Chapter 272: 272: Advice from an Elder Brother (Part 2)_1

"Idiot," he murmured disdainfully, as if scorning sothing.

"When we were kids, Second Brother was not in good health. Whatever he wanted, I would yield to him, but he had his limits. If I truly liked sothing, he would never snatch it away from . Liang Yixuan, however, has shallow desires. Rarely does he want anything, but when he truly does, don’t be fooled by his usual appearance as a docile lamb. He knows that if he doesn’t fight for it himself, he’ll just lose out. It’s only you two dimwits!"

"One is always silent, expecting others to accommodate your moods, guess your thoughts, ponder your preferences, and then eagerly hand over whatever you desire. The other, visibly desiring sothing badly, still pretends to not only lack desire but also disdain it. You two truly deserve to plea in vain!"

At this point, he brushed the dust off his body and added, with a sowhat profound implication, "True enough, she is the fiancée of the Liang family, but with too many monks and not enough porridge, it’s clear she will ultimately belong to only one person. With such ager ambition, huh? I won’t say more, you can think about it yourselves. But let

warn you, if you dare spoil my plans again, huh!"

A single "huh," lingering with a resonance, the aning unclear, yet anyone with a brain could infer what was intended.

Liang Shujun walked away nonchalantly, but upon turning his back to his two younger brothers, he fiercely rubbed his stomach. These two brutes were simply inhuman, how could they strike their own brother so viciously? What if they had broken his bones?

Brothers should settle their own affairs privately. But what if Baobao had been alard?

Thinking of Baobao, his spirits lifted noticeably, and he quickened his pace.

This warning he had given was akin to digging his own grave!

He had exerted the last of his energy as an elder brother. As for the future, it would be up to everyone’s own abilities. It was better than turning brothers into enemies later on.

...

After Third Brother left, Liang Haoming hung his head silently, the heavy breathing from the fierce fight earlier the only sound.

He had always known how formidable Third Brother was. Although Third Brother always acted as if he were spineless, seemingly indolent and of no great ability, he was actually playing the pig to catch the tiger.

He was simply too lazy to fight because he didn’t like to sweat. He liked to be clean. He disliked sweating because it was uncomfortable and taking a bath was too much hassle.

This ti, Liang Haoming and Liang Yuening ganged up, thinking they could overco Third Brother. But all their skills were taught by Third Brother. When they were kids, the eldest brother was busy providing for the family, Second Brother was unwell, and the sixth brother was frail. Liang Haoming and Liang Yuening were essentially raised by Third Brother.

Losing the fight, they felt utterly dejected.

Yuening lay on the ground for a long while. Third Brother had been ruthlessly heavy-handed, and his body was in extre pain. Strangely enough, it seed there was an unspoken agreent among the brothers to not hit the face, aiming instead for areas hidden by clothes.

Yuening rubbed his shoulders and sat up, looking at the expressionless Fourth Brother, "Fourth Brother, what should we do?"

Haoming looked sowhat bewildered. He shook his head and said honestly, "I don’t know."

Yuening felt as if there was an anger inside him that, frustratingly, he just couldn’t vent. It was exasperating, maddening, and suffocating.

The two brothers sat in silence, and after an extended period of quiet, Liang Yuening suddenly blurted out, "I think Third Brother is right."

Haoming looked blankly at Yuening, who continued, "If he hadn’t ntioned it, I wouldn’t have noticed. But after he brought it up, I thought about it, and it seems to be true."
