Chapter 66: 66: The Descent of the God of Death (Part 3)_1
After the big tree fell, Liang Yixuan was left dizzy and disoriented from the fall. He had landed on his back, and it felt as though all his organs had shifted. His blood and Qi churned within him until suddenly, a tickle in his throat led him to clutch his chest, roll over, and spit out a mouthful of blood.
The trail of blood flowing down from the corner of his lips made his already pale, handso face look even more fragile.
Shujun ca running furiously. He glanced at Yixuan with a frown and tossed over a kitchen knife, "Watch out for yourself!"
Could it be Third Brother?
Yixuan looked up towards Shujun, only to see Third Brother already charging towards the black bear, axe in hand.
"You beast, courting death!"
Although normally graceful and charming, in this mont, he was utterly ferocious.
Shujun and the black bear were locked in combat. The bear, freshly awoken from hibernation, was at its most ferocious, hungry after a season’s fast and even more irritable than usual.
Yixuan got up from the ground, his hands tightly clutching the kitchen knife, standing alertly to the side.
Suddenly seeing the bear’s paw aid at Third Brother’s head, Yixuan’s heart raced, "Third Brother, from the upper left, be careful!"
At his toes, Shujun’s expression was sharp and cold. The normally enchanting and seductive phoenix eyes were now filled with rcilessness and a fierce aura. At this mont, he was no longer the carefree libertine; all traces of his forr laziness had vanished, as if a war god had descended, like a deadly weapon unleashed!
Iron Axe swung wide and struck hard, battling the bear. As ti passed, he sustained several wounds, but the bear fared much worse.
When the black bear charged once more, Shujun suddenly stepped on its knee, leveraging himself agilely onto the bear’s shoulder. At the sa ti, he swung the Iron Axe, brutally aiming the blade at the bear’s throat.
Bear blood spattered, covering Shujun, but the bear hide was too tough. His axe blow seed fierce but failed to deal a fatal wound to the bear.
On the side, Yixuan watched the battle progress unblinkingly until he saw the black bear reach out to grab Shujun, then open its massive jaws to sink its white teeth into Shujun’s shoulder.
The sound of bones cracking suddenly filled the air; Shujun’s entire shoulder was shattered.
"Third Brother—!!"
Yixuan’s eyes widened in horror as he took a step forward... "Don’t co here!!"
Enduring the pain, Shujun feared that Yixuan would get caught up in the fight. Then, with all the strength he could muster, he plunged the tip of the axe into the black bear’s heart!!
Thump—!
Teetering, the bear collapsed to the ground, its limbs twitching.
Shujun still grasped the Iron Axe tightly, waiting until the bear breathed its last before he tumbled off the creature’s body.
Lying supine, he breathed heavily, completely exhausted.
"Third Brother!"
Yixuan ran towards Shujun, his heart souring, "Third Brother, let
help you up."
Shujun grabbed his brother’s hand to stand, then his body swayed violently.
He clutched at his abdon as if sothing was flowing out from inside.
The most severe injury wasn’t to his shoulder but to his abdon, which had been slashed open by the bear’s sharp claws. Perhaps due to numbness from the intense pain, he had initially ignored it.
Shujun was taken aback for a mont, staring blankly before looking down at his abdon, his palm already covered in blood.
He...
At that mont!
"Awooo—!" A wolf’s howl echoed from afar.
Then more howls followed, seemingly answering the call of the alpha.
Shujun’s expression changed abruptly!
He had fought desperately for his life to kill a bear. But now, he was burned out, even with such a severe injury in his abdon.
And now,
In this place, the sll of blood had attracted a pack of wolves!?
It truly was a path to certain death,
Absolute and undeniable!
