Moreover, it seed Chen Zhifan’s cultivation level and strength had improved trendously after they parted ways. Ye Chen could not help but wonder about this. He had such remarkable opportunities, so could it be that Chen Zhifan had an opportunity of his own that was equally as impressive?

However, why would Chen Zhifan co to the Southern Region?

Ye Chen pondered for a mont, and suddenly, an idea flashed across his mind. Could it be related to the token that Chen Zhifan had given him and the inheritance connected to it?

At that mont, the head of the Wang Family, who had been observing Ye Chen for a long ti, approached with a fawning smile. He cupped his hands in front of Ye Chen and said, “I am the head of the Wang Family, Wang Yan. Young Master, may I inquire if my son has offended you in any way?”

“If my family has been rude in any manner, we are willing to compensate you as much as possible.”

Ye Chen glanced at him with indifference and chose to ignore him. In an instant, he activated Thundering Flash, transforming into a bolt of lightning as he sped off in a specific direction.

In Jiuyuan City, there stood a luxurious mansion with a crystal plaque at the entrance. On this plaque, two large characters were inscribed with divine gold powder. Hong Family. The words seed to float in the air, emanating a faint sense of majesty.

Many servants moved about the mansion, their cultivation levels evident. Clearly, they were not ordinary individuals. This was one of the strongest forces in Jiuyuan City, the Hong Family.

The Hong Family had a long-standing history, tracing back to ancient tis. In fact, their status in the Southern Region was quite significant as well. Furthermore, nurous disciples from the Hong Family had entered the prestigious Divine Wind Academy.

At this mont, in a dark secret room within the Hong Family’s territory, a man was being held captive. His long hair was disheveled, and his arms were stretched diagonally to the left and right, shackled to the wall. His legs were also restrained, and shockingly, a large hook lock engraved with runes pierced through his tailbone.

The man had his head lowered, appearing emaciated and covered in wounds, a clear sign of unimaginable torture. If Ye Chen were present, he would instantly recognize this man as Chen Zhifan, the first friend he had made in the Lingwu Continent.

At that mont, a man dressed in a golden robe, wielding a sword, stepped out from the shadows. He had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, standing tall and straight, exuding a handso yet sinister aura.

He advanced toward Chen Zhifan and fixed his gaze upon him. “Kid, I will give you one more chance. Tell

where the stone and the inheritance are, and I will spare your life. This is your final opportunity. Do you understand?”

Chen Zhifan lifted his head and opened his eyes, looking at the handso man with a vacant expression. He parted his cracked lips, seemingly trying to speak.

The handso man’s expression shifted, a glimr of hope flashing across his face. Over the past few months, they had employed nearly every form of torture to force Chen Zhifan to disclose the location of these things, yet he remained resolute and silent.

Chen Zhifan’s lips moved as if he were attempting to convey sothing, but his voice was barely a whisper.

“What did you say?” The handso man leaned closer to Chen Zhifan’s mouth, urging him, “Speak louder!”

“Get lost!”

“What?” The handso man frowned, suspecting he had misheard.

“I said get lost, you idiot,” Chen Zhifan replied with a faint smile.

“Trash! You are courting death!” The handso man’s fury ignited instantly. A killing intent surged in his eyes, and his aura raged violently. With a swift motion, he drew his sword. A cold light flashed as blood splattered!

The sword severed one of Chen Zhifan’s hands. Yet, Chen Zhifan remained unfazed, displaying only calmness in his eyes.

The handso man panted, attempting to rein in his anger. He understood that he could not kill Chen Zhifan, as he needed information regarding the stone and the inheritance. The location of the inheritance was not of great importance, but that legendary stone was crucial to the future of the Hong Family.

It was said that this stone held the power of reincarnation. If they could present it to the Divine Kingdom, the Hong Family would undoubtedly ascend to greatness overnight.

He observed Chen Zhifan, perplexed by how he could endure such brutal torture without breaking. Just how strong was his willpower?

Suddenly, a loud bang resonated from the entrance of the Hong Family’s residence. The entire door, along with the crystal plaque that had been reinforced by a formation, was blasted into pieces.

A man entered the Hong Family’s residence with a cold expression.

The first to notice him were the servants. They stared at Ye Chen in disbelief. This was the Hong Family’s residence. Even in a sprawling city like Jiuyuan City, it ranked among the top three powers. Who would dare to intrude so boldly?

Was this individual seeking death?

What astonished them even further was that the intruder was a Creation realm expert. This was madness! Surely, this person must be insane!

As Ye Chen stepped further into the Hong Family’s residence, dozens of gray figures appeared, blocking his path. The presence of these individuals was extraordinary. Although they wore gray servant clothing, the quality and craftsmanship were far beyond that of ordinary servants.

These individuals were all Creation realm and Star Aperture realm experts. The leader of this group, a seventh-level Star Aperture realm expert, glared at Ye Chen and shouted, “Ignorant maniac! Do you know where you are? How dare you trespass? Kneel down and surrender imdiately!”

As he spoke, the group surrounded Ye Chen completely.

The leader of the guards observed Ye Chen with a sneer in his heart and commanded, “Attack! Eliminate this person! Throw his corpse out of the residence!”

With that, he initiated the attack. A cold iron staff materialized in his hands, adorned with intricate runes

The long staff split into ten, creating ten shadows that carried imnse force, stirring the air and crashing down toward Ye Chen.

The other guards also unleashed their techniques, and dozens of attacks surged toward Ye Chen like a relentless wave.

Ye Chen did not even glance at the incoming attacks and continued to walk forward. Although these assaults could not harm him, the sheer annoyance of having a swarm of flies buzzing around him was intolerable, especially when he was already in a foul mood.

As these attacks were launched, Ye Chen spoke calmly, “The God of Death is here.”

In an instant, it felt as though ti itself had co to a halt, and his chilling killing intent erupted.

This icy killing intent surged like a blood-red river spilling from an icy stream, consuming all of the guards in its wake.

With no effort on his part, it crushed their spirits completely!

To add to the horror, a terrifying divine essence perated the river. It seed as if this blood river descended from the heavens, not belonging to the mortal realm, but rather serving as divine punishnt from the gods.
