Chapter 275: 275: Scar Removal Ointnt (2)_1

Liang Haoming hesitated for a mont but then quietly leaned closer to Dong Huiying, mimicking his third brother’s thod of processing the herbs.

The brothers helped Dong Huiying busily for half the day, leaving only Liang Yuening to keep himself aloof.

Dryly looking on, he suddenly felt a sense of exclusion, as if he were an outsider to the small group of three, unable to fit in.

Even the reserved and conservative fourth brother had started to take action, but the fourth and third brothers had already taken their places on either side of her. Where could he stand?

Liang Yuening felt a little stifled, pursed his lips and stepped past the table. He positioned himself opposite Dong Huiying and stared straight at her face, desperately seeking acknowledgnt.

Dong Huiying: "..."

Feeling sowhat creeped out by his stare, she was about to speak when Liang Shujun suddenly grabbed a handful of herbs and tossed them to Liang Yuening. "What are you dawdling for? Haven’t you seen everyone is pitching in? Co on, lend a hand!"

Liang Yuening was startled at first, then he lowered his head to look at the herbs passed over by the third brother, and then at the fourth brother awkwardly grinding them into powder. He held the herbs uncertainly, not knowing quite what to do with them, when suddenly he heard Dong Huiying speak: "Strip off the dry leaves and crush them, be careful, even the residue is useful."

"Ah!"

With a delayed reaction, a surge of excitent bubbled up in his heart.

She had spoken to him!

Although it was just an ordinary sentence, rely intended to get him to help with the work, his heart pounded fiercely, and he felt like he was almost floating.

Under this strange atmosphere, the four of them were busy for a full hour until finally, Dong Huiying cleaned the iron pot they previously used for cooking, added the various dicinal herbs, then put in a bit of ginger and so water. The bubbling sounds erged from inside the pot, and the bitter scent typical of Chinese herbs began to spread throughout the courtyard...

Liang Shujun, like a curious baby, moved closer to Dong Huiying.

"Baobao, what’s this for?" he asked, looking into the pot at the black liquid that had been simred.

Dong Huiying lifted her eyelids slightly, "Scar Removal Ointnt!"

Good, brief and to the point, had Liang Haoming possessed her?

Liang Shujun glanced at her, while she deliberately kept a straight face, unaware that her inherently cute appearance, young and tender, could still make soone’s nose bleed with her attempted seriousness.

Liang Shujun felt a warmth in his lower belly. Food and desire!

...

After simring over low heat for most of an hour, the liquid in the pot gradually dried out, leaving behind a slightly moist, black ointnt.

This ointnt had a refreshing fragrance and filled half the pot. She glanced at Liang Shujun and his brothers before carrying the pot inside the house.

"Liang Haoming?" she looked ahead.

Liang Haoming was sweeping the floor with a broom, and at the sound of Dong Huiying calling his na, he imdiately looked up.

"Co here," she said, placing the iron pot on the table and motioning Liang Haoming over.

Liang Haoming strode over.

By his side, Liang Shujun felt slightly jealous, his eyes fixated on Dong Huiying with a lancholic gaze, but Dong Huiying coughed awkwardly and pretended not to notice.

She had Liang Haoming sit on a stool and then took so of the black ointnt, "Close your eyes."

Liang Haoming gazed at her steadily for a mont before closing his eyes.

The black ointnt was applied to the scar on the left side of Liang Haoming’s face, a scar he had received trying to save his fifth brother, Liang Yuening, during last year’s autumn harvest. Naturally, there were more scars across his body, but those were usually covered by clothes and invisible to the naked eye.

The ointnt, fresh from the pot, was warm as she applied it carefully on his face.
