker," Dr. Ye jested, but his words obviously carried a hidden aning.
Xander remained cool and gave him a charming smile as he answered, "Yes, I’ve heard that. But that was before soone caught my heart. Don’t worry, I already have soone special, and I will only keep a pair of socks for her. Because I intend to keep my darling..."
Yera’s heart throbbed faster than a drum roll... ’Is he serious? What the hell is he saying this ti?’
Before Dr. Ye could probe any further, Xander imdiately bid them his goodbye and left the room.
"That ans he is taken, right?" Dr. Ye asked the other doctors, who did not even bother to respond to him.
"Stop it, and start working now, Dr. Ye," instructed Dr. Gong.
Yera was still left dumbfounded by Xander’s words.
