Chapter 202: 202: Invisible Enemy (Part 4)_1

Master gazed at the full table of wine, at, and dishes, the corners of his lips lifted self-mockingly, "Being a bandit does seem like a decent occupation, just this table alone must be worth several taels of silver."

He picked up his chopsticks with his left hand and took a bite but suddenly found himself unable to swallow.

He missed the taste of ho.

It had been over half a month since he left ho, and he had no idea how things were there now.

...

Dong Huiying silently infiltrated the mountain stronghold.

Most likely because the bulk of the camp’s manpower had been dispatched, only a few were left behind to keep watch.

This camp actually resembled a village more, and when she had fled with Liang Yuening and Hong Xiangjun previously, they were in too much of a rush to notice much.

She hadn’t been able to observe carefully until now, and upon reflection, she estimated that the camp probably housed three or four hundred people, young and old, but all were n, with no won present.

It was evident that this place was quite prosperous; though the inhabitants didn’t wear silk or satin, they did sport good quality, soft cotton, and many even adorned themselves with golden and silver bracelets and decorative items such as perfud sachets or jade pendants on their belts.

It looked like these bandits were rather wealthy.

Thinking of her own ho, in the beginning, they were so poor they could hardly afford food, and even though she had made so silver from herbs she gathered, and scamd a good amount from Hong Xiangjun, they were still scraping by.

Envy and resentnt welled up within her!

Suddenly, she spotted a figure ahead, resembling a young boy in stature, about her own height.

As she noticed him, he also saw her. Just as the boy was about to scream, Dong Huiying quickly dragged him behind a building.

She knocked the boy out with a slap and swiftly changed into his clothes.

Shortly thereafter.

A dirty little boy crept out from behind the house.

...

Master sat on a round stool, with the table before him laden with wine and at. To serve such rich and oily dishes early in the morning spoke volus of the camp’s living standard.

But as he picked up his chopsticks, ready to dig in, Master halted again.

Putting down his chopsticks, he suddenly felt a pang of hosickness.

At ho, mornings usually started with plain congee and small dishes, sotis white rice porridge paired with buns; the most lavish al was at noon, of course, and evening dinners weren’t bad either.

It had already been half a month since he’d left ho, and he had no idea what the situation at ho was like.

He sighed.

"Master, is the food not to your liking?"

Master sighed, "Just missing ho."

"Since you miss ho, why not bring your family here?"

Master touched the mask on his face, a sense of lancholy washing over him.

Bring them here? One man stuck in this quagmire was enough. As for others?

If he wasn’t worried about bringing trouble to his family in the future, why would he need to shroud his true face in secrecy?

...

Dong Huiying sneaked into Black Wind Camp; she wasn’t in a rush to act.

Liang Yuening was injured and needed dicinal herbs, which she had prepared in a bottle and packed in her bundle as a precaution before she left.

Her main objective was to retrieve that small bundle.

She held her breath and watched patiently.

Black Wind Camp was in the midst of a turbulent ti, with patrol teams constantly on high alert. She frowned, mulling over the difficulty of acting in broad daylight, but worried that delaying too long might be too much for Liang Yuening to bear.

After considering, she decided to take a risk.

Master was deeply hosick and was unaware that a fish that had slipped through the net had sneaked back into Black Wind Camp.

Right now, he was sorting through a chest full of treasure that Su Lang had so n bring into his room the day before, ntally appraising the value when he suddenly heard noises from outside the door.
